Mafioso In Action's
Opportunity for Ashgard #87

One day later.

At 12:00 p.m.

Berlin came back to the Central Police Station alone. He came with a paper containing a contract that Garwig had given before. After talking about it to his friends and including Nadia. He already has a unanimous decision to give his answer.

"Berlin?" Prawira was surprised by Berlin's arrival without giving any news first.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you first" said Berlin walking through the lobby and approaching Prawira who was standing in front of the locker room.

Somehow Prawira smiled happily to see Berlin coming openly to the police station. "It's okay. Come here, follow me!" take Prawira who then walked towards the stairs at the back door followed by Berlin behind her.

On the roof of the police station. It appears that Garwig had just landed in a police helicopter, turned off the engine and got off the helicopter when she saw Berlin with Prawira there.

"Patrol while enjoying the view through the air?" berlin chirps greet Garwig and then shake hands with her.

Garwig chuckled with Berlin's familiar attitude towards him, "that's how it is," he replied.

"What event did you come here for?" garwig continued walking to the edge of the roof and leaning against the guardrail.

"I want to give my answer to this," replied Berlin who then presented a paper containing the contract previously given by Garwig his uncle.

"Sorry to interrupt, but it seems I have to excuse myself first," said Prawira who appeared to get a call on duty via her radio.

"That's okay, thank you for bringing Berlin here" Garwig said.

Prawira walked back in and down the stairs. While Berlin continued his conversation with Garwig about the permanent job.

"I talked about it with others, including Nadia, and they all agreed that I would take it" Berlin said.

"Especially Nadia, she seemed to really want me to agree to it when I first found out about it" he continued.

"Then, what about yourself?" ask Garwig.

Berlin replied, "i thought I would accept it myself, for it is possible that this is what Ashgard needs."

"Ashgard Required?" chirps Garwig wondered about that.

Berlin chuckled at the question. He said, "let you know how Ashgard was founded."

Having said that, Berlin also told little about his group Ashgard when it first formed or woke up.

"I built Ashgard with the intention of taking refuge from the threats of the day. Yes ... You should know how dangerous it is to enter the criminal or dark world" Berlin said, staring into the street in front of a crowded police station with vehicles.

"Yes, I know" said Garwig.

"I gathered them all together, those who were difficult or even had no jobs at all, and those who wanted to join me. But not everyone and not just anyone can enter and join Ashgard, because I chose it." Berlin told me a little bit about the people who joined the group.

"All the work will be done regardless of whether the work is clean, or even dirty work. So not only work related to criminal acts that we do, but some other work we also do."

"Even though I was born with all the riches, and all the excess sufficiency. But I did not use that wealth into Ashgard, because I wanted Ashgard to stand without having to rely on such wealth."

"So that's how it is" Berlin ended the story.

Garwig listened and listened to everything from the beginning to the end Berlin spoke. He could understand everything that Berlin said and told him, because on the other hand there was little interference that made Berlin that way.

"I just want .. to grant their wish that I accept this contract, and maybe it can also help their future. I just want to thank them as someone they respect" he continued.

Garwig smiled proudly at everything Berlin had to say. He really did not expect that he could see back the nature of the little Berlin that was always proud of his extended family.

"I can understand everything you're saying, because everything you've been through is the result of a little interference." Garwig grabbed the shoulders of Berlin standing beside him.

"Yes, I'm sorry about that, so I'm offering this job, and I'm going to try to grant you what you're asking for" he continued, smiling broadly at Berlin.

"By the way, I came here and I wanted to charge you with what you said that you wanted to explain the work" Berlin recalled a message sent by Garwig about a week ago.

"Oh, about that!" garwig reminded him. "Well, I'll explain" he continued.

Garwig also explained about the work that Berlin and his group would do when he accepted the job. He explained it to Berlin in detail and clearly.

"The work Ashgard will receive is almost the same as the duties or work of a police officer. But the difference is, Ashgard will be more like a spy. So you and your group don't need a uniform for that."

"But Ashgard will not and does not need to work in an office, nor does it need to serve as a police patrol and so forth."

"The task Ashgard will receive is .. to be a group of informants for the police. You are still allowed to transact illegally and such, but all the proceeds must be handed over to the police, and of course we will pay for it."

"Enterprise not to make a criminal case either! Unless ... you guys get thrown in a case, maybe that's the problem."

Garwig also explained and told many things about the duties and some important rules as a member of the police. Although Berlin and his group will not be cast as members, but perhaps knowledge of it will be useful to him.

"The last thing to remember! If there is a big case like yesterday's chaos example. Maybe your role will be important and much needed for us. Therefore, I plead for his cooperation" said Garwig lastly and pleaded, bowing his head before Berlin's eyes. It seemed Garwig was indeed begging.

Berlin was shocked when Garwig pleaded with him. "Please lift your head!" berlin Pinta. "You don't have to beg like that, I'm thankful anyway" he continued.

Garwig raised her head. He feels very happy if Berlin will rejoin his side after many years ago. This is also one of Garwig's own hopes, after he deliberately let go and made Berlin become far from his extended family many years ago.

"With this I hope .. I can make amends for all my mistakes, for having lost all your childhood memories and kept you away from your real family, Berlin. I'm really sorry about that" Garwig's mind looked at Berlin, who was now much older than the little Berlin she used to know.

Berlin sighed and spoke for himself. "Originally you know. After all yesterday's chaos was over, I had the intention to disband Ashgard or even resign from it. Because, I want a better job than everything I do in the group" he said with a downward glance at the street in front of the police station.

"But suddenly .. You gave me a chance and changed my intentions, because of course .. I would be hard-hearted if I had to disband it. So ... thank you very much for the opportunity," he continued to turn his head and looked at Garwig with a grateful look.

Heard that thing. Garwig chuckled and grabbed Berlin by his side, "don't forget that we're family, Berlin! Just tell me whatever you need, and whatever you want from me. I will definitely try to fulfill it."

"Come on, I'm not a boy who wants a car!" chirps Berlin with a reminiscent tone.

Garwig chuckled at hearing that. "But you're still a precious child of the Gates family" he said.

"Oh yes, can I ask you something? Something that always intrigued me" Berlin glanced at Garwig.

"What's that?" sahut Garwig seemed ready to answer his question.

Berlin also asked the question, a question that is still a mystery to him. Namely, "Who are my parents? And if they're still around, where are they right now?"
