Azan maghrib had just gone. I am still busy with a laptop in front, still not budging a bit from the chair on the front porch of the house. While Danu was inside, he said he was about to cook a snack for us to eat together. It just so happened that Bu Heni and Pak Karjo were not at home. I'm still struggling with some of the files I've saved on my laptop. The plan will be material for children tomorrow and the next few days. So later I just have to ripen all the raw materials that I have collected before coming to this village.
"Tha, come in. Maghreb!" the Danu word that came from behind the door.
Without turning my gaze away from the screen in front, I just shook my head. " A little more, Dan. Responsibilities. What did you cook? Was it?" I was still busy typing and just focused on what was in front of me.
"Udah. This, you want to eat here?" danu asked and walked out of the house and left the door wide open. The smell of banana chocolate cheese distracts me. With sparkling eyes I welcome Danu's artificial food.
We both enjoyed this snack while discussing about tomorrow's activities.
"Udah, salat?" I asked as I glanced at the man at the side, who was enjoying his warm tea and his first chocolate cheese banana.
"Udah dong."
The night begins to shift replaced by the night. Azan magrib seemed to be earthy from various places. My eyes shifted, to the courtyard of the house that began to darken.
"Why, Tha?" danu asked, watching what I was doing. I who was originally still sitting in a chair, now actually decided to stand. Walk closer to the yard in front of the house. Somehow there was a feeling of anxiety, there was something there that I had not seen yet.
"Tha? Why?" ask Danu again. He was standing next to me and looking for what I was exploring.
"Gapain you?" I asked to look at him.
"Well, what are you doing? Bizarrely. Any demons?" the question is spontaneous and always leads to demystification.
"Devil keep your mind!" I then hit his arm slowly. I then returned to the chair, intending to clear all the items on the table. But I turned my head back, and it made Danu suspicious of the surroundings.
"Tha, if there's a demon, just talk, so I'm getting ready for this" he said.
"Why ready?"
"Come in!"
I narrowed my eyes and closed the laptop and walked inside. Someone threw a pebble at the window. It sounded clear and loud, making us both stop walking and turn to the source of the voice.
"Good, Tha! Forgot! We can't get out of the magrib house!" peekik Danu glared at me. "Yeah, the game's coming in!" take it while pulling my hand.
I obeyed Danu and went inside the house in doubt. "Tha, the curtains are closed heh!" she looks like a stepmother in a soap opera. I put my laptop on the desk, my mind still glaring somewhere, but my body moves to follow what Danu told me. From the end of the room, I began to draw curtains with floral motifs that felt quite long and were able to cover the windows of this living room. Slowly I began to pull the cloth, while keeping an eye on the situation outside.
"Where? See something, Tha?" ask Danu who is now standing next to me. I kept quiet for a while, then shook my head for sure. But still feel that something strange on the outside.
"And you feel cold?" I began to feel uncomfortable, staring around the living room that felt quiet. It's just the two of us here now.
"Yes, the feeling of the window was all closed. Where's the wind, huh?" tanya Danu noticed the gap of the vent hole around the living room.
I glanced at Danu as the sound of lizard rang out loud all around us. But it feels strange. Not like the lizard I used to meet before.
"No horror?" I stared at the wall and looked for the source of the sound.
"Denger. The big lizard's voice is very yes, Tha."
"I don't think it's a lizard, Dan."
"Seriously you?" he asked, getting closer to me.
"Look around! Be carefull! I don't feel good!" my cetus. Danu nodded and swept a glance around. Looking for strange movements that may occur suddenly.
"That ... That's what?!" tanya Danu pointed to the corner of the living room that was connected to the back corridor of the house.
A woman is seen clinging to the wall, walking in a way creeping like a lizard. His mouth moved and let out a voice that resembled a lizard. Danu and I retreated, because we were sure the creatures were not human.
"What is this devil, Tha?" whispered Danu with the question I wanted to ask as well. His face looked old with a grin with a terrifying expression.
"And, it seems that's what his name is ... Umm Sibyan!"
