CHAPTER 13

Jeffrey who had finished eating his food immediately rushed to prepare and headed to the office, upon arrival at the office he greeted the workers kindly and entered his room.

Before long Jeffrey entered the room, heard someone knocking on the door.

TOK TOK TOK 

"Yes, come in!" He said in a slightly screaming voice.

Adriana immediately pushed her door open, when she saw Adriana who entered Jeffrey immediately rose from her seat and looked at Adriana.

"Miss.. Can I help you?" Ask Jeffrey politely.

Adriana just smiled at a glance,

"Yes, tonight's gonna be a party for Tyler's family. And our company is invited, I want to attend but have no friends. Are you willing to accompany me?" Adriana said at length to Jeffrey.

Jeffrey was momentarily silent, hearing the word 'Keluaga Tyler' which meant that while he was attending his would meet his father.

"Jeffrey..? Can't you?" Adriana asked doubtfully when she saw Jeffrey's suddenly changed expression.

Jeffrey awakens from his daydream and then says, "O-oh no, Yes I'm ready Miss"

"Sip! Don't forget at 7 I'll pick you up okay?" Adriana said as she blinked her eyes and left Jeffrey's room.

Jeffrey again sat his body down, he pulled out his phone and stared at his photo with someone, "If I were to appear before the Tyler Family maybe they would think I was you. Why are you so stubborn? I've advised you a lot but you don't want to hear, our mother's departure was an accident, but you've always felt very guilty. I didn't take away your rights either and I'm getting myself used to being as simple as I am today"

Jeffrey exhaled slowly and then put his phone back in his pocket.

As the day went on, while Jeffrey was waiting for his order taxi, he was startled by the horn of someone's car

"Jeffrey!" Shouts of a woman

Jeffrey looked at the car, and it was Adriana.

"Miss? Relax, I have not forgotten what Miss said" Jeffrey told Adriana.

Adriana patted him on the forehead then she turned off her car engine and came out, "Astga is stupid. I don't mean to remind you, but do you need a ride? It's getting late and I see you've been waiting here a long time" said Adriana, looking back and forth.

Aware of Adriana's words, Jeffrey agreed, "Alright, Thank you Miss"

"Jeez, I haven't taken you yet to say thank you." Pekik Adriana then get into his car and followed by Jeffrey.

Jeffrey gives the address of his apartment to Adriana who actually Adriana already knows because it was told by Deep.

During the trip there was only silence between them filled by the music audio in Adriana's car which she deliberately turned on to overcome awkwardness.

Adriana's car is parked in front of the apartment Jeffrey lives in.

Jeffrey got out of the car, Adriana opened her window and smiled at Jeffrey, "Don't forget tonight, I'm picking you up drugs" he said, waving his hand, Jeffrey who was about to reply to Adriana's words but he first left her just a brief smile and entered her apartment.

"Jeffrey" Deep, who was sitting down, called out to her, who was about to enter her room.

"Yes, Pa?" Ask Jeffrey.

"Said your friend your lover is here. Why don't you let her with papa?"

Deep glanced at his son who changed his expression when he got a question from her and smiled faintly, "Say, don't you intend to introduce me to papa?"

"Ti-not so... Just not a good time for that" Elak Jeffrey then stepped inside his room leaving Deep.

"You look like whatever you're covering up, but I'm your father and know everything just look at the glare of your eyes" Deep muttered then sat back down on the couch and read the newspaper.

At 6.35 p.m 

Deep decides to leave without telling Jeffrey, and he heads straight to Damon's birthday party, his old best friend.

On the other hand Adriana is ready and looks beautiful with her black dress.

"Mama's boy looks so pretty, do you want to date Mm?" Said Delvina who was sitting in the living room with Melvin, Her husband.

Adriana who got the temptation from her mother immediately blushed, she sat beside Delvina and hugged her, "Apasih Ma, Ana people just attended the party anyway" said Adriana.

"Just like, there you go. The show's at 7, isn't it? Ma don't keep teasing her like that, just look at her cheeks like a boiled crab" Now Melvin, her father who teased her.

Adriana grunts, "Huh! You guys are the same ah! Already Ana left first" he said in an annoyed tone that immediately left his parents.

In the car, Adriana was a little agitated. Every now and then she checks her makeup, "Did I look pretty? Why be nervous ah! Though I was with Jeffrey just going out to party instead of dating, but it felt like I wanted to go on a date" he murmured and then drove to Jeffrey's apartment.

Upon arrival at Jeffrey's apartment, he got down the car and pressed the bell several times.

About a few minutes Jeffrey came out with a Navy suit that was very fitting for his posture. Adriana was stunned, at that moment she was just looking through the vidcall. But now directly it really makes the heart beat 2x faster.

"Sorry Miss made a long wait, I had a bit of a headache" he said, looking closely at Adriana, whether she had anything to do with him but seeing a very different Adriana made his heart beat faster.

"uh, no problem no matter not too long anyway, come on. But you're the one with the car, can you?" Jeffrey nodded, he received the car keys given by Adriana.

Arriving at the Tyler Family Home 

As the car darted into Tyler's vast yard, Jeffrey parked his car and saw around a lot of people arriving who were sure to be important people to Tyler.

Adriana and Jeffrey go inside together, unknowingly Jeffrey sees a woman who is very familiar to him but unfortunately he can not immediately see his face because it backs him.

Jeffrey can see his father sitting next to Mr. Damon who was chatting together, Jeffrey a little away so that the Tyler family no one recognizes him clearly.

The event begins when the MC starts reading out the sequence of events.

Seeing that, Jeffrey seemed to be in disbelief. He patted her on the cheek and looking over the podium was Carla.

"Wall she? Her... She's..." He said as he continued to look at Carla from a distance.

"True, Theo Tyler my son is getting married to Carla Mahardika"
