That afternoon, rain drenched the city. Two people were busy chatting in the room laughing cheerfully. Spend time playing snake ladder.
"Well, fuck keep me this." Adji clucked in annoyance.
He slowly threw the dice on the mattress and then lay down.
"Daddy, that's it. Not punished yet" Maya said.
Adji turned his head, looked at the wife who was busy cleaning toys and put them in plastic. Then he stepped onto his desk, storing it in a drawer.
"What do you want to punish me for?" Ask Adji.
"I'm hungry, can you make boiled noodles?" Maya walked over to her husband.
Adji got up and sat down. "Eum can do it. Seriously you want me to make boiled noodles?"
Maya nodded quickly.
"Okey, but there's a condition." Adji glancing naughty.
"Why are you the one giving the conditions? Yeah, what?"
Adji then pointed to the left right cheek, nose, forehead and lips. Then he closed his eyes.
Maya snorts softly. Then bring her face closer to her husband. Peeping the part of the face that was appointed by Adji.
"Udah," said Maya finished what her husband had told her to do.
"No taste," adjourned Adji with a faint smile.
Maya only blushed in embarrassment, her face flushed red as Adji brought her face closer to her.
Cup.
The kiss landed back on his thin lips, Adji pulverized it slowly. They clenched for a moment until the roar of breath sounded heavy. Maya pushes her husband's chest softly, then Adji takes off his kiss slowly.
"Why?" adji asked with a disappointed face.
"It's okay. I remember there was something I wanted to tell you, for a second." Maya shuffles from her bed.
He walked up to the desk, grabbed the bag lying on the table, picked up an envelope Sean had given him that he still kept well. Wedding present. Voucer honeymoon vacation.
Adji frowned at the envelope the wife was carrying. "What's that?" tanyakanya.
Maya gives the envelope to her husband. Adji opened it slowly. Read it carefully.
"From who?" ask Adji to investigate.
"Eum, Mas Denis," Maya answered lying.
"Don't lie!" Adji seemed to know something was being hidden by his wife.
Maya hesitates to tell the truth. If the holiday voucher was given Sean some time ago before the wedding took place. Because he was afraid that Adji would definitely reject him.
Adji looked closely at his wife who looked down anxiously. "Honest answer, who is this from?"
"But don't you get angry?"
"You haven't told me the truth yet. How can I be angry."
"Later if I answer, you're angry."
"If you lie, I'll be angry."
"Actually, this is from-your sister," said Maya lirih. He hid his face with a look. Afraid to see her husband's reaction.
Adji snorted annoyed. Then he got up from his seat walking towards the window. Staring out looking at the sky that was getting brighter because the rain had subsided.
"You want a vacation?" ask Adji.
"Don...."
"Later if I have sustenance, I will take you for a walk. But not for now. I want you to give it back to Sean's brother."
"Why, Dji? Not delicious. Have you given me time to return?"
"He's not sincere, May."
"Where did he come from? You don't believe in your own brother. Learn to appreciate people's gifts."
Adji turned to his wife. "And you learned to obey your husband."
He then stepped towards the door to exit the room. Maya pursues and pulls her husband's hand.
"I'm sorry, if my words are wrong" Maya said.
"I'm not like this because I don't appreciate the gift. I feel like I have no self-respect if I receive this gift. Your family's at stake, May. He wants your papa company. With us accepting that, what's the difference with bribe money?"
"Sorry."
"If you want to go to Bali, I can take you today. Without staying but."
"You're serious, Dji?" ask Maya with sparkling eyes.
Adji nodded steadily, Maya then pampered on her husband's arm.
"What did you buy tickets for?" ask Maya to make sure.
"No need, later if you want to walk."
"Gapain, just take KRL."
"KRL?" Maya frowned looking in surprise at Adji who was seen holding back a laugh.
"Where is bali? Denpasar Bali right?"
"Did I say Denpasar Bali?"
"Where is Bali?" Maya is increasingly curious about Bali which her husband means.
"Balimester Jatinegara. Hihih." Adji steps out of the room quickly aka blur before Maya fingers play on her waist.
"Adjiiii!" maya shouted annoyed.

