They Married

"I love you Kaluna." Rizhan hugged the belly of Kaluna who was cleaning the make-up on her face. Rizhan saw Kaluna's reflection through the mirror, from his view he looked very adoring to his wife. "We are officially married." He said while peeping the top of Kaluna's head.

The warmth slowly infiltrated into Kaluna's chest cavity when she felt Rizhan's gentle touch. Kaluna felt lucky to find a man who loved her so deeply like Rizhan. They had only known each other for a few months but Kaluna did not take longer to convince herself that Rizhan was the right man to be her life companion.

"Thank you for choosing me." Kaluna turned her head up looking at Rizhan.

"I thank you for receiving the love of ordinary people like me." Rizhan pulled Kaluna into his arms.

For the sake of marrying Rizhan, Kaluna left all her facilities and luxuries and ventured to live in a simple house together with Rizhan. Initially Windi—mama Kaluna did not agree if her son married Rizhan for reasons of Rizhan's unstable economy. Rizhan does not have a permanent job so Windi heavily releases the princess only wayangnya. But Kaluna still insisted on marrying Rizhan, she tried to convince her mother that the sustenance was arranged by God.

"Mama believes in me, Rizhan will treat me well, we will start a business from scratch." As Kaluna said to her mother when asking for the blessing of marrying Rizhan. Kaluna understood her mother must be traumatized at her marriage which ran aground in the middle of the road, mama Kaluna did not want her daughter to experience something similar.

"Thank you for convincing your mother to marry me." Rizhan kissed Kaluna's forehead fondly.

"Please promise to be faithful."

"I promise." Rizhan said firmly. He lifted Kaluna's body and took her to bed.

They had just had a simple wedding reception at a 3-star hotel. Actually Windi could have financed Kaluna and Rizhan's wedding to take place more luxurious but Rizhan did not want to rely on mama Kaluna, Kaluna, as a man he had to bear the cost of his wedding and he was only able to celebrate the reception at the not-so-famous hotel. Rizhan was lucky because in this case Kaluna did not demand him to do a luxurious reception let alone invite many guests. For Kaluna it is better they save the money to start their own business.

"I promise I will always be loyal to you because even though there are many beautiful women out there, they won't be as beautiful and as good as you." Rizhan lay beside Kaluna slowly pulling the kimono rope that Kaluna was wearing. Kaluna did not protest at all even though she had not finished cleaning her make-up.

Kaluna nodded, "i believe."

Rizhan was surprised because behind the kimono Kaluna was not wearing anything anymore, she was trembling because she had only first seen such plain Kaluna.

"Excuse me Kaluna." Lirih Rizhan before touching Kaluna deeper.

Kaluna laughed, "why do you use excuse me?" The word sounded funny in Kaluna's ears because Rizhan said as if he was about to enter the house of in-laws.

Rizhan laughed not because he also felt funny, he just wanted to cover up his nervousness being this close to Kaluna.

Kaluna closed her eyes as Rizhan started touching her body from the top slowly descending down, she enjoyed it because Rizhan was the man she loved. It will be a long night filled with warmth.

"Excuse me, Ms. Kaluna."

The voice broke Kaluna's daydream about her first beautiful night with Rizhan. Kaluna blinked a few times trying to return to the real world, she wiped her wet cheeks, not feeling her tears melt just like that all this time considering the moment where Rizhan treated her like a princess that night. Thinking after this Kaluna will never get it again makes his chest feel sore like being stabbed by sharp objects many times.

"Mrs Kaluna is alone?" A nurse entered Kaluna's room followed by the woman who was carrying breakfast for Kaluna.

"Yes." Yeah." Kaluna nodded.

"I'll check it out first." Said the nurse, he checked the Kaluna infusion bag that was almost exhausted. "I'll change the infusion yeah."

"Do you want me to feed him?" Ask the waiter and put Kaluna's food on the nightstand.

"No, I can do it myself." Reply Kaluna with a faint smile.

"Where's Mom's husband?"

Again the same marriage affair, "there's business in the office." Kaluna grimaced as the nurse injected medicinal liquid into her infusion tube after replacing her pouch with a new one.

"If you need anything, just press this button." Obviously the nurse.

"Thank you, Ma'am." Kaluna thanked the nurse and waitress who had brought her food and drinks for breakfast. But Kaluna did not want to eat at all, she did not want to do anything but breathe.

Surely at this time Kaluna looks very sad, three days ago had a miscarriage and today there is no one who accompanies her. Her husband is somewhere else and is on a marriage contract with her affair. Why is his life so sad? is there anything more painful than this? Never mind, after all Kaluna asked Rizhan to marry Eliza immediately. Although Rizhan insisted on waiting until Kaluna recovered and was able to go home but Kaluna still asked Rizhan to get married today because Kaluna did not want to see her own husband's marriage. It was better that he lay alone in the hospital than to witness Rizhan's marriage to Eliza.

"Kaluna."

Kaluna looked at the open door and a woman of her age was wearing formal clothing. He entered in a hurry.

"Astri." Just looking at her made Kaluna want to immediately shed her tears again, it felt like she did not cry enough two days. Seeing her best friend Astri makes Kaluna want to cry again.

In addition to Kaluna's best friend since childhood, Astri is also one of the employees at Kariz Furniture.

"Kaluna, why don't you tell me if you're hospitalized." Astri hits Kaluna on the back slowly because she is his best friend who has not given him any news since two days ago.

"Your mother is also sick so I don't want to bother you." Kaluna bent her lower lip.

