"It's been three days since I gave you the order, finding only one person you can't?" Lionel's voice boomed.
In front of his desk had lined up Dyos, Fabian and his two knight bodyguards.
"Dyo!"
"Yes Your Majesty." Dyos replied firmly.
"Aren't you the most famous witch in Zagc, but why are you disappointing me now?"
Not like Dyos usually. She is the most genius witch in Zagc. His abilities are unmatched. But it's been three days and Dyos hasn't delivered any results.
"I will explain why Your Majesty."
"no need. You guys have one day. If that woman isn't brought before me tomorrow, get your neck ready instead."
Everyone paled. They were expelled from Lionel's office mercilessly. Remaining Fabian who seems to have things to say.
"Say." Lionel relaxed his body onto the back of the chair.
"After bribing some servants I got a little information Your Majesty.
Lionel nodded.
"There are some names that are most likely the woman you are looking for."
Lionel narrowed his eyes.
A paper was stretched out before him. Two names were written boldly.
Lady Serena of Marquis Whitefox.
Lady Yanneta of Count Rainhart.
"According to them during the party, these two girls were not seen after the dance began. There were even some who saw them walking out the back door into the garden."
Lionel read the two names carefully. One is familiar and one is not. Marquis Whitefox is a loyal follower of Duke Soveil. He has met Lady Whitefox several times.
As for Rainhart, she had only heard of it for the first time.
"Count Rainhart?" Mumbled Lionel.
"Count Rainhart was a merchant of His Majesty. Looks like they just moved to the Capital late last year. Count Rainhart often traveled abroad. Maybe it's because of the new royals so you've never heard of it."
Lionel nodded back.
"Examine them both. If you need to bribe some of their servants."
"Your Majesty."
The office was quiet again. And Lionel doesn't like it. Once calm and closed his eyes, his ears would surely hear the whisper again and the warm embrace he had never felt.
Lionel's body was boiling. He needs to find the woman. There were many reasons in his head that were complicated. It is not easy to describe one by one.
Secret curse. Touchnay. Her voice. Everything that happened that night. He remembered except his face.
"Arggghhhh! Shit!" Lionel banged on the table.
*
"How is this.."
Yanneta stared at the little dagger lying on the table. Hell's dagger, that's the name of the dagger. A special dagger used by Lionel Soveil to carry the antidote. In short it was a trick to hide it.
But that thing is on him now.
That night was fucked up. Until he realized it was on him.
That means Lionel must be looking for him. Only Soveil's loyal servant knows what it is. The loss of that thing must be a big thing. Yanneta must have been suspected of knowing about Hell's curse.
It had been three days since it was in his hands. His brain was not running so he locked himself in the house and did nothing.
It was only a matter of time until he was discovered by the people of Soveil. Got dragged and I don't know what's going to happen. Given Lionel Soveil's terms, he obviously wouldn't be okay if he was taken into account.
"Marta.." Janet called to Marta who was standing not far from her.
"Please give your orders, miss."
"I want to ask for your opinion."
"Silahlan miss." Martha approached a few steps.
"If you find an item that doesn't belong to you, then you know who the owner is, what will you do?" Yanneta hesitating.
"I'll give you back, miss. I could be considered a steal if I just keep quiet."
Marta's right.
Yanneta nodded in agreement. Makes sense. If he is considered and cannot defend himself he will be a thief in the eyes of Lionel.
"Then help me get ready. Tell the coachman that I'm going out now."
"Well miss."
"Let's come to the lion's den and make peace. Explain as best you can and then end it. He is not an irrational person. At least he'll apologize for helping her." Yanneta murmured in the heart.
Silence is not an option. He'll return Hell's dagger. End the relationship well.
"To the Soviel mansion."
"I found Duke's belongings at the Crown Prince's birthday party, so I intend to return them. It seems like it's an important item." Obviously Yanneta before Marta misunderstood him.
Not a true necessity. But he still cannot be misunderstood.
Marta interrupted with a small smile.
A few minutes later the horse carriage arrived in front of the gate of Duke Soveil's mansion.
"Marta just wait on the train. I won't be long."
Janet prevented Marta from following him.
"But miss..." Marta interrupted.
"It's okay, I'll be right back. So wait here."
Yanneta assures Marta that everything is fine even though her heartbeat is pounding.
He wants to reduce the worst risks that will happen. Coming here is like surrendering yourself to the angel of death. Soveil Dukedom is famous for its ferocity. The mansion with many knights and its leader was a blood-crazed swordmaster. Wars, massacres and more.
Then who would not be horrified to see only the arrogance of the biggest mansion in this Zagc Empire.
Yanneta calmed herself down then pushed the big gate. It seemed to be made of high-quality iron, the gate was heavy as well as sturdy.
"I'm Yanneta from Count Rainhart asking permission to meet Duke Soveil." Yanneta said to one of the guards.
They nodded then escorted Yanneta in.
He was welcomed in a super large and luxurious living room. He was already amazed by the living room in the Rainhart mansion, now he was agape with the living room that belonged to Soveil.
Compared to the earth and sky.
"Good day, miss, I'm Fabian Duke Soveil's personal servant."
The eyes of Yanneta who was exploring the mansion's furniture were interrupted by a voice that came suddenly.
"Ah, I am Yanneta from Count Rainhart."
Fabian bowed to greet.
"Your Majesty the Duke has received your permission and is currently waiting for you in his study."
"Wait a minute, did Your Majesty not ask?"
"No miss." Answer Fabian briefly.
Yanneta nodded then followed Fabian.
Lionel sat on the sofa in a relaxed position as the door opened.
"I brought Miss Rainhart in Your Majesty." Fabian announced.
"Come in." His voice is deep enough.
The air in the room seemed to be sucked. Lionel's gaze locked onto Yanneta.
"Include me Your Majesty Yanneta Rainhart."
Lionel nodded while loosening his tie.
"Are you going to stand there?" Indirect question which means please sit down.
Yanneta hesitated finally sitting across from Lionel.
"*Crazy!" Yanneta cried in her heart.
"This guy is better looking at a closer look." * next*.
Yanneta wet her tense lips. Trying to control the breath and control yourself. His feet were trembling with fear.
Lionel's features that night and today are different. Today he is like a predator waiting for his prey. Somehow Yanneta shuddered in horror.
"Sorry to interrupt your precious time." Yanneta.
Lionel did not answer.
"There's something I'd like to return to you."
Lionel's forehead is wrinkled.
Janet's hand opened the silk pouch and then placed Hell's dagger on the table.
Yanneta noticed Lionel's reaction. As per the predictions of the man was not surprised. Instead, her lips lifted up, smiling.
Janet's heart sank. He already knows. The man already knew he was carrying Hell's dagger. He must be waiting for the right time to catch him.
Before everything becomes chaos, Yanneta needs to explain everything.
"I will explain Your Majesty. I'm afraid you misunderstood." Yanneta clasped her trembling hand.
"Lady Rainhart's. You're late, I've misunderstood."
Sips.
The surprised voice of Yanneta broke the silence.
Seriate...
