The match was started which was marked by the referee who did the jump ball.
Starting Five from my club there is Kak Jeff as point guard, Kak Arthur as center, and Kak Theo as shooting guard. In the power forward and small forward position filled by two players from my campus as well.
From my place, I saw Jacob who was on the bench along with his other friends. I didn't expect it to turn out that the core players of the boys' team were all from my college.
The first three minutes of the game were very exciting and tense because the points between my club and the opponents were chasing each other continuously.
Now my eyes can not be separated from Brother Jeff whose game looks very good and cool to me. As a point guard, I think he's very smart.
Brother Jeff can bring his team play with a relaxed look but still continue to add points slowly. Several times Jeff seemed to do lay-ups that were not done with ordinary movements, but had to pass several enemies first to get the point.
It did not feel that the first quarter finished with the score while my club was 22 and against 18 which means my club position is leading four points.
When entering the second quarter, there is a change of players. Now Jacob enters the field along with other friends who replace the starting five players as a whole.
Jacob replaced Jeff as the point guard. The second quarter game begins.
Jacob looks no less cool to replace the position of Jeff. When he was just a few minutes of play, Jacob had enough points.
But after a few minutes of play, the tempo of Jacob's game did not look like it was in the early minutes. Several times now Jacob like wrong install attack strategy so that the opponent is easy to read Jacob's movements.
After my club became three points behind, Jeff and his friends who had played at the beginning re-entered the field.
When entering the field, Jeff looks like he is emotional and several times the direction of his gaze continues to look towards the scoreboard.
“Wahh, Jeff seems to be starting to sprain. His junior players can't take him in a good direction. Our score is lagging.” Chirps Yola.
All the female players who sat on the edge of the field nodded in agreement with Yola's words with a view that remained focused on seeing the game on the field.
Now Jeff and his friends managed to make the position to be balanced. The look on Jeff's face looks not as stiff and sad when it entered the field after the position can now be balanced.
Jeff continued to put out many good performances to get points. Without me noticing, I kept praising her game in my mind.
...--------...
After passing a fairly tight match between the two, finally the last score of this match is 65-60. Where's my club that won the sparing this time.
From my place, I saw the look on the face of Brother Jeff looks happy and more cheerful than when he was competing.
“Yukk, their samperin. Before we are told to warm up.” Take Yola to all of us.
I followed my other friends and approached them. At first I felt awkward not knowing what to do. I ended up just following my friends tos and congratulating them all.
When going to congratulate Brother Jeff there was a little doubt in my mind, but I finally decided to keep him safe.
“Congrats Brother. The game is good,” I said.
“Thanks. Spirit of trepidation again.” He said with his hand out.
I hesitated to see the clutch of his hand, but I finally responded quickly.
“Still Brother,” reply.
“Let's go home with me.” He said that made me instantly widen my eyes.
“Eh no need Brother. I made a deal with Jacob.” Replied refused.
“Later I wait.” He said he then left me to approach Brother Arthur and Brother Theo.
“Jaccc, congrats yes.” I said as I approached Claire.
“Hehehee thank you. For the first time, I'd like someone I know to support gini.” He said while suddenly embracing my shoulder.
“Hehehehe yes-iyaa.”
“Eh I want to get ready first.” My pamphlet to Jacob.
“Okee. Yes spirit. You guys have to win too,” he said.
When I turned around and wanted to approach my other friends, I saw Brother Jeff along with Brother Theo and Brother Arthur looking at me.
When I looked towards them, they immediately turned their gazes away from me.
Choosing not to think about it, I immediately followed my friends who led out of the field.
...--------...
Jeffersonian:
“It looks like Claire is the same Jacob is pretty deket deh if I see.” Arthur said as the three of us looked towards Jacob and Claire who were chatting together.
I don't know why, I really don't like Claire being close to Jacob. Even my sense of dislike is more than when I see Claire walking with Kelvin.
“Tuh son is too plain,” I said.
“It looks like you're really Jeff. You try to tell Claire, before she does anything with Jacob,” Theo said.
“All Arthur aja,” reply.
“Why don't you. He ‘kan often recite if you are talking.” Reject Arthur, who made me think how I could tell him he was still angry with me.
“Lu ‘kan more decks. He's more connected to chat with lu.” My reply then left them.
...--------...
This is the first time I've been back at a basketball game, even if it's just basketball.
Since college, I have never played basketball again. Quite happy I was able to get a feel for the game back on the basketball court.
“Claire, you directly try yes log in at starting five.” Bang Ben said as he approached me.
“Really Bang? I play later first gapapa kok.” I said I felt bad about my other friends.
“This is a command yes Claire. I want to see you play at the beginning.” Bang Ben said with a serious tone.
“Eh okee Bang.” I finally said.
My friends immediately encouraged me after knowing this. I am very happy to have friends who can always provide this kind of support even though fellow players.
Now I enter the field with my friends who play in the starting five. As I usually play, at this club I re-occupy the position of shooting guard.
While on the field, I had time to look at the team of men who were sitting watching our game. As I circled my gaze there, Jacob and Brother Arthur seemed to encourage me from their seats.
At first glance I looked at Brother Jeff who with his cool look, he just fell silent and looked at me. I smiled faintly at Brother Arthur and Jacob who were encouraging me.
