22. Side Work

Chapter 22 PI

Anta got a call from Mr. Kagawa. He asked the girl to help him chase away the ghost in his cousin's house. Ria insists on refusing, but since the down payment has been transferred to Anta's account, they must solve the case. Dion asked to come along, as did Saori. Only Masayu was at Ken's house and kept guarding the cliff.

"Hello, my name is Rinai. You must be Uncle Kagawa's man?" A 15-year-old young girl greeted Anta and the others.

"Hello, my name is Anta. This is Ria and Dion, this one– is nothing, hehehe." Anta almost introduced Saori the ghost.

"Come with me! My father was going to the next island. He asked me to accompany you" said Rinai.

"Where are we going?" ask Anta.

"The empty house that my grandmother and grandfather once lived in."

"Oh, so the ghost bothers her grandma's your grandpa?" asked Ria to interrupt.

"No. Two months ago when this empty house was about to be renovated, the ghost began to come disturbing. He frightened the workers and left his job. So, no one wants to work anymore to renovate the house" said Rinai.

Anta arrives at an empty two-story house. Actually this house is suitable to be used as a villa, but yes because it is haunted so hamper the renovation of the house.

"May you help me open this door. It seems like something is holding back from the inside" Rinai pinta.

Anta nodded and turned to Dion.

"Sister, please!" anta's Word.

"Hmmmm, I'm all about strength. The ends carry gender," complained Dion. The man finally tried to forcefully open the door of the house. Dion broke it.

"Who would want to live in a place like this? Even though it has been renovated like it is still serem, deh," chirped Ria pursed her lips towards Anta. 

Finally, after trying to push through and break down, Dion managed to open the main door and allow the women to enter first. 

"Have said you're scared!" sahut Ria's.

"You are brave?" Dion asked back.

"Yeeee, not!" firmly Ria.

Just now Anta and Rinai laughed a little at Ria and Dion's jokes.

"Through here!" Rinai walked towards another big door and opened it.

Inside they could hear the sound of their feet pounding on the ceramic floor echoing in the magnificent but empty space. The walls have been seen peeling here and there with wild tendrils growing haphazardly, but the mansion still looks sturdy.

The smell of stuffy and moist moss is smelled from all directions, followed by an unpleasant sight as long as they enter the house. Much of what they saw was like material objects for an abandoned renovation just scattered about.

"I'm sure this villa will be good later" said Rinai.

"I agree. This house is still good, you know. Who knows, many visitors will stay here. Even though when viewed again carefully, this house feels comfortable, you know," said Dion.

Anta had seen these objects filled with dust and mud due to the ceiling that began to leak. Something caught his attention when he caught a glimpse of blood on a ceramic that Ria had held.

From the outside there was a thunderous storm, the rain had just fallen. Those who were still in search of it traced the altar filled with no man's antiques. The house is darker than they ever thought. Anta's premonition became uneasy ever since he set foot on the ground. It was as if the house was calling out to whoever passed by.

"No feeling, anyway? Feelings like someone's watching?" shush the girl.

Anta looked around but did not find any figure there. Dion also looked to the right and to the left. 

"Your feelings only once, Ria," said Dion.

Ria just shrugged her shoulders. Finally, Dion stopped in front of a door.

"What place is this?" ask Dion.

"Oh, I also don't remember because I'm actually lazy here" said Rinai.

In front of them stood a large wooden door. The finely carved door with the animal symbols looked very old but still sturdy. The door is antique with distinctive ornaments of root creeping that form the figure of a lion's head.

Rinai opened the door slowly. The sound of suffering is heard.

"Have you seen the ghost?" ask Rinai.

"Not seen anything" replied Anta.

Likewise with Ria who directs her magic camera. As Dion was about to pull out his phone, his car keys fell on a pile of papers. Ria then helps her cousin to find the car keys among the pile of objects lying just like that on the unkempt floor. 

Dion even began to unpack old objects around the place, but they never found anything. Suddenly, from the corner of the girl's eye, a shadow was captured by the camera lens. Ria then uses her magic camera to see someone standing looking at her. The girl stepped back. He pulled the end of the jacket Anta was wearing.

"Nta, what is it?" ask Ria.

Anta turned her head, then realized that they were no longer just the four of them in the place. Ria stepped back as the foreign figure walked over. 

"Sorry if I may know, who are you, huh?" tany Anta on the figure of a woman. She was wearing a knee-length black dress with no arms. Just as they faced each other, Anta saw a mysterious figure who finally lowered her veil, letting the young man see who she was. His face was partially deformed like a scar from a hard water flush or burn.

"What do you want in my house?" ask the woman. His face was pale with sharp eyes.

Anta showed the figure to Rinai and Dion.

"We-we, we're just–" Rinai to the point of fear of being speechless. 

The ghost pointed at another door. The door was now finally opened, revealing a space that was more black and dark than all the rooms in the house. The four youths could sense that something was in there waiting for them. Something that makes Anta feel confident that there is the presence of other creatures that make his friends shudder in horror.

"In there is Seiko's ghost. He was very angry" said the ghost of the woman.

"But we have to wake him up. It would not be possible if Anta just chat with you," said Anta.

"What do you want?" ask again.

"Can you get out of here?" anta pinta.

"Can't!"
