The deafening ringing sound of a cell phone in the morning, woke up the figure of a sleeping man in his soft bed. His hands stretched out trying to reach a flat object that was on the nightstand next to his bed.
"Assalammualaikum, ma'am." His hoarse voice typical of people waking up giving greetings to the caller.
[Wa'alaikum. Joseph, you must go home now, son! Your wife had an accident.]
Hearing the news told by his mother, Joseph immediately woke up from his position that was originally lying down. "Astaghfirullahal. How did that happen, Mom?"
[Your father-in-law went to the hospital last night. And your wife went to see him because no one was accompanying her. He said he wanted to go home first to bring a letter or something because your father-in-law had to have an appendectomy. Aisha came home on a motorcycle. He's had a back-to-back accident.]
Joseph heard his mother talking while crying. He also shed his tears.
"Good, Mom. Joseph is going home now!"
[Right now, I can't leave your father in a stroke and your son Asiah is also sleeping]
"Mother's at home first. Take care of Father and Asiah." Joseph hurried to prepare himself to return to his hometown.

Joseph set off on a matic motorbike. He drove for almost 2 hours because he stopped by the mosque first at dawn.
The hospital is in a precarious state because many victims and families of victims are milling around in the emergency room area. Yusuf is looking for information about the victims of the consecutive accidents. Fortunately Aisha has been taken care of by Mr. RT in her area of residence, once she was informed there were citizens who had an accident.
Yusuf goes into the ICU ward because Aisha is still there. The nurse's voice was still ringing to inform his wife's condition. Soon he will have surgery even though the results are only about 1% likely to be successful. The wounds experienced by Aisha were broken bones of the thigh and hand, fractured skull bones, and there was a blood clot in her brain. As well as the puncture of broken glass in his stomach liver and bile.
Aisha, his wife who always smiled beautifully and spoke soft words, was now lying in a deathly pale state. There was no hue on her smooth cheeks.
"Misha ... Dear. Wake up, brother's home!" yusuf whispered with his trembling voice holding back the sobbing.
Joseph kissed his wife's forehead, cheeks and lips. As usual when they met. However, now he did not get a reply from his wife as usual. There were no warm hugs when she came home once a week or two.
"Son Joseph, the doctor checked Aisha's condition. He said the operation will be done soon, although the possibility of success is very small," said Mr. RT who just entered.
"Do it Sir! Even though the opportunity is small. I want my wife to be saved" Joseph replied.
"Yes, your mother said so over the phone. He wanted his favorite son-in-law to be saved." Mr. RT patted Yusuf's shoulders.
"Bang …." Aisha called out to Joseph in awe.
"Alhamdulillah, dear. You finally realize." Joseph kissed Aisha's hands and forehead with great emotion.
"Wa'alaikumsalam, darling. Of course, you'll come home and be around you when you're sick. Especially now you're in an accident like this." Joseph stroked Aisha's cheek. The thing his wife liked the most when they were together.
"Thank you, Bang. My brother has always been watching me. Also love, care for, and love me" Aisha said with tears beginning to melt. One kiss was given by Joseph on the lips of his wife.
"Of course it's because you're my beloved wife, brother." Yusuf smiled so that Aisha would smile too. Evidently now his wife was also smiling although a little because it looks like she is enduring the pain.
"Darling, where does it hurt? Later, Brother told the doctor to treat her," asked Yusuf in a panic because Aisha grimaced with the pain she was feeling.
"There is something more important that I want to talk to Abang about," whispered Aisyah on the sidelines of the ring withstanding the pain and her hand squeezing firmly into Joseph's arm.
"What is that, honey?" joseph asked with an uncertain heart.
"Bring up Asiah with affection. Don't let our daughter feel lonely! Educate him to be a sholeh, civilized, and learned child. Look for a connecting mother who loves her and is sincere in raising Asiah ...." Aisha's words were cut off because Joseph interrupted her.
"No, Honey! Don't talk about the no-no! You'll be healed. Only you can make Asiah a child like that." Yusuf stroked Aisha's teary face.
"No, Bang. I think this is the end of the line ... Brother, still young. Look for a replacement who can stand by you and accept Asiah, our daughter." Aisha squeezed the sheets and one hand of Joseph as she endured the pain of her wounds. Joseph carried Aisha's body in his arms.
"I just love you, Aisha. Not willing to do anything else," Yusuf said with tears watching his wife's agonizing face.
"I love you too, Bang. May we be united again in the hereafter" said Aisha.
"Find your happiness in the future. Don't dwell on our past. Let this be a wonderful memory that belongs to just the two of us" Aisha continued. Then kiss her husband's lips.
Aisha spoke the truth of God, her Lord. With the remnants of his strength and consciousness guided by Joseph. Before the last breath was exhaled in the arms of her husband.
Joseph's cries broke and roared calling the name of his faithful wife despite the distance separating them. Women who have always been friends share when they like or mourn for five years to build a household. A wife who never complained or was angry at him for having to take care of her two elderly in-laws. A wife who is smart and deft in raising their only daughter who is very active.
"Misha ... I promise I will raise Asiah well. So that someday when we meet, you're proud of Brother." Joseph spoke on the sidelines of his sobs.
"How will I tell Asiah? He'll ask 'Mother, where?'. What do I tell her?" Yusuf. He was also sad when he thought about his daughter who had not even turned 4 years waiting for 2 more months.
In that space there was only the sound of a roaring cry from a man who had just been left by the woman he loved. There was no laughter like they could when they were together. Yusuf felt that his soul had also gone along with Aisha's departure.
