Arif smiled while Novia was silent with an unfriendly look on her face. The woman's eyes flashed sharply, the corner of her lips that had a fiery red streak rose slightly, making a cynical conclusion.
“Larisa takes care of Bassta well,” said Arif, so happy to see the togetherness of Bassta and Larisa who are enjoying their dinner together.
“They just pretend,” reply Novia sure.
Arif looked over, staring irritatedly.
“Enough, Novia. What's the matter, you know? Instead of happy children get a good wife like Larisa, even keep nagging unclear!” hardiknya and Novia stared emotionlessly, diimpali would be of no use, so she chose to turn the body and then waltzed away from next to her husband.
Before long Arif followed with a clenched hand. He did not understand why his wife did not like Larisa so much. What's the woman's fault?
“Mama with Papa already gone?” bassta asked in the kitchen, Larisa across from him gave a small nod.
Bassta let out a sigh of relief, straightening her back which had been so tense ever since. She stopped enjoying Larisa's homemade food and Larisa was glued to her eyes.
“Why? Food not good?” ask Larisa.
Bassta shook her head small. “I don't like your homemade food.”
Larisa laughed stifledly.
“Masa? But you've cooked me quite a lot. If you like it is okay, I even like, kok.” Larisa spoke so cheerfully and Bassta gave a whimper.
“Where do you have such confidence, Ris?” ledek Bassta in a quiet voice and Larisa did not override him.
After Larisa is done with her dinner. He cleared the table, as Larisa got up and turned around, Bassta scooped up her remaining food. Seeing the shadow from the glass cabinet in front of him made Larisa suddenly turn around and Bassta was silent with her mouth full. His eyebrows were up and down, as if questioning with a strange smile that Larisa made.
Larisa shook her head, turned back and chuckled softly.
“I know my cooking is delicious. Nyesel, are you sok-sok nolak?” larisa muttered inwardly, she is very happy tonight.
When they finished, they left the kitchen. And arriving at Bassta's room, the two glanced at each other in confusion. Can't they both sleep one more bed?
“You slept in your room there,” drive Bassta sewot and Larisa shakes her head tight.
“Could be your Mama midnight prank. Mastiin we sleep in the room or not,” said Larisa and Bassta pensive for a moment, right too.
“Yes you have slept on the floor.” His hand pointed at the ground. Larisa shook her head, not willing.
“I'm pregnant, Bass. Tega you?” Larisa held her stomach, unexpectedly the baby kicked and made Larisa smile widely with both eyes sparkling. Bassta was shocked to see the expression on his wife's face.
“Why?” ask Bassta curiously.
“The baby kicked.” Larisa smiled and Bassta was silent. “Maybe my baby is happy because we slept in the room.” Larisa hooks up and Bassta shakes her head.
Larisa paled, holding her head.
“Don't take him as an excuse. You're the cool one,” said Bassta and Larisa gave a small smile.
Bassta lay down on the bed, Larisa sitting on the edge of the bed while hugging her knees. Bassta silently glanced and saw Larisa pensively thinking of what.
“Do not make any more debates. Sleep!” Bassta's orders, she tilted her body to the left, turning her back to Larisa who was now staring at her back.
“I can't sleep on the floor. Your AC is very cold,” complained Larisa while tightening the embrace on her knee.
Bassta blinked her eyes for a moment and then turned her body.
“Continue? Don't be weird, I don't want to sleep in bed with you.” Bassta was so sewed and threw a pillow at Larisa.
Tok.
Suddenly the sound of knocking on the door made the two flinch, staring at each other tensely.
“Do not-don't Mama you,” said Larisa.
Bassta jumped off the bed and stepped closer to the door.
“Who?” bassta asked with her ears she also attached to the door of her room.
“This Mama!” reply Novia from outside.
Bassta immediately looked at Larisa. Larisa rubs her hair and both are drunk.
“Open, Bass!” exclaim Novia hard.
“Bass—“ Larisa screeched as Bassta pulled her hand.
“Sketan wake up,” whispered Bassta while glaring.
“Ya slow. I'm, right, pregnant again.” Larisa pouted and Bassta snorted.
“Basic melt!” maki Bassta was irritated then carried Larisa, moving the woman onto the bed.
Larisa was astonished to see the reaction of Bassta who was so panicked by the arrival of Novia.
“You pretended to be asleep,” Bassta and Larisa nodded.
Larisa breaks down, Bassta pulls the blanket, covers her body then Larisa tilts her body.
“Bass!” novia is back, impatient.
Bassta rubbed her face rough, she opened the lock, the door opened and showed the look of Novia's face.
“For so long you, again what?” novia protests.
Bassta is silent, confused to answer what Novia then pulls her hand because she wants to look into the room. Novia was glued when she saw Larisa's figure on her son's bed. What Vivian was complaining about was very different from what she was seeing now.
“Larisa has gone to sleep,” says Bassta.
Novia.
“Mama just want to drink water for you,” said Novia reasoned, actually she wanted to make sure Vivian complaint only.
Bassta smiled, received a bottle of water from her mother's hand and thanked her.
Novia was silent, her eyes kept staring at Larisa's back who was listening to Bassta's conversation with her mother-in-law.
“Udah, yes, Ma. I sleepy to sleep,” Bassta said and Novia nodded clumsily.
The door was also tightly closed. Novia stepped away while occasionally looking at the door of the room. Although he clearly saw Larisa in Bassta's room, still he could not believe that Bassta was really persimmon with her sister's child.
Novia felt the need to ask Asih tomorrow. He will urge Asih to be honest about Bassta's daily life with Larisa during the household. Novia was still curious, whether she was trying to separate the two so she did not want to have a daughter-in-law like Larisa and mess with Fitria.