The next day the Maya family gathers in the living room. Hardi invited his children to gather because there was something he wanted to convey.
"Dji, Papa, come on Maya. Denis, Papa tipped your brother Sherli. This past two weeks Papa's been in Kuala Lumpur. Papa's new project is pervading there. Pray for it to go well." Hardi opened up about the work he was going to do.
"Pa, I'm going to take Maya home" Adji said with a sharp glance at his wife.
"Owh, can. You seriously don't want to join papa's company?" ask Hardi to make sure.
Adji just shook his head. He didn't want to take advantage of anything from his wife's family. Especially some time ago Denis came to him to ask him to leave the house.
"Yes, Papa's leaving. Flight's nine this morning." Hardi got up from his seat.
"Not breakfast yet, Pah?" ask Maya.
"Still half six. Later Papa breakfast on the road. Afraid late."
Hardi said goodbye to his children. Then Papa left for the airport in between by a private driver.
Denis glanced at his sister-in-law, then walked up the stairs back to his room as well as Sherli.
"Dji, are we staying at your house?" tanya Maya stared intensely at the husband.
"Why? You don't want to?"
"No, what's the matter here?"
"I work far away, May."
"You still want to start?"
"You why? Don't like my job? Embarrassed?"
"Bu-not that I mean, why don't you just accept Papa's offer. So you don't have to be tired of eating used bottles anymore."
"May, my work is now in the workshop, if the workshop is off I'm behind the mouth. You know what I did before. Or you're not really in love with me. Because I wish I would accept your papa's invitation to join his company."
"No, I'm not. I-I-I love you the same."
"Yes, you must obey me. We'll start living from zero. I also asked you to resign from the office."
"But, Dji. Do you want to let your brother go there? What if he suddenly took over? No one's watching."
"Say you're not ready to live as hard as me." Adji got up from his seat stepping towards the stairs towards Maya's room.
Maya is silent, honestly she is not ready to start everything from scratch. More so than what he has right now. He also did not think that Adji would behave like that. He thought that Adji who used to be married just plain will be the same after marriage, but instead he had planned everything.
What about her friends later, colleagues, family, what they say if they find out her life is difficult, living in a small house with a life just rested from her husband's income as a mechanic and scavenger. Life is just for eating. How about the treatment of his face and body later. If he does not work, he will never be able to indulge.
Maya ruffled her hair, taking a slow breath. Prepare for his new life. Where what she will live later all on her husband's permission. Not acting on his own will as he once did.

That night when Maya is out with Sherli to buy fried rice down the street. Denia approached her sister-in-law who was sitting alone on the porch of the house waiting for her wife to come home.
"Dji, I want to talk," he said, taking a seat next to Adji.
"Yes, Mum."
"When do you want to be here?" denis asked suddenly, and it made Adji's heart feel like it was pierced by a thousand-grain tacks, sore and sick.
He was silent withstanding anger. But try to stay calm. Just two days living there, Denis has revealed his identity. From the beginning, her brother-in-law never agreed to marry her.
"What do you mean Denis?" ask Adji for pleasantries.
Denis exhaled a rough breath.
"Don't want to buy that house? Well at least ngontraklah, time hitchhiking with in-laws." Denis raises his right leg to his left.
"I have a home, Mom. Just chill. Tomorrow I'll have Maya stay at my house. Although small, the important thing is the house itself," said Adji confidently.
"Good, I just want to ingetin loe aja, do not make my sister suffer, from small she never difficult. What he wants is always the same thing."
"Please, Mas. I know what I have to do to make my wife happy."
"Good indeed. Until whenever I will not be willing if until my sister why-why because of marriage equally loe!" Denis got up from his seat and went inside.
Adji took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly. He closed his eyes for a moment. Trying to rearrange his heart. At the age of twenty, he had to think about the life of his family. Indeed, life is a choice. The choice to avoid all acts that may be prohibited by religion by marrying young.
He will be determined to work harder and harder, to make his wife and child happy. He does not want to be regarded as a failed and irresponsible man.
Adji stared at his black bag that already contained some of the clothes he had brought from home to his in-laws' house. The clothes he would bring back with his wife. Given Denis' words, he can't wait to get out of the house quickly.
