(Hakiki Hulmi) Episode 20

So Far Away

Dio walked in front, leading. This time he wore a fur coat of deer skin that had been found dead by his father. Hairy coat tight knitted. The hairy head covering throughout the fringe is light brown, pinned to the head.

“Come,” excitedly towards Artha.

Artha followed Dio with a curious face.

Fifteen minutes ago, Dio woke him up in the middle of the night. Artha came down from the bed made of Rhododendron tree wood when she saw Dio enter the room where his family slept provided by the Maori Chief, none other than Dio's father. Running slowly, trying not to wake her parents. Artha was not noisy at all in accordance with the instructions of Dio who attached the right index finger to the lips perpendicular.

While outside the house, Dio said that he wanted to show Artha something. Of course, he was very interested because during friends with Dio, everything became more exciting in their game. For the game, Artha is number one.

“Before you arrive,” real Dio in English to Artha. They communicate in mixed language. English is more dominant, mixed with Maori and Bahasa Indonesia. Previously, the first six months of friends, Artha communicated by reading the Body Language of her friend and Artha used Indonesian to interact. It turned out that Dio understood Artha's every word. It seems like this little girl with mature skin can read Artha's mind.

Artha followed Dio vigorously. Passing through the long grass on the knee, into the forest. There was no fear in him at all. The black polyester coat has been worn from sleep. The head covering also covers her small head. Her small footsteps sometimes accelerated from feeling impatient with something that her best friend, Dio, would show.

The Maori boy had led Artha into a deeper forest. The forest position is in the forest behind the settlement. Dio stopped his footsteps. Stand glued. Looking towards Artha who was at the side. The little boy who wore a long fur coat almost to his ankles smiled small.

“Behind that tree.. come on.” Dio pulled Artha's hand and ran small towards one big tree. The tree trunk is very big. When he reached the front of a large tree with a trunk as wide as four fat adults, Dio scattered the bushes around the tree. Bushes consisting of small trees and ferns grow around large trunked trees. The shrub and fern plants are taller than they are. Dio tried to walk slowly into the back of the tree. His left hand still pulled Artha's right hand slowly. He was not afraid of the animals that hurt them both because there were no snakes and beasts in New Zealand. About five steps they walked through the bushes and ferns were very dense, Dio continued to brush the bushes while walking. The moonlight shines on their activities tonight.

Sreet.

Dio turned his head towards Artha when he picked up some regularly growing shrub plants. Bush plants and fern plants do not hurt or create itching in the skin.

“Waaaaah..” Unknowingly the sound signified awe coming out of Artha's tiny mouth. A long tone of voice followed his enlarged eyelids when he saw the truly amazing sight.

Before him was a lake filled with trees, one of which was the Rhododendron Tree, that was all he knew. The lakeside land was filled with beautiful grass. Not only on the side they stood, but on the edge of the lake opposite them stood, also the same view. The beauty of the place is so fascinating. Coupled with moss that is green attached to some sidelines of grass and small stones, making the area look very pampering to the eye. No land looks empty, showing its brown color. All the soil is covered by plants from small to large.

Large, diverse tree foliage falls into the lake. The lake in the middle of the forest has a different color of water on all three sides. Red on the left. The blue color is on the right, while the green color is on the edge of the lake where they stand. The lake is flowing slowly, bringing the fallen leaves to the ends. I don't know where the end is. The leaves that fall on the water surface are not too much because at this time of spring.

“Artha, sit here?” bargain Dio while pulling Artha's wrist that is still in the grip.

Artha complied and granted Dio's wish. They were sitting on a tree that had very lush leaves. The lined trees had covered the beautiful scenery from outside. Only a group of people knew about this beautiful place. A group of people from the Maori Tribe.

“This Kauri Tree. Trees that exist only On the North Island of New Zealand,” real Dio straightforwardly. While pulling Artha's hand to sit at the root of the tree.

Artha looked around. Trees called Kauri trees line up on the edge of the lake. Plants that grow upright are narrow cones with branches sticking out along the trunk but the higher, the lowest branches will fall out. It seems like this tree is trying not to be climbed by humans or animals and he also prevents vines from climbing trees.

Not only did a dozen Kauri Trees grow on the outskirts of the lake, but dozens of Kauri Trees from the youngest to oldest grew on the edge. Long line on the left right. The oldest Kauri trees are the ones where they currently shelter. Seen from the largest and highest growing stems. At the top, the Kauri Tree will form a crown as a canopy. Protect the plants below. The beautiful lake is certainly invisible from above, as it is covered with small but dense branches of the Kauri Tree.

