Vera was taken by the old man to a place called Alfheim, Alfheim is a city whose crime rate is highest among other areas on earth

"Where am I??"

Vera said lying on a bed, she saw the old man who saved her sitting beside the window sipping a cup of warm tea her gaze was fixed out the window to the night city that was drenched by the spatter

"Kau sudah bangun nak?"

"Suhu tubuh mu masih panas,tunggu sebentar aku akan membuatkan teh untuk mu"

"Tunggu pak,dimana aku? dan siapa dirimu?"

"Bukan kah lebih sopan jika kamu memperkenalkan dirimu terlebih dahulu?"

"Namaku..Vera..Ashley Vera aku berumur 12 tahun baru saja lulus dari sekolah dasar beberapa hari lalu,dan sekarang aku ditempat ini"

The old man looked surprised by the introduction Vera made

"My name is Jo, this is Alfheim, and this little house is my home"

"Sir do you know where my sister is?"

"I found you alone in the desert, I saw no one but you"

"My sister was in a place like a very big factory, it was behind a thick forest, I left her there, I should have stayed,but he pushed me so that I could get out of that place, instead, my brother was held captive by them, I kept running aimlessly and finally my life was saved by you, thank you sir I owe you"

The man made a cup of tea for Vera he put it on the table next to Vera's bed

"How are you feeling?"

"Better than ever, now I feel a little safe"

"Good, rest I'll show you something later, now I have to go you'll be safe here"

"Heart heart.."

The man left the room, left Vera alone, and Vera drank the tea and soon fell back asleep, the next day she woke up but she did not see the old man saying that Jo was there,Vera wakes up from her bed looking for Jo around the house, she realizes that she is at high altitude after opening the door to Jo's house

"Wow, it's high"

He went back inside and found a letter on the table, he picked it up and read the letter

Vera, have you realized? You need to know if every morning until the afternoon I work, I will be back at 8 pm, I will take you to a place, I will be back soon, you can do anything there, you can do anything there,but be careful not to fall

"He still works at a young age? In my town a 50-year-old man is going to retire and he's just going to enjoy the rest of his life"

At nightfall, Jo returns from her job and opens the door and meets Vera who is reading a book at her house

"What books are you reading?"

"Don't know, this whole day I just read this thick book"

Jo picked up the book Vera was holding, the book was titled Monster, it was based on a true story thousands of years ago, it was about a man who had problems in his life,he was ostracized not even considered his existence by the community, every day he was always treated like garbage, he said,until the day he met a creature resembling a shadow that with his words convinced if the man could become strong if giving his body to the monster, he,the man agreed and it became the beginning of a very terrible massacre, until now told if the creature still exists but its existence is unknown

"Well as I promise, I'll show you something, follow me"

"Where are we going?"

"A bar"

Vera follows Jo, she walks far enough, passing through the city filled with A.I and very bright lights, Vera and Jo pass through the narrow streets between the houses, and,go down the stairs and crossroads until he finally arrives at a fairly large bar

"Oh Mr Jo, welcome is there anything important that made you come to this place?"

Jo sits right in front of the bartender as well as Vera

"Whiskey?"

"No, there's a little boy here"

"Ohh! Hey, what's your name?"

"Vera Ashley"

"Ashley?"

The bartender glanced at Jo, just as Jo first heard Vera's name, but she tried to cover it up with a smile on her face

"That's a good name! Really am! My name is Shierran I own this bar"

While talking, the door bell rings a sign of someone entering the bar

"I'm home"

"And that's my son Edgar"

"Hi, I'm glad Edgar met you"

Edgar reached out and Vera grabbed him they shook hands

"My name is Vera"

"Good name, man"

"Edgar what if you take Vera to your room?"

"Oh sure,ayo Vera"

"I'm sorry if it's a mess, I'm not very diligent about getting all this done"

"No problem, my room is like this too"

"Are you Mr Jo's son? I just saw you"

"No, I was found by him in a desert, I was practically lost back then"

"You mean Sahara? It is a dangerous area!! A lot of Vadallat's hanging around there"

"Vadallat? What'sthat?"

Edgar lay on his bed, while Vera sat on a chair made of iron

"Well a monster with no feelings, you know? mr. Jo and my father are Gottenburg, but they're out because they're being treated improperly by the government"

"Gottenburg what else is that?"

"You don't even know Gottenburg? it was a kind of city order guard, where did you come from?"

"Asgard"

"Oh, I've heard the news, I'm sorry for the terrible incident, by the way do you like astronomy?"

"You mean the stars and everything in the sky? Yeah, I like it they're so beautiful at night"

"really? Come follow me, I'll show you somewhere!"

Jo runs outside the bar Vera follows behind him he climbs up some buildings to find a higher place he seems to have been used to different from Vera who had to work hard to climb some buildings, he said,until at a place high enough Edgar directly pointed towards the sky, there is not covered by high buildings or highways that many cars pass through, he said,a planet that was very close to the size of almost a third of the sky and millions of stars in the night sky, at that time Vera was amazed by the scenery he saw, he was stunned to see the beauty

"I've never had a good spot like this, the planet Horus is very good from here"

Vera's attention was attracted by a spear-like light whose tip was stuck in the tallest tower in alfheim

"What's that?"

Vera pointed towards the light then Edgar smilingly explained to Vera

"That's the Rhongomyniad it's the first energy source for Alfheim, if the light is dim then all the technology here will die as well"

"That's it, this town really is"

"Please!!!!"

While enjoying the view of Vera and Edgar heard the screams of a woman who was not far away

"What's that?!! Let's see!"

Vera ran followed by Edgar, he jumped over some buildings until he finally stood right above the sound, Vera went down to the balcony and tried to enter through a window whose glass was not too thick

"Edgar can you-"

Without further ado edgar directly punched the glass in front of him, the broken glass made a sound that made someone in the house show its shape, he said,from the darkness the color of his eyes shone brightly his pupils like a cat when during the day, he approached with his saliva dripping onto the floor

"Vera.this isn't normal, he's not human"

Edgar sends his words directly to Vera's mind through a network planted in Vera's brain

"I know, what should we do?"

"Don't move he doesn't seem to see us"

"I get it"

While in a tense moment, suddenly a drop of water fell from the roof, right in front of Vera, the creature immediately looked and walked towards Vera

"!!!!"

Edgar could not do anything he also just froze speechless, sweat slowly descended from Vera's forehead, the man's hand held Vera's neck then choked her, making Vera unable to breathe

"Verah!!!"

Edgar ran towards Vera with a dagger in his hand, not yet approaching he was instead kicked by the creature which made his head hit the wall making him fall unconscious,slowly Vera's consciousness began to disappear on the other side Vera's eyes also slowly turned bright blue

"T-tolo-"

Seeing Vera's eyes turn blue, the creature releases Vera and drops Vera's body

"You're Ashley's family? Hard to believe, I met my ancestors in a place like this, what's your name?"

"Go!! Get the fuck out of here!!"

The creature in the form of a woman was holding Vera's cheek, Vera was very frightened, she curled up in tears of fear

"Don't fear Vera, from now on I'll protect you"

The voice slowly dissipated, Vera ventured to see the situation in the room, she saw the unconscious Edgar and tried to wake him up

"Edgar woke up Edgar"

Edgar was unconscious, he fainted because his head hit too hard, while trying to lift Edgar's body, suddenly someone entered the door of the room, opened the door,that person was Gottenburg who heard the commotion from Vera's place and decided to check it out

"What happened?"

Vera did not answer the question, he was sent home by Gottenburg earlier while Edgar was rushed to the hospital, the security forces also found the corpse of the dead plumber in a state of his body split into 2
