The New Road

Bivades stood looking at his 20-year-old younger self with a smile. He lifted his head up and looked at the ceiling. Suddenly he returned to the present.

From far away Bivades looked at a man in a suit of armor who was holding a sword covered in blood. It was like someone's head was lying in front of him. He suspected that the head was the victim of the slash of the armor figure. He then approached the figure.

"He is me?" Bivades' eyes widened. The head of the person he saw earlier was the head of himself. He watched his bloodied body.

"So I'm dead. Then what's this?, why am I still here?" Bivades raised his hand in line with his face and looked at it while shaking his head.

He then looked to his left. Her face froze looking at the cold gaze and blood spots on Lanara's face. He was a little surprised to think he was a man.

He then closed his eyes for a moment while gritting his teeth and clenched his fists "Damn it, die you!!!" Bivades shouted punching Lanara in the face, but his attack only pierced through her Face. He was silent for a moment and felt that whatever he did was useless.

"Bivades!!!, I'm sure you're still alive!!!"

The screams of a boy came from behind the rubble of a destroyed house.

Bivades, Dite & Lanara turned to look at the voice. From the rubble of a ruined house they saw the shadow of a boy. Bivades realizes the boy's shadow is Adelio's shadow. He shouted "Adelio save yourself, run as far as possible!!!" but the scream was useless because it did not reach Adelio's ears.

Dite stared with murderous intent towards Adelio hiding. He made a bubble in his hand and held it until it broke. The air around Dite cracked and a few seconds later disintegrated causing a shock wave that lifted the ground in front of it into the air.

A strange sound roared in Adelio's ears. He was surprised to see a huge shadow under his feet. The shadow grew darker and gave him goosebumps. He then raised his head up. He could only be speechless seeing the shadow of the ground above him . His body could not be moved even though he could not escape. The shadow of the ground approached him and hit his body.

Tears slowly flowed down Bivades face. He fell to his knees shutting his eyes tightly. His mind became restless from not being able to take good care of Adelio.

He opened his eyes and saw that his hand had already turned into a grain of light. Slowly his entire body also turned up into the air.

Dite took a deep breath and said, "Bring Maghad with you!, we're getting out of here right now. Princess Leoni did not like to wait" After saying that, Dite suddenly disappeared followed by Lanara who brought Maghad with her.

Moments later Bivades' body lying on the ground suddenly gave rise to a small bird shrouded in blue flames.

The little bird flew around in circles over the heaps of land and its magical influence made the ground shift into a crack. He then entered the gap.

In the dark the bird flew all the way to the end of the crack and found Adelio dying. His left hand and right leg were shattered and his right eye was bluish.

The little bird then grabbed Adelio's shirt tightly and carried him to the ground. Then he perched on top of Adelio's stomach and turned into a blue flame that burned his entire body. Suddenly Adelio's magically crushed hands and feet grow back.

Everything seems like a dream.

But, looking at Bivades lifeless body, he knew that it was all true.

He began to ponder, shaking his head, going eastward with no clear purpose. Adelio's mouth muttered some "Weak" murmur.

After walking far, night came. It was raining heavily on Adelio's face. He had arrived at a village he did not know his name. He continued walking nonstop through house after house with a blank look.

A villager saw Adelio. He asked the friend next to him "The boy looked strange in my eyes. Do you recognize him?"

His friend could only shake his head because he did not recognize Adelio either.

Adelio caught the attention of all the villagers who saw it. They begin to gossip saying Adelio is a lunatic who gets lost from being seen talking to himself and walking non-stop despite the rain.

"Stop!!!"

There was a screaming sound from behind Adelio, yet he remained indifferent.

Suddenly his hand was pulled by something. He turned his head back to "Hey who are you?"

He saw the old man with long hair standing in front of him and tightly grasping his hands.

The old man did not respond, he continued to walk carrying Adelio up into a small hut by the river.

Adelio glared at the old man and pulled his forcefully grasped hand. He asked, "Hey, who are you? why did you bring me here?"

The old man turned to look at Adelio cynically. That gaze made Adelio's heart flutter, her body let out cold sweat, and tremble.

In his head, he thought "Am I going to die?"

The thought continued to haunt him, and made him faint unconscious.
