That night Marvin was back in the hospital. But in the morning before he saw Edgar was not in bed. Even the infusion has been removed.
"Huh?"
Marvin panicked, his mind immediately fixed on the scene as in soap operas. Where the patient easily withdraws the infusion and then blurs.
He panicked and tried to find Edgar. But then he found Edgar fresh out of the bathroom, dressed neatly.
"Edgar, where are you going so neat?. Conditional?"
Marvin asked as he approached. The eyes of the handsome man seemed to show if he was astonished at the appearance of the child.
"Edgar wants to worship, pa. It's a Sunday. Pray for your father Edward." replied Edgar.
Marvin was silent for a moment. He now understands the beliefs held by the child.
"And you're still sick, where are you going?" ask Marvin again.
"Om Dean said, Edgar can go home today."
Edgar was seen rolling up his shirt sleeves.
"When did Dean say that?" ask Marvin.
"So, papa's still sleeping." replied Edgar.
"You just dropped the condition yesterday. Koq today if Dean lets you go home?"
"Yes, I asked the same Dean directly" Edgar said again.
"Ok, wait!. Don't go anywhere, stay there."
Marvin restrains the boy so he doesn't leave. Then the man picked up the phone, and he called Dean immediately. The call is then connected.
"Hallo, Dean."
"Hallo."
Dean answered the phone, but with the body now stepping into the same room. Marvin suddenly widened his lips to see the presence of his friend.
"Ngapain you pick up the phone from Dr. Karnadi, if you're here too." Marvin became a sewot, while Dean chuckled.
"What the hell?. Why call me." asked Dean later.
"Why are the children told to go home?" Marvin asked back.
"Yes, he wants to go home" replied Dean casually.
"Yes, but I'm the doctor. You should know when the child can go home or not."
"If I've allowed it, it means it's healthy" Dean said.
"Lo sure?. Yesterday the condition he dropped, today's period can already be taken home. Is it the cure of lo magical?" Marvin is getting sewed.
"He's okay, bro. Besides, I let you go home, that means continuing to rest at home. It's not like coming home straight out of the installments." Dean explained.
"But this is him worshiping" he said."
"Yes, you are meenin." Dean spoke again.
"Let if there is anything, you as his father can be swift to give help." he continued later.
Marvin turned his head and looked at Edgar, while the one being stared at now slightly shifted his gaze in the other direction.
"Lo come along too. I know what he's doing if there's anything."
"Can't do it, Bro. You'll know I'm on duty again." said Dean.
"Edgar is healthier koq, you are calm" he continued.
Marvin took a breath and weighed in his heart. Honestly he is still not sure and still bergitu worried about the condition of the child.
"Yes, that's it. Is there any medicine I should take?"'ask Marvin.
"Edgar understood everything." replied Dean.
"Yes already."
"What about administration and others?" ask Marvin again.
"I take care of it." said Dean.
"Yes, my business to you means. Just save your payment receipt and WhatsApp to me."
"It's easy" Dean said again.
"Who are you, which place of worship?" marvin asked as the car started to go.
Edgar answered by telling him where it was.
"You're always worshiping every week?" ask Marvin again to Edgar. And Edgar answered him with a nod of his head.
"What is it?" Edgar asked back.
Marvin was a bit frozen, because confused what to answer. Let alone worship, embrace whichever it is not clear.
"Papa didn't believe that" said Marvin.
"Why?. asked Edgar in surprise.
"Yes, not just. May dong have a different view." replied Marvin later.
"do you keep on your KTP?"'
"There is." answered Marvin.
"But it's never been done either" he continued.
"Well, same with Edgar?.
Edgar asked again to be sure. Whether the belief he professed is the same as what is listed on the resident's card belonging to Marvin.
"Different." answered Marvin.
"Oh." answered Edgar briefly.
"No problem, right?" Marvin asked back.
Edgar shook his head.
"Keep if papa does not believe, papa run where if there is another problem?"
Edgar again threw the question.
"To the nightclub." answered Marvin innocently.
But then the mood turned awkward. Marvin realized his stupidity in answering the question.
"Cric, crick, crick."
It was as if there was a crickets suddenly making a sound.
"I mean papa..."
"Edgar has heard, don't move anymore." Edgar cut off Marvin's alibi, which the man had not yet fully revealed.
And as before, Edgar's voice remained cold. Marvin then took a long breath. It seems that from today on he should be really careful when talking to his son.
"Papa does not exemplify the loh yes, just a story." he said later.
He still wants to be seen as a firm father figure. Although he himself is too honest to open his disgrace in front of the child.
"Do you know Edgar?" ask Marvin.
Edgar sighed and nodded. A few moments later they arrived at the place of worship in question. After parking the car, Marvin opened the door lock and they both came out.
"Why do you want to come inside?" ask Edgar to Marvin.
"Mmm, but you don't hold the same beliefs as you" replied the man.
"Yes, it's okay" said Edgar.
"Some if you enter, it does not mean automatically immediately move the koq belief. That belief is in each one." he continued.
"That papa comes in and stays comfortable how?"
Marvin asked with a serious mimic, but Edgar laughed instead. Because it all sounds like a joke to him.
"Yes, if it's convenient, go on." continued Edgar.
"Is it okay if you come in?"
"It's okay, come on!"
Marvin followed the child and went inside. They chose a seat at the back, because the front was already full.
Marvin was a bit confused, especially when the child issued a kind of scripture that was somehow contained. Because Marvin has never read the scriptures of any faith so far.
When the praises were heard, Marvin was silent. Because he doesn't understand what he has to say. What is clear is that he saw his son so solemn and so obedient to what he believed. Marvin was suddenly ashamed of himself.
