Chapter 28 - Changing Thoughts

Ricky immediately quits his office job which he accidentally brings home. He wanted to see his wife immediately because he knew that she was sulking because of a small debate about Arya's two sisters and suddenly looked for her and Anindita.

Ricky turned off his study lamp before he closed the door and headed for his bedroom.

Ricky did not find his wife in the room but he saw the curtains on the balcony door open, making him sure that his wife was on the balcony terrace.

Ricky stepped onto the balcony. And sure enough, he found his wife is now standing on the edge of the balcony fence looking into the sparkling atmosphere of Jakarta tonight.

Ricky opens the balcony door slowly, he deliberately does not want to cause a noise, because he wants to surprise Anindita.

The man then stepped up, stifling, until now behind Anindita stood up and she wrapped her hands around Anindita's slender waist and supported the face on the wife's shoulders by closing her eyes because she wanted to feel the romantic atmosphere hugging on the balcony together his wife.

" Arya's Mas?"

Ricky suddenly opened his eyes, a moment later took the face away from Anindita's shoulder and stretched a hug around his wife's waist.

" Arya?" Ricky frowned. He really does not believe if it turns out that his wife is currently imagining the ex-husband of his wife.

" Aren't Ricky?" Anindita was wide-eyed and even immediately twisted her body when she realized that the current one nearby was Ricky, her current husband. Suddenly, Anidita became misbehaved because she was caught still imagining Arya in her mind.

" M-Mas ..." Anindita saw Ricky's serious-looking face staring at her.

" Are you thinking about Mr. Arya?" search Ricky with a sharp eye.

" Hmmm, I ..." Anindita paused her sentence. She had to explain what it was to her husband. To be sure, he felt at the moment Ricky looked very disappointed towards him.

A loud gasp of breath rang out, Ricky was not only disappointed but he was greatly shocked when Anindita called out Arya's name as she hugged him. To make her think, maybe Anindita's love for Arya has not been thinned, or maybe Anindita has never tried to bury her love for her ex-husband.

" Have you accepted our marriage yet, Anin?" Finally Ricky doubted Anindita's feelings, especially sometimes Anindita easily angry with him if there is something that is not pleasing in Anindita's heart.

" Why did Ricky ask that? You know how we got married, right?" Actually Anindita wants Ricky to understand if it will not be easy for him to accept another man after losing his beloved husband so suddenly. Maybe if Ricky didn't ask her to get married, she still chose to remember her ex-husband.

And all this time Anindita kept trying to accept her marriage with Ricky slowly so that she felt used to love her second husband.

" Yes, I know and I'm very conscious because I forced you to marry me." Ricky then moved away from Anindita and sat on the swing chair on the balcony staring through the night without looking at Anindita. In fact, he was the one who invited Anindita to marry as a sense of responsibility for his previous actions against Anindita.

" Are you angry with me?" Anindita follows Ricky's steps but does not sit on the swing chair. He just stood in front of Ricky who was not looking at him.

Ricky then got up and walked over and said, "It's night, we better get some sleep ..." Ricky passed by leaving Anindita.

Anindita was stunned to see her husband's sudden cold attitude. While Ricky stopped his steps because he realized his wife was not following his steps, then turned and said, "Come in .." he said as he continued his steps into the room.

Ricky went straight to the contest, breaking down his body and pulling the blanket up to his chest. With a supine sleeping position, he folded his arms over his face. Without a good night or kiss he always said to his wife before going to bed.

Anindita also laid her body beside Ricky with the position of the body facing her husband who covered her eyes with his arms.

" Mad, are you mad at me?" Not getting an answer from Ricky when on the balcony earlier, Anindita again asked because she knew if her husband had not slept.

" Sleep ...!" That's the only answer that came out of Ricky's mouth..

The next day, Ricky still silences Anindita. The man who works as Executive Assistant at PT. Angkasa Raya Group only talked to Mother Fatma while at the dinner table and joked briefly with Ramadan and Arka.

Anindita was eager to ask, but she was sure Ricky would be as early as last night when she asked. Until finally Ricky said goodbye to leave for the office.

" I'm leaving, Assalamualikum ..." Ricky took his briefcase out of Anindita's hand.

" Neurova ..." Anindita kisses Ricky's hand but does not reply to a kiss on Anindita's forehead which usually becomes routine before leaving for the office. " What time will I be home?" Anindita deliberately invited to communicate even though her husband had said goodbye.

" Maybe I'll be overtime at the office .." she replied as she passed leaving Anindita out of her apartment.

Anindita sits limp on the couch finding Ricky's attitude this time. He rubbed his face with his palm as if regretting having thought of Arya last night.

" Oh my God, why is it like this?" she drifted with teary eyes because it was filled with clear fluid.

Dirga glanced at Ricky who was in front of his desk. Ever since seeing his assistant this morning, he felt that his assistant looked a little moody.

" What's up, Rick?" ask the big boss of the Poetra Laksmana family business owner to Ricky.

" What's what, sir?" Ricky asked Dirga.

" Why don't you look excited today?" search Dirga back.

" That's just your feeling, sir." Ricky took the documents Dirga had proffered to him.

" Is it because of your work that's piled up?" ask Dirga back. " It's because you're on leave to have fun with your wife. So now, just enjoy your busy life." Dirga thought that Ricky was moody because of the work he had given to his assistant

" I'm used to getting a lot of work done, sir." As if to dismiss Dirga's assumption, Ricky said if it was not a matter of work that plagued his mind at this time.

" It's so arrogant of you, Rick!" Dirga chuckled sneering, although he had to admit if for work, Ricky did not need to doubt his ability and loyalty.

" What really bothers you? Don't you want to confide in me? Hey, you're a normal human being, you need someone like me to brainstorm. Who knows, I could come up with a solution. Consider it a reward, because all this time you've done a lot for this company." Dirga could feel if there was something the assistant was thinking about.
