Bonus Chapter - Incident
The next morning, Sean and the children had already left for work and school. Viana went to B to make a pilgrimage to the grave of her birth mother. Along the way, he kept daydreaming looking out the window.
"Mother, we'll meet" Viana muttered with a smile.
Daniel was still focused on driving with two escort cars behind and in front of them.
"Daniel, did Sean just recruit a new bodyguard?" ask Viana suddenly.
"No, Madam."
"Who was the bodyguard wearing the sunglasses and the mask?"
"Di,, she's having a detox on her face so she wears a mask, ma'am. While sunglasses are required to wear all bodyguards if you want to travel." Daniel explained, but with a nervous behavior like hiding something.
"It seems like I've been focusing less lately and I've forgotten important things." Viana sighed softly.
Daniel was just listening.
"Mrs, which way are we going?" daniel asked as they were near the crossroads.
"Where's the nearest line?" ask Viana.
"I don't think it's okay, Madam. The nearest lane passes through a deserted road and away from the settlement" Daniel said.
"How much is the difference if we go through a regular road?"
"About an hour, Madam."
"An hour is long. Just go through the nearest lane," said Viana.
"Okay, Madam."
Daniel immediately informs all the guards to take the nearest line at Viana's request.
Along the way they only saw trees and towering hills. Very soothing eyes indeed, but still the streets are very quiet. There were only a few vehicles passing through it especially the large trucks.
The journey was still safe, until a truck loaded with wood tried to overtake their car while crossing the road that contained a small chasm below.
Daniel was shocked because their mobi almost got stuck. Viana was still calm.
"Mrs, are you okay?" asked Daniel with a tense face.
"It's okay. Focus on the road, don't mind the truck. Keep going at normal speed," said Viana who still had a calm face.
"Good, Miss." Daniel nodded in understanding.
However, not long after, came the unloaded truck car drove from the opposite direction. Strangely, however, the truck took their course, causing the bodyguard in front of them to take a right-hand drive and collide with the mini-bus behind the truck.
And now, the truck took the car lane that Viana was riding.
Daniel hesitated because he was confused which path to take. If he takes the right lane, then the car will go into the abyss, and if he takes the left lane, there's a big truck behind that truck.
Viana who already understood this situation instantly broke through to the front bench. He unlocked the door next to Daniel and pushed it out of the door until it was safe.
Viana didn't stand a chance. Quickly, he turned the steering wheel to the left and the car fell into the abyss.
"Mrs!!!!" shouted Daniel.
The truck was still taking the left lane and now faced with a guard car. One of the bodyguards immediately pulled out a gun and shot the tire of the right side of the truck so that the truck was screwed and fell into the ravine with the driver who could not save himself.
