*Attention: characters, settings, events and more in the DUO novel J: This GENIUS is fiction. Welcome to the first chapter.*
“Genaya. My gee. Ge-”
That shrill voice cut off calling out the consciousness of a woman who was on the verge of unconsciousness. Gee is a dear call to Genaya.
With the rest of the effort, Genaya opened her eyelids which felt very heavy. Her tears flowed uncontrollably and her mouth was speechless, not powered.
‘Nig! Nigel Irey!’, those words could only cry out to Genaya in his heart.
Genaya's vision began to blur. The man he saw was both lying with him covered in blood. Nigel's eyes were closed, his body motionless but one hand grasped Genaya's wrist.
The memories of some time ago swirled in Genaya's head. About the moment together.
Nigel who suddenly entered his daily life. Unexpected nigel married her. Nigel has many dreams, promises, and plans to live with her. Nigel was her husband for a day.
Nigel, who this morning forced her to stick to the plan, took her up the seaplane despite their body still tired from the wedding and lack of sleep on the first night.
Nigel, whose facial features are full of happiness driving a seaplane type vehicle, brings himself to experience flying and landing in the water.
The last Nigel he had just seen, was lying stiff on top of another piece of plane debris that could hold the body tumbling into the sea water.
Genaya was no longer able to move her eyelids but her low level of consciousness could still feel her husband's hand grip weakening.
Slowly Genaya understood the rubble of his body was moving, no longer like that. Nigel who became the focus had already released the handle.
There was nothing Genaya could do but shed tears. Nigel was no longer with him. Her husband left her. She's alone.
Genaya remembered Nigel's words last night. On the talk of death. Her husband wanted her to die earlier than his wife, because it could save him from the madness of living alone.
Right after that brief memory ended, Genaya reached the end of his consciousness.

Six years later..
“You never get tired of asking Grandpa to tell the story of your Mama, Jemma.”
“Jemma will not be bored even though she has been very memorized, Kek.”
“Betul, very smart Jarrett Brown. Grandpa is the best at telling stories. My name is Jemma Brown, and I'm a big fan of yours, Grandpa Landon Brown.”
The three humans who were lying relaxed were laughing together because there was humor tucked away that they caught from the conversation just now.
It took them a minute to let their laughter go. A pair of twins who were five years older and a middle-aged man.
“Kek, let's start telling the story of Mama,” said Jemma with her typical whimper if only with family like now.
“Please, Grandpa. As usual, I'll shut up and listen,” said Jarrett as he moved to lay his body beside Jemma so he could freely hug. As is the custom of both.
“One day, came a miracle from the vast sea. There was a beam of white color that seemed to attract the attention of people who were at sea.
One of them was an old man who was a traditional food maker who was not far from it. His ship was directed at the impulse and made a closer distance.
It turned out that it was a woman who was like an angel asleep with a peaceful face on the rubble that was tossed about by the sea water.
The body of the angel was still weak even though the hose from the infusion bottles did not come off for almost a week. During that time, the couple of parents had never been far from the angel.
The day she was able to make a sound, her pair of beautiful eyes could not stop shedding tears. The angel could not remember the memory in his head.
He doesn't remember who he is. Name, address, family and more. For days the angel continued to force himself to get his memory and all that time his tears kept flowing.
The old man gave him the name Gail. Which means life. She is a woman who has the magic of survival.
He managed to live after a critical period and attracted the hearts of the child's ungodly elderly couple.
They want to keep her presence in their imperfect lives as a small family.
Also, she saves two powerful would-be lives hanging a new life in her womb. His body is weak but he is not.
Somehow, he was able to powerfully live his life that continued to go by not easily. His name is Gail Brown, adopted son of The Brown and mother of Duo J.”
The story stops, Landon does not continue the story because he saw his two twin grandchildren were asleep. Jemma looked slumbering in Jarrett's arms.
A line of wide-arched smiles on Landon's old face. Carefully she pulled the blanket for both of them to be more comfortable. A kiss on the forehead as a good night is also a cover.
Landon comes out of the twins' room remembering why today he was asked by Jemma to tell him about Gail's early story. It's no problem, he doesn't mind doing it.
But this time there was somewhat disturbing because Lando had been whispered by Jarrett about Jemma who looked gloomy after returning home from performing to fill the birthday event at the resort of Iking.
“Dad, what's up?”
“You've come home, Gail,” Landon said without answering his adopted daughter's questions.
“Let's just arrived with mom. What's wrong with Dad? The daydream looks serious” asked Gail back and ended a small chuckle at the end of her sentence. Cheerful face though tired.
“Daddy thought I'd like to cook balado shrimp tomorrow,” said Landon spontaneously. His fatherly side did not want to burden Gail's mind with what she had thought earlier.
“Wah, what is it for us? Tomorrow is what special day, Dad?” gail said as she turned to the calendar hanging nearby.
“Yes, special for the five of us. Earlier the tenant of the ship Dad said he would deliver their best shrimp as a thank you. As always, thanks to Duo J.”
Gail did not comment again. He could already understand the context, the causality that Duo J did. A pair of twins full of surprises.
“Gee Ellie, my wife who-” Landon's speech is truncated.
“Gail, why are you still here? Get ready to go to sleep. Soon at ten o'clock in the night, boy,” Ellie's soft voice sounded focused towards her daughter who had to be disciplined to keep her bedtime.
“Iya, my dear Bunda,” responds Gail, with her trademark fluffy smile. Further said, “Good sleep, The lovely Brown. Thank you for my Life Saviour.”
“My dear,” replies Ellie with an embrace and then kisses her adopted daughter's entire face. Their habits from six years ago. Further said,” Good night and thank you for living My Side.”
After Ellie, Gail kisses her foster father's hand and Landon replies by wiping the princess's head and saying, “Good sleep and thank you for completing The Brown, My Daughter.”
