Janette did what Rosaline wanted. But he won't run. If he escaped, the Flint family would vent their anger on his parents. He had to stay back to live life and die with his parents.
Janette sent Hugh away. He can go anywhere as long as he doesn't live in the Nebula.
-- In the middle of the night----
They're at Nebula's subway station. Janette turned off her machine and gave Hugh a bank card, saying, "Hugh, do you remember me teaching you how to use a bank card?
