Jogja, You & Memories

Jogja, You & Memories
The 47th stanza

“Married to you?” Kendranata.

Their two pairs of eyes stared at each other intently and stood face to face. Minutes passed in the silence that raised the hair, straining the entire nerve muscle just to see them guess each other all the intentions created.

Kendranata glanced at me and smiled sweetly, I almost smiled and lowered my head.

“There is no other woman in your life until you are willing to accept a female grant from your own best friend?”

Dominic nodded without hesitation to the point of making me shuffle behind him. Both of my index fingers went into the belt loop of his jeans to hold him in case he was going to attack Kendranata.

“Your sister gave a will to take care of Rastanty, keeping him for life is indeed in need of a marriage.” Dominic pulled my left hand, showing off the ring on my left finger. “We're engaged.”

“Dominic Prambudi.” Kendranata applauds. “I am between concerned and amused. But it looks like the death of my twin makes you happy—”

“Noooooo...” I moved in front of Dominic quickly and spread out both hands.

“No one is happy for Pranata's death! No one is happy with death and loss. Crazy and moron who is happy with all that!” I growl. “Or maybe Kendra's happy now? Mas Kendra is happy because it has lost a competitor that should not be a threat so you have to compete with your own sodara, moron, plummet.”.

Dominic smothered my mouth suddenly while one of his hands coiled around my waist and held it tightly in his body. “Do you want to face a woman like this, Ken? Do you intend to make a bigger problem in your family with the presence of Rastanty who is your friend?”

Dominic snorted, “I wouldn't have possibly let go of Rastanty to anyone who was at all a twin of my own best friend or just a friend. Because you also will not be possible for you to be able to maintain and be patient over all the maki poisons that come out every time he loses control!”

I thrashed. It's been Dom, it's been my screams in my heart, but it seems Dominic's strength is stronger than I thought.

”Two years I survived with his cold demeanor, no matter, even remember your twin. Sampean think it's easy to be cheated on by a victim of betrayal and almost crazy? Teach me, Ken. Adherence. Your sister nikung me. Why love is dead but what? You yourself know what your sister looks like!”

Kendranata rubbed her face in annoyance. “I don't mean to take Rastanty. I definitely don't want to be the same ex, Pranata. I mean, why would you marry a girl whose father my mother obviously doesn't like? Want you to make our business more ruined and tenuous?”

“What is this?” I said after removing Dominic's hand. “You got along with Kendra? You have the same business as him? But you're afraid I'm looking into his eyes? What does this mean, Dom?”

I grabbed my hair. Staring at Dominic for a bit then Kendranata then.

“I'm sure you're friends, are you sure you guys praise me?”

“I'm just afraid you're in love with Kendranata, Ras!” dominic Jakak. “I'm afraid you like the same he keeps heartbroken again because you consider him Pranata.”

“I told you, I have you!”

Kendranata is back to applaud. “I used to think that the choice of Pranata was really good, you know, son of the rector, keep pinter again. Dilalah, after I searched for evidence turned out..” He looked at Dominic. “Begin' taste—”

Bugh... The raw bogem landed on Kendranata's face. I staggered to the side before coming to my senses and held Dominic in my arms.

“Never do you demean Rastanty in front of me, Ken. Business now is different, we are not competitors.”

“Indeed, you are also my best friend. You told Pranata's real girlfriend, let our competition be more clop.”

I looked up directly. “Bener, Dom?”

Dominic's expression suddenly wry and avoided my gaze.

“Your team, Dom!”

“I can clear, Race... Race!”

A commotion broke out in the living room, chairs shifted roughly along with the falling table trinkets.

I dropped myself on the bed while covering my ears in a curled up position. The sounds of their commotion became faint along with the tears flowing down my cheeks.

“Yes Allah, why is this so messed up, O Allah. What's wrong with me.

“Ras... Race... I can clearin.” Dominic said hurriedly after breaking the door leaf. “I do that because I don't like you being happy with Pranata. I'm waiting for you to break up with him, but not in that way, Ras. I beg you, listen.” he said worriedly until his voice shook.

“You're evil, Dom." I turned my back to him as I pleased. “Go from my room!”

“I need cotton and red medicine!”

That speech automatically got me up. I looked at him with my blurred eyes.

“You injured?”

“Attack!”

I got off the bed and hurried to my desk. Look for cotton and red medicine on the bookshelf.

“Bring out.” I held out those two things. Dominic took off his shirt and wiped away the tears with his finger that smelled of carnation.

“Me and Kendranata have been in krav maga class. Maybe a lot of bonyok now while my hands can only wipe your tears, Ras.” Dominic looked at me sadly.

“I've been talking wait in the room, how hard it is to recede!” My left hand pulled the chair while positioning it in front of Dominic.

After my gaze returned, I could see blood coming out of his mouth and nose, some traces of fist flushed on his clean skin.

“I don't know what's going on between you guys until I'm brought in until it hurts, Dom. Though I never intentionally hurt you guys!” I said before coming out of the room, I saw the mess in the living room along with my mother who had just come from the stall.

“Ono opo iki, Race. Ono opo?”¹ said my mother was shocked by her falling groceries.

“Dominic same Kendra fight.”

“Yes, Gusti.”

“Later I clean, buk.” I said before turning around. In the kitchen I took clean water and went back to my room.

“I'm tired of guessing, Dom. I want you to tell me what I don't know! I'm sick of the honesty you keep!”

“Sorry, Race.”

“Apologies tomorrow, now silent.” I pulled my chair closer. “Your mother's father if he finds out about this incident I have no face, Dom.”

He frowned in pain as I wiped the blood on his face with a wet towel and as I scanned his face closely while carefully putting the red medicine on the corner of his lips, Dominic smiled faintly.

“My parents don't care what kind of face you have, they just want me to be happy regardless of the root of our problem.”

I went back to cleaning up the wounds on his body after smelling a glimpse of his bruised and jontor lips a few hours later.
