"Your Majesty can explain."
"alright. At least your explanation needs to be heard."
Yanneta swallowed her saliva. It's difficult.
"I found this thing when I accidentally passed through the park."
Lies. Yanneta is too afraid to be honest. The courage that was nurtured on the way here was lost in the wind. Under Lionel's bullying gaze, his firmness was torn apart.
"There's Duke Soveil's coat of arms on the handle of this dagger, so I'm concluding that it's yours Your Majesty."
"Well.." The sigh of Janet in the heart.
"Lady.'s.." His voice was deep and deep.
Sontak Yanneta straightened her back.
"No need to lie." Said Lionel briefly with a mysterious smile.
Jamb.
Yanneta was stabbed by a knife on target. This guy knows who he is.
"So Your Majesty remembers?" Ask Yanneta at a glance.
Lionel nodded.
"Oh my goodness! I was in vain to make up a story."
Lionel's eyes were perfectly rounded. Yanneta's reaction was not what she had imagined. Usually people will shrink and be afraid when dealing directly with him. Generally the women. Although they were always crowded around him, they did not dare to look directly at him.
"Okay, Your Majesty, that night it was true I was the one who found you in pain. So my story was a book. I found this in the pocket of the clothes you were wearing. It seems there is medicine in it. That night you were immediately taken away by the knights so this thing was left on me."
Lionel remained silent.
"I didn't steal it. So please don't misunderstand."
"Where do you know that?"
"Yes?"
"This dagger is in my pocket."
"Wait for Your Majesty, can you be polite to me? We don't know each other so please use some manners."
Not scared. Attractively. But Yanneta was cowering in fear when she first met. Once he found his composure, Lionel looked like a man in general.
Lionel jerking. Just this time someone demanded courtesy to her. He almost choked.
"So Your Majesty I intend well to return this thing."
"How far do you know?"
Yanneta smile. It's easy to handle it. Maybe he was afraid his weakness would be discovered.
"How far do you want it?"
Lionel frowned then replied.
"As much as you know."
"I don't know that much."
Lies. He knows a lot. The scene in the novel Red Rose Tragedy is still very clear in Yanneta's head. Although there were some parts that he had forgotten. During the story there was Lionel, Yanneta read over and over again. Lionel Soveil is his favorite.
"I knew you were sick at the time. But I don't know what pain you're in. I'm just trying to help."
Sejanak pause.
"You're trying to grab a pocket in the clothes you're wearing, so I'm trying to help you. When I reached into it, there was this thing." Janet pointed at Hell's dagger with her youth, like there was no secret in it.
"When I picked it up, it fell and something came out of here." Yanneta again pointed at Hell's dagger. More precisely the end of the handle.
"That's what I know Your Majesty."
Yanneta ended it with a smile and muttered, trust me.
"What if I don't believe it?"
"I don't care if you believe it or not."
"Lady you're very confident."
"Your Majesty, don't you thank me for helping you? That night you were in so much pain, if it wasn't for me you could have died."
"Madam is also very brave."
Yanneta's eyes blinked. He just didn't want Lionel to suspect him. Not considered confident and very brave. He came here to return Hell's dagger from being misunderstood. He can't possibly tell me everything, for example, I come from another world and I know about your curse. He might be considered crazy.
Yanneta secretly cursed, please just accept this lie and end our meeting. We won't meet again anyway.
"You're trying to escape?" Seloroh Lionel's.
"Yes? What do you mean?"
"You have to take responsibility."
"Responsible?"
"Yes." Yeah." Answer Lionel briefly.
Yanneta's eyes were perfectly rounded.
"You know what no one else should know."
"Of course I know. I just pretended not to know. What do you mean by responsibility?"
Hell's curse is top secret. If it leaks just a little bit, that person will be executed on the spot. How Yanneta could forget the rules in the novel that horrified her. So he's here pretending he doesn't know anything. Yanneta still wants to live.
"About your pain?" Tanya Yanneta plain.
Outside he could be fine. But in his heart it had long since collapsed. How could it calm down face off against the leader of the blood-crazed imperial army.
"If that's what you're worried about, I promise I'll keep my mouth shut. I am the one who kept His Majesty's promise, on behalf of Rainhart and my pride. I also don't like gossip or the social world. So I assume that night I didn't see anything." Yanneta's voice shook at the end.
"I promise!" John raised his right hand in the form of his vow.
Lionel giggling.
Yanneta did not look wrong, the man chuckled. Yanneta was speechless staring at the subtle changes to Lionel. As he remembered, it was only Lionel showing Rose Attlier.
"So Your Majesty..."
"Lady.'s.." Lionel precedes.
"Usually people who know my illness they will not return alive."
Uh. Yanneta realized, that was just the real Lionel Soveil. Cold, hard and merciless. Throwing a murder threat is more suitable than that little smile. Yanneta is a fool. Maybe he was laughing at her instead of smiling in the real sense.
Duke Soveil's family usually calls it a disease rather than a curse. Only in urgent circumstances. If the curse is forced to leak to the public.
"So you mean I should die knowing your illness?"
Lionel nodded with an expressionless face. Despite looking sadistic, he's super handsome. The evil face did not diminish his good looks in the slightest.
Janet screamed in her heart.
"If you know you're going to die today I regret not telling everyone in the Zagc Empire if Duke Soveil suffers from a strange disease."
Yanneta's angry. And scared.
Lionel was stunned, almost his armrest on the sofa collapsed. He never had a fight like this. He just wanted to scare this little lady and find out if she knew the curse or not.
I don't think the longer it gets more interesting. Like a peacock, this woman kept her beautiful tail up to fight him. Not at all fearless.
"You are very, very brave." At last those words that came out of his mouth were so shocked.
"I am brave." Yanneta's voice was rising.
"I meant well to come here to return what you left behind. I'm afraid I'll be misunderstood. But what do I get? Not thanks but the murder threat I got. I think even animals have gratitude, but you don't." Janet rose from her seat.
"There is no need to thank Your Majesty, Duke Soveil, I will not accept your gratitude. I hope we won't see each other again in the future. May your life be healthy. Excuse me."
Without saluting Yanneta turned around and immediately left Lionel's office. Not looking the same though. His steps rushed towards the loyal horse carriage waiting for him.
"You've returned, miss." Marta helps Yanneta get on the train.
"We'd better get out of this place soon."
"Well miss."
*
"You call me Your Majesty?" Fabian's voice interrupted Lionel's daydream.
The sky was getting red and the sun was almost sinking. His eyes looked far away. A horse carriage that was galloping like it wanted to disappear.
Lionel did not reply until the train was no longer visible.
"There's something you need to investigate." Tell Lionel.
"Please give your orders Your Majesty." Fabian took a few steps forward.
"Yanneta Rainhart, find out all about her. Tomorrow morning I hope it's all on my desk."
"Your Majesty."
Seriate...
