Harpi and a Little Mess

THE SWEAT ADORNED THE FACES of Lily and Efron who were running along the back corridor. After getting a surprise attack from the mythological creature, Efron immediately pulled Lily's hand to get away from the animal cage. Not wanting to cause damage to the school's infrastructure, Lily is deliberately used as bait to attract the attention of the creature named Harpi to a more open place. And sure enough, the female-headed bird immediately chased after the two.

Lily looked back and found Harpi getting closer to them. He let go of Efron's grasp, then reached into the robe to find a grain of wine that he had taken from the dining room. He cast a spell “Bouncha Gigantium!” then throw the wine until it hits the floor and turns big. The wine bounced towards Harpi tightly until it hit the wall which then cracked. Lily continued to run after Efron, while Harpi stopped and let out a shrill voice.

They returned hand in hand until they reached the backyard and stared around vigilantly. Lily held onto her knees with a breath of breath. “Where is Maya fucking? Could he feel good to stay in place, while I was made bait?”

After a while, Harpi's shrill voice came back even closer. As Lily's back straightened, Efron pulled back his arm. Efron leads Lily to the only tree there. The old tree that stood firm not far from the back gate. “Can you control this tree?”

“What? Of course not! This tree is too big.”

Efron seemed to think for a moment. “I don't know if this can help or not, but it never hurts to try,” he said as he reached into his pants pocket.

“What is this?” lily asked as she received a small bottle of the deep red liquid from Efron.

“Medicine strong.”

“Hah?”

Efron had not yet explained, Harpi had been not far from them. Efron immediately forced Lily to swallow the red liquid earlier, while he tried to block in front. Some of the attacks he was able to avoid by using the magic wand and the spells of the attacker. But because he was careless, his hand was accidentally struck by sharp nails belonging to Harpi. Efron has an injury to his left arm. Unsatisfied to see Efron injured, Harpi tried to attack again. However, the branches of the old tree began to move to reach the body of the creature.

“You can't go anywhere, ugly!” lily shouted over the hiccups. The potion drunk apparently gives the effect of hiccups, but it adds to the energy. He moved his hand as an order to control the old tree. The branches are getting elongated and wrapped around Harpi's body until locked. Efron who did not want to miss the opportunity began to rise and again raised his magic wand.

“Yuhuuu, reinforcements coming!” Maya's voice rang out from a distance. He and Venalu came with a flyboard that was immediately greeted with a shout that read “Curat!” from Lily.

Maya is indifferent to Lily's scream. He approached his good friend while handing over the flyboard he deliberately brought. The same thing was done by Venalu, singling out the flyboard while saying, “You have to help me.”

Lily burped loudly. Along with that, his strength weakened. Presumably the effects of the potion began to disappear. The branches that wrapped around Harpi's body began to loosen. Feeling the opportunity, the creature moved its wings violently. Harpi was free. Instead of running out of energy, the mythological creature looks even stronger. His wings were flicked several times to create a strong wind. Harpi's growing craze made the four students overwhelmed by his attacks.

As if hypnotized, Harpi immediately stopped the attack and immediately turned to Maya. When his gaze collided with Maya's eyes, he was like he was thrown into another dimension where all the places turned white and there was only Maya standing boldly before him. The creature was in a daze, forgetting its purpose. Having Harpi's condition makes Maya laugh loudly, then shut up and stare at Harpi. He stretched his palm forward and said, “Cubile, attack me.” with great emphasis. As if getting an order, Harpi let out her loud voice and prepared to attack.

“Here!”

Venalu came with his sword of light from behind. The Elf girl used her flyboard to align the position with Harpi while her left hand was joined to Efron.

“You are an expert in using swords?” maya asked as they were about to catch up with Lily and Efron.

“Lumayan.”

Maya pulls Venalu's arm, asking him to stop stepping. “Then listen to me,” he said. “Yes, maybe I've always been nicknamed a troublemaker, but my brain isn't so ugly as to make a hunch.”

Venalu sniffed his shoulders. He did not immediately refuse, but that does not mean just agree. He needs to hear more from Maya.

“Listen, I saw that Harpi had some kind of power, but it was very strong. I capture foreign energy that is too impossible to be conquered by second-rate students like us,” explained Maya.

“So?”

“Jadi ... if we want to attack, I suggest to attack it ... from behind.”

At first Venalu showed a disapproving expression, but hearing Maya's explanation afterwards made him think again. Maybe Maya's strategy has a point. That by dealing directly is the same as giving up life freely.

“Me and Lily might distract him. And Efron will help you, because the child is able to make fast movements that are not easily realized,” said Maya assured. “That's our chance to cripple it.”

Venalu had prepared to swing his sword. His sword had even nearly stabbed Harpi, but something he saw in the creature's body made him stop the movement. “Retreat!” the thrill then while trying to pull Efron. It made everyone surprised, Efron was no exception. The man immediately obeyed Venalu's orders and as fast as lightning they were far away from Harpi.

“What you guys do!” furious Maya. Everything was chaotic instantly. Harpi went back out of control. Seeing her friends about to be attacked, Maya pulls her hair out. Behind the hair behind the colors are two small snakes that curl and stick out their tongues. Feeling called, the two snakes stuck their bodies to the right-left of Maya's head. The girl contained it like she was whispering something, then the snake to her right spat out something right about one of Harpi's wings.

“Do what should be done,” hiss Maya who is still upset by Venalu's actions.
