ELIO'S PRESENCE
David was curious about the figure called mami by him. He tried to peek out from behind the door and saw a woman holding his hand. Elio quietly turned around waving his hand making David smile.
But somehow when he saw the figure of the woman made him a little disappointed. Whoever Elio's mother has nothing to do with him, right? But in fact, what David saw at that time was not Maura, but one of the nurses that Maura trusted to take care of Elio when he visited his patients.

That night Maura and Tania sat on the iron swing in the front yard. Both of them often did that a few years ago while counting as many stars as possible. A silly habit that is typical of their friendship.

Maura began to tell about her life while in Singapore. Where it was 2 months pregnant, lucky she met Dirga who helped her register at the wrong hospital. It would have been hard if the director of the hospital hadn't been Dirga's aunt.

Elio remains happy when he returns home from school even though only his mother picks him up, while the other child is picked up by his father or even his parents.
He always tried to be cheerful despite not having a papi figure in 5 years. Every parent meeting only Maura who always pick him up and sometimes together with Dirga. Some of his friends often bully him as an unwanted child and have no father. But she never told her mother, because she was afraid that her mother would be sad.
Elio would run into hiding and then quietly cry every time he was bullied. However, as time went on until he was 5 years old he got stronger, his intelligence was increasingly visible even because he was used to holding his own problems to make him behave more mature than his age.
Tania trembled to tears as Maura recounted some of her life over the years.
"What if David finds out about her whereabouts? Their faces were so similar it would certainly be hard to hide!"
Hearing Tania's words made Maura pause for a moment, slowly swallowing the saliva.

That day David was allowed to go home after 3 days of treatment due to recurrent stomach acid. He was too busy with work to forget regular mealtimes.
David wearing a blue shirt stood on the doorstep. "I'll see uncle tomorrow!" I don't know why the words of the boy who met him yesterday kept ringing even he hoped that Elio would really come.

Maura stopped her words when she saw the figure of David sitting near Elio. His body trembled, his gaze implying a deep emotion even his chest felt sore right then and there.
No less surprised by Maura, David also felt a tremor in his heart after 6 years Maura disappeared leaving a piece of divorce papers to make his life in bitterness. Now the woman who had given him the wound had returned before him.
The two did not speak but stared at each other for a while. Elio could see the tension from their countenance.
Slowly David looked at Elio's face, his curiosity about Elio grew even greater. If yesterday he just thought his face might just look like him, but this time maybe the situation has been different after seeing who Elio's real mami figure.
Maura pulled Elio's hand rough and extended her legs wide. David followed him.
"Maura I want to talk to you!"
Maura doesn't tell David to follow her.
"Maura!" David held Maura's hand.
Maura finally stopped her steps without taking off her armband with Elio.
"I want to talk to you!"
"But I don't want to talk to you!" Retracting Elio then stepped in a hurry.
Elio was a little afraid to see their debate, only silent to the point of not daring to make a sound as Maura pulled her up to her two little legs hurt and was overwhelmed to adjust her steps.
"Maura listen to me, we have to talk!" David continued to follow until he was not aware that their position was far from the pharmacy.
