What a Weird Welcome

Nervously entering the fairytale-like palace, Gwen's arrival was greeted by dozens of servants lined up and bowed respectfully to her.

Gwen was so misbehaved, she was not used to being treated that way.

Until Gwen was at the main door, there was a couple dressed like royalty. They are Marquez and his wife Isabel.

"Gwen?" Marquez tried asking to be sure.

"Yes sir, she is Gwen, your missing daughter" said Aland, who was behind Gwen.

Marquez stretched out his arms so that Gwen would come closer and embrace him.

"Come, hug your father!" said it.

Slowly Gwen approached, her cheeks wet with tears. He did not think his parents were the sultan.

Gwen hugged Marquez in awe. "So you're my father?"

"Right, you were kidnapped by your nanny from a baby. Your nanny wants to separate us" Marquez explained.

Marquez's explanation makes Gwen confused because it is said that the nanny raised Gwen like her own biological child.

"We better test first, is she really your real daughter" said Isabel who disliked the interaction between Gwen and Marquez.

Gwen took off her arms and her attention turned to Isabel. If Isabel's wife to Marquez means she's his mother, right?

As Gwen approaches Isabel, she moves away from him as if rejecting Gwen's presence.

"Isabel!" shouted Marquez who saw the attitude of his wife.

"I can't believe that she's your daughter, better get a check-up!" Isabel did not lose.

Gwen recalled the scar on her shoulder, so she took off her upper shirt and showed it to Isabel.

"I have this sign!" gwen. But Isabel doesn't trust him.

"Come, Miss." The doctor, Regis, is friendly and asks Gwen to follow him.

There is a private hospital in the palace, a small hospital for members of the palace if sick. Although small but all medical equipment there is complete.

"Are we going to do a DNA test?" ask Gwen to make sure. She is very confused over her original family welcome to her especially Isabel.

"Sort of like that, Miss," replied the doctor Regis who gave the patient's shirt to Gwen.

As far as Gwen knows, DNA tests only require tissue from the body such as hair, skin or body fluids. But why did Regis' doctor ask him to change his clothes?

After changing clothes Gwen did a series of tests that made Gwen feel even more strange because she felt no pain.

"Am I sick?" gwen asked as she finished her tests.

"No miss, you are very healthy" replied the doctor Regis briefly.

A second later some of Marquez's servants came and they brought Gwen to clean up in her room.

In Marquez's private room, the man sat down together with Aland. They're waiting for Regis' doctor to come with Gwen's test results.

"If Gwen is a good fit, you have to keep your word, sir," Aland said, demanding payment for the effort he's been doing.

"You'll get everything you want" replied Marquez who would fulfill Aland's wishes as he promised.

Not long after, Regis's doctor came. The palace doctor brought a report regarding the results of the tests he had done on Gwen earlier.

"It's healthy and everything fits, sir," he reported.

Marquez smiled with satisfaction. "Better quickly do the procedure, do not fail again for this time!"
