66. The Titis Nyi Ageng

Chapter 66 PI

In a house behind a hill near Villa Kemuning, Mr. Kartasasmita confronted a woman he had been waiting for. The woman looked at him with a glaring but firm look. Her stature is beautiful, white, with a bunned hairstyle. His lips were dyed red with a blushing smile followed by an intoxicating smile, but it made anyone goosebumps to see it.

"Welcome, Mrs Karina!" greet Karta.

"Hello, Mr. Karta!" 

Karta asks Karina to come in. They then headed to the dining room. A waiter came by letting some waiters put down dishes filled with meat. The two sat down to the long dining table. There was a pause between the two, before the woman switched to a piece of meat on the plate. 

"This baby is fresh?" ask Karina.

"Of course, Madam." Karta grins.

The woman once again smiled, looking at Karta alternately with the servant before starting to say to the man, "I congratulate you on your election as the new mayor. Forgive me for not being able to attend the sacredness of your inauguration ceremony and the thanksgiving party which of course must be magnificent for the Kartasasmita class family."

"Thank you, ma'am, it wouldn't have happened without your help." Karta then invited Karina to eat. 

A few minutes later, only the sound of the clinking of a knife and fork belonged to Karina. The object collided with the plate on which was served meat and vegetables long beans and corn. The sound of knives and forks that rang out broke the silence and awkwardness between them.

Karina was so enjoying piece by piece of meat before her. Devouring it without caring about the Karta that began to be wrapped with the feeling of starting as a host. He knew where the meat came from. He held desperately the turmoil of the nausea. 

Soon, the black-cloaked Karina raised her thin black veil. He placed the knife and fork in his hand on the table and gently rubbed his lips with a pink eating tissue. 

"Can the Madam feel the girl's presence?" ask Karta.

"Hmmmm, I feel it. But, the aura of Purple Kencana is also very pronounced," he said softly. 

Karta looks confused. He then signals his servant to get Karina's favorite fruit and green tea. The man's servant nodded his head. 

"The Purple Badge Queen is here?" his question implied a curiosity that was finally expressed.

"The Purple Badge must be in her mother's body. But, I also felt another aura, an aura of ugliness that was more pitch-black" Karina said.

"Is he one of our enemies, Madam" asked Karta.

The woman was silent for a moment, looking blankly at the place where the man who was beginning to feel uncomfortable because he was paying attention to her. 

"I don't know for sure if they're opponents or friends. But, as Karina Ageng Wijaya, the incarnation of Nyi Ageng, the ruler of the western region, I will not allow any other creature to seize the girl" he said. 

"But, didn't Nyi Ageng have been defeated by the Purple Kencana Queen? What if Kanjeng Nyai loses again?" ask Karta.

Shortly afterwards we heard footsteps approaching. Karta was stunned for a moment, before turning to see a shadow of a man who approached with a black wooden box. 

"This, Mrs Karina," said the foreigner, wearing a safari suit, and then placed the carved black wooden box on the table. Afterwards he stepped back before standing to keep his distance from Madam Karina's seat. Karta looked like she was observing in confusion. Karta got up and approached.

"What's that?" ask Karta. 

"The proof of Nyi Ageng's power is still there and unrivalled. Please open the box!" karina's Order.

Karta was silent for a moment, her eyes turned to Karina who showed a facial expression so calm. Carefully, Karta began to open the wooden box. After turning the knob, the man was then choked to hear the click of a box that was padlocked by a kind of wooden slipper. He got rid of the wooden slot that was blocking and opened the wooden box. 

There was a creaking sound as the box cover was lifted. At a glance Karta saw a soft red cloth adorning the contents inside the box, with something that began to look like it had hair with skin glands.

The card continues to lift the cover until the box is finally completely open. Karta was silent in a face expression shaken violently. He looked at the waiter with a look of disbelief. The scene that Karta had just seen seemed to numb all the nerves in her body. His mouth could not utter any words.

so that he could see clearly the contents in the box. Karta was silent, her body frozen. The man was so shocked to see the contents inside the newly opened box. It was clear that it was a fragment of his wife's head.

"Dadies?" Karta stared in disbelief. 

"Nyi Ageng remains superior, right? Ayunda should think before speaking. He forgot who he was dealing with" Karina said with a smile.

The stunned card began to emotion. He grabbed a kris and was about to stab Karina. But the tall and skinny servant reminded. It is better if Karta places a kris on the table, before everything here becomes more and more chaotic. Hearing that, Karta's hand suddenly felt trembling. How could a woman bully herself without bringing anything, but her sharp gaze was able to shake herself.

The sound of the clinking of a keris was heard from above the marble floor. Karta turns out to be too afraid of someone who is currently in front of her. It was like he had something terrible about him. Karta was silent, saying nothing. He tried to sit quietly on the chair. Yesterday the wife decided to meet with her social friends in the city even want to stay overnight. But now, only the body part is back home. Karina stood up from where she was sitting, intending to leave the residence of Karta. The man stopped him immediately.

"I will not dare to doubt the power of Nyi Ageng" said Karta. 

The woman paused for a moment before smiling. Actually the skin of the woman's face is very sagging and wrinkled when viewed up close. However, the woman seemed to have magic that made her look youthful when viewed from afar.

"Good, Mr. Karta. Friday night is the Friday night of the kliwon plus Blood Moon. It is the right time to perform the ritual. You should know what to do with that girl" Karina said. 

"Okay, Mrs Karina." Karta nodded.

Karina grinned, then she stepped out of the mansion with her assistant. The woman hummed all her steps. A song that gives anyone the creeps when they hear it.
