"Assynn...!"
A woman greeted Aisyah this morning and brought her a glass of fresh cow's milk. "Good morning, how did you sleep today?", he continued.
"Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahhiwabarakatuh, alhamdulillah well", said Aisyah.
The woman who is usually called Eama Dormitory by the children who live in this dormitory looks at her while observing her.
"Thank God, I know this is the first thing you come all the way from abroad here to attend college and it's not easy for a girl like you to adapt", eama said as he sat next to her.
Aisyah simply lowered her head and received a glass of fresh cow milk from Eama.
"If you're having trouble here don't hesitate to ask Eama for help, I'll be happy to help you" Eama said kindly.
"Thank you, Eama, I'm so glad you want to help me during my stay in this country" Aisyah smiled at him.
"Well Eama go first, this is a piece of boardroom rules that must be obeyed here, you can read it and if you don't understand you can ask me", said Eama while giving a piece of paper containing dormitory rules that must be obeyed here.
Aisyah took it from Eama's hand and briefly read the rule paper.
"Rest, you just got here from a long journey" said Eama then moved from his seat.
Aisyah turned her head towards Eama who was standing at the door.
"My name is Fatimah but the girls in the dorm used to call me Eama and your name is Ayesha?", asked Eama.
"Yes my name is Ayesha!", he answered, standing and drawing closer to Eama.
"Welcome to our country, Aisyah and happy learning!", Eama said.
"Thank you Eama!", he answered and we both smiled at each other.
Aisyah sat on her bed looking at the piece of paper containing the rules of the dormitory, she had no intention of reading it just looking at it. "Fuuuihhh.!?", Aisyah sighed softly.
Long Aisyah looked at the paper containing the rules in her hand with a blank look, "Why did the baba send me here, I don't know anyone in this country!", she muttered alone.
Aisyah looked around her bedroom, this bedroom room was small and very simple, there was only a closet and a table and there was no bathroom in this room.
New lectures enter next week and during this week Aisyah no lecture activities. Aisyah then opened her suitcase and took out the contents of her suitcase then she arranged her things in the closet.
Aisyah deliberately only brought a little clothes because baba advised herself to buy it here so that the luggage is not too much. "I'll go shopping to buy my needs after this", he murmured softly while arranging his clothes in the closet.
Aisha put on her hijab and her shoes to go out.
Soon Aisyah was seen walking to the counter table and writing her needs were scratched by the paper provided in the rocket and then thrusting the staff of the dormitory counter.
"I will buy my equipment outside, is it allowed?", asked Aisyah at the dormitory counter attendant.
"Alright !", said the hostel counter officer.
"Thank you!", said Aisyah.
"Don't forget to take care of yourself outside more carefully!" the hostel counter attendant told Aisyah.
Aisyah received a card and was obliged to fill it. This card is like a clear attendance card in and out of this dormitory. "That's one detail!", inwardly. Then say goodbye to the hostel counter clerk and step out of the dorm door.
Before leaving earlier Aisyah briefly read the paper on the rules how the provisions of this dormitory, such as the rules if you have to go in and out of this dormitory. Even meal schedules and sleeping hours also exist and the rules for receiving guests in this dormitory.
Baba also sent Aisyah's dormitory for the reason that it is more guaranteed to live in a dormitory than in an apartment or other residence and can save costs. "Hmmm..!!!", Aisyah sighed softly as she walked out of the dormitory courtyard.
A dormitory attendant stood in front of the dormitory gate and checked his card. "Where are you going?", asked the hostel attendant.
"I'll go shopping to buy my necessities!", replied Aisyah flat expressionlessly.
"Do you already know the place you are going to?", he asked again.
"I've seen it on the internet" replied Aisyah slowly.
"Alright, this is a map of the city along with instructions on the closest places you can visit!" said the hostel attendant.
"Thank you!", said Aisyah.
"Thank you!", replied Aisyah while receiving the manual.
"Did you not ask for help from the hostel to accompany, was not the first time you came to this country!" said the hostel officer again.
"No, I just shop and don't want to go anywhere!", replied Aisyah.
"Well if you want to shop but be careful!", said the officer then opened the gate of the dormitory.
"Thank you!", replied Aisyah and then stepped both feet out of the dormitory.
"Don't lose the manual I gave you!", the officer told him.
Aisyah turned her head towards him then smiled and nodded her head. "It's my first time to go out and walk in a foreign country" he cried in his heart. "Wow, this is a thrilling experience !!!!"
Aisyah smiled with a carefree feeling, she stepped on her feet cheerfully. He then read the manual carefully and he saw the location of the supermarket in the manual in great detail.
Soon Aisyah spread her eyes around her and saw a supermarket building that was a few meters from where she stood. "Rightly what the dormitory clerk said if the supermarket was not far from the dormitory where I lived".
Supermarket buildings in this country are very different in their home country, the building is very simple but quite spacious yard.
Aisyah then continued her steps towards the supermarket. He remembered that Baba only gave him enough pocket money and he had to be clever to save money because the goal here was to learn.
Without hesitation Aisyah then went into the supermarket and looked into the room. A shopkeeper greeted him. "Welcome, can I help you?", he said kindly to her.
"I'm looking for daily necessities, can you show me where it is?", asked Aisyah.
"Let me show you the place!", the waiter then went to a shelf that was located a little far back.
Aisyah looked at the display rack and saw that some of her needs were available.
"There are available items for everyday purposes that you need" says the supermarket waiter. "These are all locally made items of this country".
In the shop, Aisyah noticed the shopkeeper who was explaining the items available in the store, the waiter clearly explained in detail the usefulness of one by one the items that were recorded.
"I only buy a little not in large quantities" Aisyah said.
"It's okay, it's my job. You don't seem to be from here?", asked the supermarket waiter.
"Yes, I am a student studying here and I am from abroad" Aisyah replied.
"You're so lucky to be studying abroad!", she was amazed. "I'm a college student working part-time !"
"Oh yes ? It was such a fun thing to get acquainted with my fellow student!", said Aisyah.
"Really ! This is really unexpected ! Nice to know you!", said the supermarket waiter.
"Sama-sama ! I am also very happy to meet you!", said Aisyah.
"Introduce my name Qadira!" said the supermarket waiter, sticking his hand out.
"Oh, my name is Ayesha!", said Ayesha quickly.
Aisyah shook hands with the supermarket waiter and they seemed to be chatting with each other familiarly.
"Are you comfortable living here?" said Qadira.
"Emm, maybe I need to adapt a little more in this place ! You know this is not an easy thing for me!", said Aisyah while shrugging her shoulders.
"Yes, yes, I know ! It is not easy to be away from family and live alone especially in a foreign country!", said Qadira smiling little.
Aisyah simply answered Qadira's words with a faint smile. It is true what Qadira said, it is not easy to stay away from family and just be alone in the country.
The young girl named Qadira was a student from the department of economics and worked in a supermarket to finance pocket money during college in this city because she came from a small town far from here.
Aisyah exchanged phone numbers and social media accounts from her account she knew her hometown. Aisyah smiled when she saw some of the girl's posts on social media, most of her evocative photos with her college friends, they both turned out to be one university only different majors.
Shortly after a conversation, Aisyah bought some of her daily necessities and immediately rushed home.
The girl named Qadira promised to visit her dormitory. For Aisyah adding friends is not a problem, she is very happy because she feels she is not alone anymore here and this is her first experience of getting acquainted with foreigners abroad after she landed both feet to first time in this foreign country.
