Mr. Hamid was sitting in the family room with his eldest son who had just been involved in a senseless matter. The old man learned everything after getting a report from a police officer who was the son of their close relatives.
Ms. Fatimah was equally surprised about the problems that befell Alfin. He then asked about the woman who became his son's lover.
"No ma, we're separated. Some of us break up also not because of the problem of gono gini kok."
"Fin, mama won't let Devina's parents know about this!."
"Yes, I must have been."
"Are you sure you can guarantee the girl won't bother you again?."
"Yes!."
"Too until he throws a tantrum and cancels your show, I won't stay silent. Father himself will make you both go in bui."
"Geez, Dad!."
"Because you're the culprit."
Alfin could not resist and chose silence with a heart that was really upset because it was constantly cornered by his own father.
______
That night Alfin chose to return to the stage after several days of missing from his musical activities. He tried to forget his regret by being the most interesting in charge of enlivening the place of worship.
Edo had just returned home from work when Alfin was just about to get on stage at exactly eleven o'clock past thirty-five minutes of the night.
The sound of music so powerfully filled the space with that level of incredible density. Young people stomp each other's feet to enjoy the atmosphere, unwind after a day of thinking about endless work.
The flashing disco lights made the crowd down there look even more wild and uncontrollable. Likewise with Alfin, the man further aggravated the atmosphere when considering his status which will soon turn into a married man.
Edo who was on the second floor looked relaxed watching the atmosphere down there with a glass of cocktail in his hand. Long enough the man sat alone until a woman came over.
The tania?
...
"Hi, Do." The woman named Tania smiled gracefully when she saw Edo's presence who seemed to enjoy the atmosphere.
"Can I sit here?."
"Oh, just sit down."
"Only alone?." Ask the lady.
"Emh, I can't." Edo himself looks relaxed in response to a question from his friend's former lover.
"Lu himself?."
"Gue again join me. Just here for entertainment all you look around." Say it with a thin smile.
"Look at him you mean?." Edo pointed at Alfin's existence with his chin.
The woman smiled without a definite answer.
____
Silence returned to crawl the two until Alfin finally finished his party and was replaced by another DJ who was preparing to go on stage.
The man's eyes were stunned for a moment when he saw the existence of the former who now looked thinner than the last time they met.
"Udah?." Edo asked to break the silence between the rippling atmosphere.
"Udah."
"Tumben you?."
"Gue got business."
"Helahh, that's busy ass."
"For the sake of the young mistress of the heir to the throne, Mr. Hamid!." Speak with great emphasis.
"Don't sit down, Fin?." Tania rebuked him with a question sentence.
"Sory, I'm in a hurry." The man looked indifferent to the existence of the former who instead looked at him expectantly. "Gue pull ya."
Alfie left in a bit of a hurry. Edo who saw it was also confused but also felt amused at the same time. He understood very well if the man with above average levels of stupidity was hunting with time because of something.
...
"He's changed a lot, hasn't he?." Said Tania while confirming the condition of her ex-lover to the man sitting next to her.
"Yes as you can see."
"How was it yourself?." Ask hanging.
"You mean?." Edo turned to look at Tania who was staring at the sparkling disco lights that made the atmosphere below them even more crazy.
"Still the same Tasya?."
Edo nodded thinly. The man becomes irritable and does not much to say when dealing with women like Tania and Rosi who have many faces.
"How's ros?."
"Tan, you just want to know about your ex, right?."
"Alfin is getting married."
"Isn't it?!." Tania was obviously shocked when she heard Edo's words.
"Same Rosi?." Curious next.
"Not."
"Continue?."
"Gue doesn't know."
Tania seemed to breathe a sigh of relief after hearing the man's last sentence.
"Lu don't want to follow?." Ask Tania,
"Lu want to not modain me to treat the Tasya?." Edo gave him an unexpected question that made the woman suddenly look up because of the ridiculous speech of the man beside her.
"There's a gobeng if you want to?."
Edo snorted lazily as he saw the woman was still busy holding back the laughter because of him.
________
________
Alfin forgets his promise to Devina who says if the man will pick her up at the farm after solving his problem with Hamid sir.
"Campus me!. I can forget that boncel!." His grunts while continuing to step on the gas pedal down the dark streets of the village to the farm which is only thirty-seven kilos from the city.
...
At two o'clock in the morning the man arrived with sore eyes after forcing his eyes to stay alert until the location.
The situation was so quiet and so creepy, there were only a few lighting lights that lit up near the courtyard.
Before long a man in a white jacket came over with a flashlight highlighting the paving blocks below.
"Loh?. Alfin sir?." Didit greeted him with a confused face.
"Vina's still here, sir?."
"Mbak Vina?. I think I've been picked up by Sule kang, mas. About eleven o'clock."
"Okay, I'm going straight back."
"Don't sleep here first?. It's two o'clock, prone to being on the street."
Didit's words made Alfin turn around with his eyebrows knitted.
"Virgin why?."
"A lot of wild animals that come out at night, and that's also what we don't know if there are people who are not known suddenly dahan car until fit on the road."
Somehow Alfin's guts who was a man instantly ciut imagined his journey should be hampered due to unexpected problems.
"There is a room mbak Vina mas that can use. Her Vina is not there either."
Alfin finally agreed to Didit's suggestion to spend the night at the farm although it did not feel comfortable for him because it was the first time to occupy a room that was not his taste.
The man followed Didit's steps leading him to one of the bedroom doors where Devina kept her belongings.
"Wait a minute, I'll get you the key."
Didit left Alfin himself in front of the door of the room that is really creepy to be said to be ordinary for some people, especially him.
After three minutes Didit brought back a key with a heart-shaped hanger in his hand.
"Well, here's the key."
"You guys brought me some drinking water, who knows when the thirsty malem-malem will come out." Didit perfectly understood the man's needs before leaving to return to rest.
Alfin opened the 3 x 3 square meter room and found a room without a cot inside. Obviously the man was confused as to what to sleep with and how.
Just a plastic cabinet and a neatly arranged folding mattress on top of it is also a pillow and a bolster wrapped in a glove with an adorable tsum-tsum pattern. He then opened the plastic cabinet to look for a blanket before lowering the folds of the mattress above it.
Something accidentally falls when Alfin pulls the bedcover folds stored neatly at the bottom.
He picked up the sheet of paper that had been scattered because of his carelessness earlier and when the last sheet, the man's eyes actually found a photo of a 3 x 4 boy in black and white.
Alfin realizes that it is a graduation photo of someone, but who and why did Devina keep it on purpose?.