On the sidelines of the Kauri Tree tree, grew several trees two to four meters tall. Trees that are already flowering with bright colors. Artha saw some unknown trees, but the tree was no less beautiful than the Rhododendron Tree. It has very thick leaves, almost touching the ground. On each leaf, of course, there were flowers in bloom. Even at night, it can be seen clearly the flowers are small buds. It must be very beautiful if all day sitting on the edge of this lake. The sun will not be too hit the face because the area is so shady. Sunlight will only infiltrate behind the leaves of the Kauri Tree that protects this area.

Several small animals were seen jumping on tree branches. Every now and then the little beast stopped, looking towards the two of them. It seemed like they were wary of the presence of this beautiful forest man. Flickering insects add to the beautiful impression of an area filled with trees, shrubs and ferns and mosses that are plentiful into the base.

“English, right?” asked Dio who was sitting next to Artha. Both legs are folded. Knees are pointing upwards. Both of his thighs touched his chest. Both hands were embracing her two folded legs. The boy warmed himself. “But... instead of seeing the lake and tree we came here.” Real Dio.

Artha looked at Dio. His mouth was slightly open, trying to digest the words of his best friend. Curious face. Both eyes grow. Cute. That's a visible impression. There was no sound coming from the tiny red lips.

Dio laughed a little. Look towards Artha who is on the left. Blinked his left eye once. Suddenly, the little boy wearing a deer fur coat hummed beautifully. His crisp and soft voice, stopped the movement of the creatures around. Rodents, insectivorous animals, types of birds that are perched on tree branches and insects that are flying, stop their activities.

Artha watched the Kiwi Bird looking at them across the lake. The squirrels and stoats that came down the Kauri Tree where they were sheltering were stopping climbing. Insects flying over the lake, floating. Moving in place, not making his flying movements. The Owl perched on the young Kauri Tree, wailed by shaking its head left and right. And various types of harmless animals that had been in this region wanted to enjoy their night sleep, woke up because of the humming issued by Dio. Smiling in Maori. Artha knew that Dio had a beautiful voice and Artha also knew that Dio could communicate with all kinds of animals.

The sound of a small object like a flute accompanied the hum sung by Dio in the distance. Artha searched for the source of the small voice. Both of his eyeballs were deliberately raised in order to find something to look for. The sound of a small flute approached. Artha turned to her left. A butterfly is approaching. The butterfly gave off a yellow-golden glow. Flapping his wings repeatedly. Approaching children aged five and seven.

The tiny, beautiful and petite female creature still blows flutes like a conch house that extends down. The long conch house the size of a fingertip headed towards the base of his palm.

The tiny creature approached towards the two of them. Flying closer while blowing a flute, as if duetting with a song echoed by Dio.

Dio stopped his singing.

And the little creature kept the little flute away from her tiny lips. Flying in front of Dio and Artha. His lips extended a smile at this moment towards Dio. His big eyeballs, not according to the size of his small head, repeatedly blinked. Although the eyeballs look big, but this small creature is beautiful to look at.

On the other hand, Artha was dumbstruck unaware that her mouth had opened when she saw this little creature. His face is so cute at the moment.

“Little princess..she's a little fairy who lives in this beautiful forest, real” Dio to Artha. Dio turned his head towards Artha who was still fixated on seeing the small creature in front of them. “In New Zealand they are named Patupaiarehe,” obviously Dio returned to Artha.

Dio turned towards the little elf because there was no response from Artha. Dio said, “This is my best friend, her name is Artha.., the real” Dio to the little elf who looked towards Artha when introducing her best friend.

The little elf smiled and bowed half her body in front of Artha. He smiled back after straightening his back. This little elf smile was extremely charming. The flapping of its wings continued to move swiftly to maintain its petite body to remain floating.

“This is what I want to show you, real” Dio.

This time Artha turned to her best friend without a word. Her tiny mouth was still open with a face full of astonishment.

Tonight, in a very beautiful forest. Artha had just met the first tiny creature in a beautiful form. Her body was like a very beautiful Barbie Doll. All the shapes and curves of the Barbie Dolls are owned by her, but only the tip of her ears are pointed upwards and her wings are different from Barbie Dolls in general.

The little elf, often called Patupaiarehe, was talking to Dio. I don't know what they're talking about, Artha doesn't understand. He simply fell silent and listened to what Dio and the little elf had done.

Artha who has above average intelligence than other toddlers, observes, absorbs and stores all the activities performed by the little elf and Dio. His eyes could not be separated from the two of them.

Amazed by the beauty of nature at the beginning, when Artha saw the beautiful scenery like heaven, it was more complete when he met a little fairy who was not afraid at all with him.

The little elf who had been talking to Dio for a long time, was ordered to sit on Artha's right shoulder. That little elf, was currently between Artha and Dio. They were now silent looking towards the flowing lake, carrying the dried leaves towards the end of the lake. The two young children who had different family backgrounds, enjoyed the beauty of nature in silence.

All the animals in the beautiful forest, have done their respective activities as before. Now they paid no heed to the two little humans sitting quietly under the largest Kauri Tree in the area.
