CHAPTER 39

"I'm sorry, I've been so bad about you all this time. I never thought of you as a husband, but I still wanted another man when I was a wife" Deliaun began to sob.

"Don't cry" Gino carried Delia's body into his arms, his hands moving up and down rubbing her back to calm her down "It's not your fault, here I am the guilty one. I've taken you from your lover"

After Delia calmed down, Gino let go of her arms, rubbing the tears that drenched her cheeks "You know why I did that?" And only the head was answered by Delia.

"The color I don't want to lose another meaningful person in my life, I lost someone I love so much. I loved her so much that when she left I was so hurt that I even blamed fate for separating us"

Delia looked at the face of her husband who had started to tear up "Why did he leave you, don't you love him so much?" There was jealousy in Delia's heart when she found out that Gino loved someone so much in the past.

"That day we planned to visit the campus where we would continue our education after graduating from High School, it felt very happy because we could be accepted in the same campus. But on the way we had an accident and therefore he left me" Gino sighed before continuing his words "Maybe God loves him more than me"

Delia covered her mouth with both hands after understanding the meaning of the husband's words, she was wrong to have been jealous of someone who was gone.

"You know at that time I lost the spirit of life even I had to end my own life by freefalling from the bridge, stupid right?" Gino laughed but with tears streaming down his cheeks.

Delia clasped her husband's hand tightly, this is the first time Gino has shown her fragile side.

"If at that time there was no little girl who prevented me, maybe now I'm dead, maybe even my body will be washed away by the swift water of the river. That girl was able to reopen my world with her stubbornness, do you want to know who that little girl is?" Asked Gino with a loving look, Delia simply nodded in response.

Delia digests the story of Gino, whose memory revolves around fourteen years ago when she ran away from home and saw someone about to jump off a bridge.

"Let go!" Gino revolted as from behind Delia hugged her waist possessively.

"No, before I promised I wouldn't jump from here" Delia tightened her arms.

"Yes I promise and now let go of me!" Delia released her hand that shackled Gino's body until her gaze turned to a photo lying at Gino's feet.

Delia bent her body to take the photo "What a beauty" Delia's little brain began to think about the problem of teenagers before her, Full gaze Delia glance at Gino "Kaka must have been cut off, so would he kill himself?"

"Isn't this Kaka's girlfriend?"

"Alright" Gino frowned his little finger. "Now tell me what your name is little girl and why you're alone. Where's your papa?"

"My name is Delia but you can call me De, it's a dear call from my mom to me. I ran away from home 'cause my dad kept me from going to the festival, I wanted to go there but didn't know the way"

"Do you remember where your house is?"

Delia nodded then pointed to a housing complex that was still one location with them.

"Come, I'll take you home! It's no good a kid as small as you're alone outside the house"

Since then the two have not met again because Gino prefers to continue his education in Germany.
