Twenty-four

Mega boarded the bus to get to the hotel where she worked. During the trip he really enjoyed the scenery around him. Her taste had been a long time since she had enjoyed such little things. Ever since the rumor surfaced Mega became afraid to leave the house. He felt traumatized by the invasion of the journalists he experienced while in front of his rented house. Although things have improved, Mega still wears a mask wherever he goes. Just in case the reporters or fans of Jonathan do not recognize themselves.

Since having a mobile phone, Mega became more knowledgeable about the news that was being talked about. He also read an article about himself rumored to be dating Jonathan. From there Mega found out that many Jonathan fans hate and bully themselves. There are so many things they make and swear for themselves. Mega knew they were acting that way because it was unacceptable for their idol to have a lover. And Mega did not take their heart, he could understand it as long as they did not hurt him directly.

Once at the stop, Mega got off the bus and walked about fifty meters to get to the hotel. There he met a co-worker named David, according to news that Mega had heard he was a man that Zea liked.

"good morning Mega" said David.

"good morning" replied Mega.

"you're right, this is the first time I've been on a bus. You know I used to ride a bike. But since my bike is not wearing so I took the bus"

It's been more than two years that she harbored feelings for David, and now the man she likes is actually expressing his feelings to other girls. Who wouldn't be angry if they were in Zea's position? Everyone will feel the same. Sad, heartbroken and disappointed that cannot be expressed in words.

"Mega, tell me do you accept my feelings?" ask David expectantly.

The sound of the car horn interrupting makes Mega can not finish his sentence. An expensive car stops next to David and Mega. The two of them wondered who was inside.

Tristan lowered her car glass slightly and looked at Mega with a meaningful gaze. "i'll wait in the penthouse"

Seeing the figure of Tristan, Mega quickly took off his hand from David's grasp. He felt frightened by Tristan's sharp gaze on her. I don't know why he feels like the one who's been caught cheating. David was disappointed when Mega pulled his hand. He thought that all this time what he thought was wrong. But it turns out that seeing Mega's attitude makes David think that the girl has really become his boss's lover.

"good sir" replied Mega quickly. He ran straight to the hotel leaving David. "David, I go first" cried Mega.

Before leaving Tristan looked at David with his sharp gaze. He seemed to give a warning through his eyes so that David stopped approaching Mega. Horrified at such a face, David chose to bend his body, saluting the man who was the boss as well as his rival man.

Zea walked up to David when Tristan was gone, he immediately hugged David from behind without thinking that they were still around the bus stop. David was shocked at the hug all of a sudden. She tried to let go of the hug but Zea instead tightened her embrace even more.

"why do you have to like her while here I obviously love you so much" Zea said.

David exhaled violently when he found out that the one hugging him was Zea. "heard Zea, I don't like to say this because this will definitely hurt you. But I can't return your feelings either because I don't have those feelings for you"

Back Zea felt heartbroken hearing David's answer. Slowly she let go of her embrace and ran away leaving David. Zea doesn't want David to see her tears, David is a gentle and tender man. The man would feel more guilty if he saw her crying.

Meanwhile, Matteo deliberately parked his car in the area around the hotel. He watches Mega secretly before launching his action. Matteo smiled as he saw Mega running into the hotel. Almost eight years they did not meet and it turns out Mega grew up to be a very beautiful girl.

"i will take care of you as much as I can, when the time comes I hope you won't hate me" muttered Matteo. "I really love Divya. Even if she was just using me, I felt no objection as long as I could see her smile".
