Inside her room, Cliantha unceasingly reminded Narendra of her current status as the husband of two wives. That means there are two obligations and responsibilities that the man has to bear in his life.
While Narendra was holding the 14-inch flat screen, Cliantha came to bring her husband a cup of coffee.
Cliantha always knew what Narendra needed. Right now, the man was actually tired of his work. Repeatedly yawned and stretched the muscles in his body, but the activity with his laptop screen was not over yet. The woman's initiative came up with a cup of coffee for her husband.
“Thank you,” Narendra told his wife.
“Mas, if you are tired stop. Can't it continue tomorrow?” Cliantha asked her husband very gently.
Narendra never once ignored Cliantha, he would hear and look at his wife as she spoke. “A minute, Honey. If it is delayed tomorrow, then my work tomorrow will accumulate because every day will increase. You sleep first, don't wait for me,” said Narendra looking at his wife sitting on the edge of the bed near his side.
“Mas tonight do not sleep here, yes?” Cliantha said suddenly, making Narendra wrinkle her face instantly.
Seeing Cliantha's serious face while saying that without any joking look there, made her ask, “What's the matter?”
“There are other wives waiting for you,” replied Cliantha.
Narendra snorted lazily, “Can you just a day not discuss him? How much should I say if I can't and I don't love?” Narendra said, but full of emphasis.
“But, after all, I've married him. Love or not love, can or can not, Mas still have obligations as a husband. Just as I am responsible for myself, Jihan has the same rights,” said Cliantha softly, but sounded very serious.
Instead of answering, Narendra instead rose from his position leaning on the bedboard, then immediately closed the screen of his laptop.
“Why do you keep forcing me, Cia? What do you expect from me and the woman?”
“Child, a child to continue your descent,” replied Cliantha.
“Yakin' short that? What if I did something more you never thought I would do? What then will you regret and blame me?” Ask Narendra.
Cliantha shook her head, “There will be no words of regret for me, Mas. I'm ready for whatever happens. She and I are both wives. There will be no word of jealousy for me.”
“If you think like that, let's try to prove it!” Then, Narendra moved and advanced his face, giving a gentle kiss on his wife's face. Start doing the romantic things they used to do even though this time there was no reply from the woman.
“Didn't you ever imagine if your husband did something like that to another woman?” Narendra asked Cliantha afterwards.
His wife was silent, “What if I touch her like this?” Narendra dipped in his wife's lips once again for a longer time. Then, open the khimar that Cliantha used.
“Like this,” the man peed his jaw and ears up to his wife's neck.
“Think once more before you tell me to sleep with another woman, Cliantha,”.
“Because obviously, my answer is ‘cannot’! So did you,” he added.
"Maybe God created us to be a pair, there is no need to try to add others in the middle of our relationship" Narendra continued.
The tears of the woman were flowing. There was a throbbing feeling inside her chest, but how else, marrying Jihan to her husband was an option.
“Who told you to cry like that? Do you want to break my promise? You know, Mas don't want to see you cry like that?” He wiped away the tears that ran down his wife's cheeks before dripping onto the floor.
The man once promised his mother, himself, and in the presence of Cliantha if she would not let her tears drip down the earth.
“Mas, but you know that I can never give birth to a child for you. The doctor has said if I–” said Cliantha paused because now the lips have been owned by her husband, although Cliantha can only be silent without wanting to give any reply or rejection at this time.
“Doctors are not God. While I don't mind, I'm not suing you, am I? Why are you the one who bothered?” Narendra said, rubbed once again tears that seeped from the eyes of Cliantha.
“Mas has promised the Lord of the universe, to the angels who bear witness to kiya's marriage, and to your father and mother that Mas will not let you suffer, will not make you sick. Did you forget what you said after our wedding?” Said Narendra tidying his wife's hair a little messy, then the man tidied up his clothes and khimar his wife until it looked neat as before.
Cliantha burst into her husband's arms, “Then, what about Jihan? I married her,”
“Jihan wouldn't be mad if I divorced him because he would know if between mas and him nothing happened and we didn't love each other. Mas will make a divorce agreement letter and give him some money as compensation,” Narendra said.
“What Jihan will be disappointed because I asked her before to marry you, Mas. I'm sorry for that,” Cliantha said feeling guilty to her husband.
“It's okay. Let's hope he's not like that, give him understanding. Because all I need is you. I married you because it is as pure as love from the heart. Don't try to bring in another woman because you are perfect for me,” said Narendra tightened the hug on his wife's body.
“When are you planning a divorce with Jihan?”
“Quickly, the sooner the better for him and us,” replied Narendra.
While outside the door of Narendra and Cliantha's room, there was someone who had been listening to the conversation of the couple. The quarter-century-old young woman cried sobbing at all the words spoken by the two men.
“Why are you guys so easy to play with my life? Why?” His words were softly accompanied by sobs and tears.
