Loving the Arogant Army
1.Corona Virus Changed Everything!

Dhezia Anastasia (Dhezia) Pov~

For some time almost all parts of the world were in chaos, we were all affected by the deadly Virus created in the Wuhan region, China. The government shut down almost every street, including in Los Angeles, California. Also in some cities in Indonesia.

My hometown is also reportedly the same, My mother called to tell me that the Holy City which is usually crowded, no matter day or night is now changing drastically. Some office employees, teachers and PNS must work at home Work From Home (WFH), all students are excluded from the school. As a result, parents have to bear the burden of parenting their children in the field of education, not a few parents who complain because their children are difficult to learn at home, difficulty learning online, etc, there are even those who quarrel between wife and husband because their children have difficulty learning.

Some factory workers are commuted or alternate working days, for example some work on Monday to Wednesday, some only work on Thursday until Saturday. The entrepreneurs are chaotic business, street vendors are also deserted buyers, operational hours of restaurants or warung stalls are also limited, street vendors and stalls on the side of the road may not open above 9 pm due to the PSBB (Big Scale Social Restrictions).

Satpol PP is running around the streets monitoring the entire community to keep abiding by the regulations regarding the dangerous Corona Virus, while the lower middle-class people in my city rely on government assistance to support their wives and children.

My mom said everyone just went out to buy necessities, groceries and medicine. Some people even have to queue at the Pharmacy just to get immune guard supplements, then forward to the stalls to queue sterile milk to drink every day, in order to pay attention to health so as not to be attacked by dangerous viruses. Not infrequently also the milk of bears run out after they come to the stall, then they run to look for another stall.

We had to wear masks when we left the house, keep our distance from the crowd, and wash our hands diligently. The road that is usually crowded lalulalang vehicles now look stretchy, only looks one or two people just pass through it. Corona Virus .Yes, that's how we and they call it, the impact is dangerous, said my mother, many of the people from Holy City who proved positive to have to undergo self-isolation at home, isolation in Village Hall, and many of the people from the Holy City who proved positive to have to undergo self-isolation at home, or even had to be taken by police and soldiers to perform isolation in Donohudan, Solo.

Not much different, in Los Angeles was the same, early in the morning when there was sunlight, he said, we in America are encouraged to sunbathe for more or less a half hour in order to maintain the immune system so as not to be exposed to the virus.  Everyone here must go out wearing masks and keep their distance, but there are Americans who obey and also some who do not obey the rules imposed. Me and my best friend Brielle are one of those who disobey one of the rules that is “just keep the distance”, we even still often cuddle anywhere.

The difference from the State of Indonesia, in America has been affected by the virus first, we have even been Vaccine first in this Country, while the people in Indonesia are still busy preventing but eventually also exposed because of less than optimal prevention. But, who would have thought, the impact of the creepy Virus was also I had to be returned to Indonesia. Corona Virus changed everything!

The company in the School Bag Industry, Xander Bag who sponsored the scholarship to me was also affected by the virus so that it suffered losses and stopped all scholarship programs. Maybe the company went bankrupt because the school children on holiday and did not need bags because of online learning, so that the company's turnover worsened, and all scholarship programs were stopped.

At first I felt very lucky to be able to study abroad, all my hard work learning English and TOEFL every day paid off already, just imagine every day I have to memorize the English dictionary and its contents, including, yes, some people may say that I am a lucky student who was born into a simple family but could study in Los Angeles, California, but fate is no longer on my side, I have to go back to Indonesia at the end of my 2nd semester.

Anyway, I should feel lucky to be able to study my S1 program Early Childhood Education for one semester, even though after that must be decided. After all, I should feel lucky to have ever boarded a plane, that was my dream from childhood. I remember how my parents used to forbid me from studying abroad, my parents were afraid of being away from me, afraid of what was happening to me, I was their first daughter while my sister was still in Elementary School (SD).

However, my determination to study abroad was great, every day I followed the TOEFL and took lessons to be able to pass the overseas campus scholarship. But fate says something else, now I'm starting to realize, it's the permission of the parents that is very important. In the past I may have forgotten, I only studied with all my might, but did not care about the permission of the parents.

I'm Dhezia Anastasya, people used to call me “Dhezia” but I'm not so familiar if called that, I prefer my mother's call to me.

 “Zia…"

That's when my mom called me.

Dhezia Anastasya, that's the name my parents gave me when I started breathing in this world. Besides helping my parents at home, I have a habit of learning until midnight from childhood. Because I practice dancing, so I study at night.

I'm good at dancing, I always follow extra dancing since I sat on the bench of Kanak-Kanak Park until high school. When I was in high school, my break time was spent in a small building where people could always hear the soft or passionate sounds of gamelan and spirit. At times when there was no training for my level, I sat down to hit the gamelan.

“Every time I pass this building, you're always here, Zia. You are very diligent,” said a friend to me.

“I love the sound of gamelan,” I told him.

“Not do you aspire to study abroad?” tanyakanya.

“Iya, I will be there, I can definitely, I have been scheduled to take the TOEFL test and the interview the day after,” I replied at that time.

"If you were actually studying in America, would you introduce Javanese art there?" tanyanya enthusiastic.

"Yes, I plan to major in Early Childhood Education there, I will introduce the sound of gamelan and the type of Javanese dance in music and dance classes later, hehe," I replied enthusiastically at that time.

I danced accompanied by the music of Javanese Song Lir-ilir. in Music and Dance Class. Unexpectedly, at that time the lecturer of attraction who had never witnessed Javanese dance in real in front of him was amazed to see me! I got an A in Music and Dance Class.

At that time, I was still in my first semester, when I was taking my dance grades in music and dance class, there seemed to be a man watching me from the window outside the classroom, laughing at my dance, and, he was from the first time I performed opening the dance until I ended it looking like he was standing there. Gabriel Holdon, a friend of his on-campus friend called him Gabriel, he comes from the Holdon family.

In the meantime, I just kept watching him laugh at me, was that funny? i danced? But if it's Gabriel, I'm okay he laughs at me, actually he's handsome also when laughing, dimples his cheeks, nose sharp, white skin, really American men dream of women in Indonesia.

"Did Gabriel have a woman in his heart?" ask me to myself.

"Ah but there's no way I'm approaching her, while I'm just a brown eastern girl, while she's a white American," I thought resigned in the end.
