Once upon a time in a village on the island of Java, there was a pair of lovebirds who were drunk with romance. They are Surti and Tejo. The two are determined to be in love even though Surti's parents do not approve of their relationship.

Raden Ayu Suryani Titiana Dewi or better known as Surti is the only daughter of a richest noble in Sukarejo Village. As the only daughter of a nobleman and the richest man in the village, Surti was not allowed to connect with Arya Tejo who incidentally only a child needs a poor farmer.

Difference is not an obstacle for the two to continue to live love even though they are forced to undergo a backstreet relationship so that they are not known by Surti's parents.

One day Tejo invited his heart to meet. The nineteen-year-old conveyed his crazy idea to get the blessing of both Surti's parents.

Surti who was as crazy as the sectarian Tejo immediately nodded in agreement as the young man whispered something to him.

"Are we really going to do it here?" surti asked as he arrived at a gubug in the middle of the rice field

"Yes, it seems like this is the only safe place for us to make love, " replied Tejo with a faint smile

"Worried that your father would marry you to someone else, even if you were pregnant with my child" Tejo said

"Don't worry, I'd rather die if I had to marry another man" replied the girl giving her support to Tejo

He then pulled the man towards the bamboo hut.

Surti did not hesitate to take off his clothes, and pulled Tejo into his arms.

The two lovebirds who are in the middle of the romance are no longer awkward to channel the desires of both.

The hot weather that afternoon seemed to add to the passion of two lovers in the heat struggle.

*Shelves, srak, srak!"

There was the sound of someone approaching the club. Raden Mardiyono, Surti's father was so angry to see his daughter panting in the confinement of a poor peasant child who was not at his level.

"Surtis!!!" he shouted in a high tone

The sound of Mardiyono screaming like a toa that instantly stops the two lovebirds who are making love.

"Wire, Romo is coming!" surti exclaimed immediately pushing Tejo's body and putting on his clothes.

He immediately ascertained whether it was his father's voice or not from the cracks of the fence.

"Where is this??" tanya Tejo was terrified

"Hurry up and put your clothes on, and hide!" surti

"Hidden where??"

"Damn!" pekik Surti when he saw his father getting closer to him.

The girl then immediately pushed Tejo's body until the young man rolled into the middle of the rice field.

"Hide there!" surti

The girl immediately sat down sweetly and sang a melodious song with a cheerful face.

"Basic delinquent, where is he!" mardiyono

"There is no one here, only me who is enjoying the beautiful scenery this afternoon" Surti replied gracefully

"Sad, you think you can fool Romo," said the man then showing a red mark on the girl's neck

"Is this evidence not enough?" asked the man to grin

"Oh that.that's.tadi Surti was bitten by an insect," replied the girl nervously.

"Have it done, don't lie too much because it will only make Romo even more fed up with you guys. Listen carefully." said Mardiyono for a moment stopped his speech.

"What would Juragan Mardi talk to me about??. Will I be punished and made Romusha (a forced laborer in the Japanese colonial era), or will he marry me to Surti for sleeping?"

That night after the prayer isya Tejo prepared to go to the residence of Juragan Mardiyono.

The man walked towards the residence of the Heart Tribulation.

*Tok, tock, tock!!

Tejo ventured to knock on the door of the most luxurious house in Sukarejo village with anxiety.

A man opened the door and let him in.

"Monggo, Ndoro Mardi is waiting for you" he said, then led the young man to the living room.

Mardiyono smiled faintly looking at the young man. The man was like intimidating Tejo when he saw his shabby appearance with the typical sweaty smell of a porters.

"Sugeng ndalu Ndoro" said the young man lowered his head

"Sit down!" mardiyono told him to sit down

Tejo then immediately sat on the floor, and Mardiyono laughed at him.

"Based on commoners, you should know yourself before approaching my daughter!" mardiyono

"Why sit under Mas, sit in this chair" said Sirti then pulled the young man to sit next to him.

"Do you really love my daughter?" ask Mardiyono

"Of course I love him all my heart,"

"What can you give my daughter?" ask again

"Not any treasure or jewelry, all I can promise her is happiness. I'll try to make her happy no matter what," he said

"Are you willing to be a warrior against the Japanese invaders?" ask Mardiyono

"Of course if that is the condition that Ndoro gives so that I can unite with Surti" Tejo replied

"You're really very persistent, I love your spirit. Alright I will approve your relationship, as well as marry you off if you make it back safely after following the guerrilla war against the Japanese invaders" Mardiyono said

"Well," the young man replied steadily.

After returning from the residence of Raden Mas Mardiyono, Tejo immediately met a shaman in the hamlet of Sukarejo. The goal is to gain power so that he can return safely after joining the war.

"Wear this necklace!" said a shaman giving him a necklace of wolf fangs

"Is this thing really a magic amulet that can protect me from the rifles of the Japanese soldiers?" ask Tejo

"Of course, this necklace is a magic necklace that will make you immune to firearms" the man replied

"But remember, you are prohibited from making out let alone having contact with a woman while wearing this necklace. You have to let go first because it's taboo. You should also feed her seven-figure flowers on Friday kliwon, and bathe her with anj*ng blood!" coherent

"Then what happens if I forget to perform the ritual?" ask Tejo

"You will not die Tejo, but you will become Asu Baung's demon after the necklace's guardian sucks your blood" Mbah Ponijan replied

"How do I get back to being human?" ask Tejo again

"You'll never be human again, but you can die after you rediscover your true love,"
