CHAPTER 29. Forced Married
Residents living in teak forest areas were shocked by the sound of gunfire. As soon as they heard the sound of gunfire they came out of the house and found out what was going on. "What were you guys doing inside?" ask the middle-aged man whose hair is starting to gray.
"There was an insect in the car. My sister was afraid of the beast. And it just so happened that the insect got into the shirt" Rain replied trying as quietly as possible.
"Oh, it must be a lie!" snapped the man who hit the hood of the car earlier and was followed by other residents.
"Where is your evidence of brothers?" said one of the other residents.
"Here look at your ID!" pinta was a middle-aged man who was the Village Chief there.
Rania holds Rain's hand. He was terrified as he saw the man there staring in full search at him.
"My sister is still in school. He does not have a ID card yet" said Rain and his hand back growled Rania's hand. He tried to encourage Rania not to be afraid.
"lik! How could this woman still be in school," refuted the citizens who stared intensely at Rania.
"He's got his OSIS card. You can see it," Rain replied.
"Then show me your identity card for anything!" the Village Head.
The village head and residents saw the OSIS and KTP cards belonging to Rania and Rain. Their home addresses are different and this provokes the anger of the residents for feeling lied to. Although Rain had already explained it a few times.
"You have committed adultery in our village. You have to take responsibility for this by getting married right now. We don't want to do anything here, because of what you two did."
"What?" Rain and Rania were very surprised to hear the villagers' orders to them.
"You don't want you to get married tonight. Or your lives instead. We do not want the lives of the villagers threatened because of you. The villagers are threatening all of us."
"Sister, how's this?" rania asked with restraining her sobs. Her tears have been shed from earlier.
"Calm down" whispered Rain. Then he looked at the faces of the people one by one.
"It's not that getting married there should be a guardian. While Rania, her guardian is not here. His parents live in Jakarta, it will take a long time for them to get here" Rain said.
"It doesn't matter if you have to wait for them" the Village Chief replied.
"Alright, let us contact our family" Rain said.
Rania contacts her parents and Rain contacts Bintang and Ghazali. Briefly they tell the events that happened to him at this time.
"Sister, when I was like Alin. Married by force, what is the karma of Alin who married impromptu and forced, even though he did nothing," continued Rania.