"I know if you go to the hospital just from other employees, you know why the hell like other people, I'm your friend from a small why you still think will bother anyway." Astri nagged as usual, he was already like a mother figure to Kaluna who lived far away from her mama who could rarely meet.

After marrying Rizhan, Kaluna moved to Jakarta from her hometown Bogor. Kaluna wants to stay away from her parents to make her study independently.

"What's the pain, Rizhan kept going now, he's not in the office, I think he keeps you here."

"Just one-on-one dong, I'm dizzy with it." Kaluna covered her ears with her palms.

Astri took a breath of restraint to not talk too much but how else, he was very worried when he heard the news that Kaluna was hospitalized. Her best friend who was as strong as wonder woman was now lying weakly in the hospital.

"Miscarriage." Kaluna Lirih.

"What?" Astri's voice humbled in disbelief at what he heard, he wished his ears were troubled and the word that came out of Kaluna's mouth was not a miscarriage but something else. Astri saw Kaluna's face, no lies or jokes at all, and Kaluna could not use a miscarriage as a joke.

"I'm sure God is preparing something good for you."

Kaluna's cries spilled, to be honest she really needed someone to give her a hug. When Astri came, Kaluna could not hold back her crying anymore.

"Rizhan cheated, Tri." Jerit Kaluna, he does not care if his voice is too tight, it feels Kaluna can no longer withstand all this. Kaluna wanted to shout loudly to take off the burden.

Astri glared, his eye seeds were like they were about to jump out of place.

"It turns out he's been in a relationship with another woman behind my back." Kaluna.

Astri's body heated up, his hands clenched behind Kaluna's back. How dare Rizhan betray Kaluna who has sacrificed so much for the marriage. Basic man, if he has everything then he will find another woman to be his lustful.

"Who is that woman?" Astri asked with a trembling voice restraining emotions.

Astri did not expect that Rizhan who was admired by employees in the office because of his loyalty to Kaluna turned out to have another woman. Rizhan is good at hiding his rottenness by always being romantic and treating Kaluna like a queen. You hypocrite, said Astri in your heart.

Kaluna did not reply, since last night she tried to remember whether she had met Eliza before.

"Where is Rizhan now?" Astri's gaze swept through the room, from earlier he did not see the nose of the man.

Kaluna looked up to see her face that was teary, it felt so heavy to tell Astri that Rizhan was currently holding a marriage contract with Eliza.

"I won't make you mean it." Astri sat on the bed and hugged Kaluna again. The most important thing right now is that Kaluna can calm down. "Tonight I'm sleeping here." He could not bear to leave Kaluna alone in the hospital. "You haven't eaten yet?"

"You should eat." Astri went to take food on a nightstand that was still wrapped in plastic.

"No laper."

"I don't care, you have to eat, let's be bribed by a virgin again." Astri scoops the rice with soup sauce and roasted beef.

"Are you a virgin?" Kanda Kaluna's.

"It's clear that the whole world knows that I won't give the crown to anyone, because no man deserves it."

Kaluna nodded in agreement, Astri had never dated before when there were many men who approached her. Just like Kaluna, Astri also lives in a broken home family so he does not believe in the sweet speech that comes out of the mouth of a crocodile named man. Now that Rizhan is cheating on her, Astri becomes convinced that there is no man she can trust.

"How dare Rizhan leave you here alone." Astri's grumbling had not finished spilling his irritation on Rizhan. If there is here Astri must have raised a fist many times to Rizhan's face, he did not care if it makes Rizhan's good looks disappear. Is it not good if Rizhan no longer has a handsome face, so he can be loyal to Kaluna.

"Rizhan married that woman."

"What! crazy you are!" Screaming Astri, the spoon in his handle fell so shocked by Kaluna's words.

"What's? Rizhan's remarried?" Another voice in front of the door made Kaluna and Astri both look in that direction.

"Father, Mama." Kaluna's mouth gaped to see Rizhan's parents were there and heard Kaluna's sentence just now.

"Kaluna." Lydia, the fifty-year-old woman who was Rizhan's mother stepped in. "What did you say just now, Rizhan got married again? how could she marry another woman, we didn't hear wrong?"

"Ma—" Kaluna confused to explain from where, she is also still sick to repeat the sentence that Rizhan cheated on her and is now married to the woman.

"How dare Rizhan marry another woman when his wife is lying sick alone, the brash child!" Aldi.

"Kaluna, why?" Lydia could not continue her sentence, she chose to pull Kaluna into her arms. As Rizhan's mother, she is very embarrassed to hear that her son is cheating. He loved Kaluna as much as his own biological child, why Rizhan could cheat after getting a wife as good as Kaluna.

"On behalf of Rizhan, we apologize for failing to educate Rizhan." Lidia kissed Kaluna's hand many times to apologize even though it would not be comparable to the pain Kaluna had to accept.

"Mama, don't be like this." Kaluna held her hand.

"Say Kaluna, where is Rizhan now?" Aldi looked at Kaluna, "Papa should teach her a lesson."

"Pa, she's taking responsibility for what she did, the woman's pregnant with Rizhan's child." Kaluna Terang.

"Pregnant?" Repeat Astri, Lydia and Aldi together.

Kaluna nodded.

Aldi's hands clenched, his face flushed with emotion. He has to beat up Rizhan right now.

"Kaluna, where they married, tell your in-laws." Urged Astri, Kaluna should not protect the man who betrayed her.

"At home."

"In your house?" Ask Astri.

Kaluna nodded back.

"No shame on them, brash." Umpat Astri, he does not care even though there are Rizhan's parents here.

"Papa go first." Aldi immediately came out of Kaluna's room.
