"You're safe now. We'd better get back to Almiron" Jose said, framing Ivana's face. Staring closely at the beautiful face that looked pale from fear. Ivana blinked her eyelids back at Jose's gaze.

Ivana nodded her head. "Yes Jose", he said obediently. Unlike usual this time the girl looked so obedient to Jose. Ivana is like a child who complies with parents when Jose tightly clasps his fingers into his car.

Ivana was leaning against Jose's car seat when Lizzy approached her. Lizzy knew in fact that her boss was very scared to face a situation like this. "Don't go. Accompany me Jose", said Ivana half-pleasingly to Jose who was standing right beside the bed.

Jose speechless. His face came back cold with no expression. But he complied with Ivana's request, joining her on the spacious bed.

Jose sat leaning back, while Ivana laid down her body. Their two hands are interlocked. Slowly Jose carried Ivana's handcuffs over her thighs.

"Close your eyes. You don't have to be afraid anymore, you're safe now to be here. I will take care of you" Jose said in a soft tone to Ivana's ears.

This was the first time the man spoke so softly to Ivana.

"Yes Jos. Thank you for helping me and my plantation" Ivana said softly.
