CHAPTERS. 49

Alando was still glued in front of his papa's nursery door, he could not guess what he would get inside later, whether he was able to quell his emotions when he saw the papa. But in her inner heart she was terrified when she was too late to see her father. Alando still remembered the sweet memories he went through while with his father and his mother, there was a lot of happiness that they passed.

His father was very fond of him and his mother, whatever he asked for his father would give but all the memories were like a dream replaced by a bitter reality. Her father changed, she became a stranger in the blink of an eye, the woman managed to blind the eyes and mind of her father so that she did not care about her little family anymore. All he knows is that the woman has disappeared with a new man who is more amazing than his papa.

"Bright..." Alando took a deep breath and the "Kreek" of the doorknob began to be pulled and opened, eyes fixed on him as if he was no ordinary human, there were four pairs of eyes there. Alando knows them all, people who have been in his past.

"Alan's... Papa's happy to see you here." Even if things aren't too good, the infusion attached to his hand and and the oxygen hose that was in his nose as well as his pale face and increasingly thin body showed that he was really as seriously ill as what Dinda said, his son with the woman.

"Alan, I miss you so much." the girl hugged the body of her little best friend, it has been a long time since they have not seen each other since the separation of Alando's parents and since then their friendship has seemed to break up.

"Gaby...?" call Alando, he's been shocked all along Meira's only ever hugged him. And this girl...? His little friends, playmates when they were kids. Alando did spend a lot of time together and they took care of each other, there were many sweet memories between them.

"I'm glad you remember me? I thought you'd forgotten about me all along." she told Alando, she'd just keep on swinging around in Alando's hands.

"My idea isn't that bad? even I still remember all the family I had before." Alando told his father, who Alando knew all his papa family even helped to stay away from him and his mother after the divorce of his parents.

"Lan, we and them are all still your family" he said, saddened by everything that had happened. "Papa's very happy you want to come back" continued the papa.

"Yes, I'm also happy, we can spend time together like we used to." Gaby knew there were a lot of changes to her friend, but she promised to bring Alan back like a friend in his childhood, who cared deeply about him.

Alando just looked at the girl clingy, cunning little girl who always asked for her protection when the cousins harassed her.

"Papa's happy you're getting close again, and Papa's eager to get you both. Papa wants to see you get married as soon as Alan, before Papa dies maybe this will also be Papa's request for the last time. What do you think, Alan?" ask her father in a weak voice. "Or maybe you can get engaged first."

"Tomorrow Pa...! I will prepare the ring soon." replied Alando, according to his Papa's request, perhaps this will be the only request his papa can grant.

Gaby is happy with the words that Alando just said, she can be back with her little friend again forever, Gaby's inner self.

Alando was only able to return home at 21:00 p.m. This day he also had to accompany his Papa, Alando tried to forgive his Papa especially with his current condition, inevitably making Alando throw his ego to continue to hate his papa.

There were a lot of calls and messages on his phone from the innocent girl who accompanied his days during these few months, but Aldo did not pick it up at all nor even reply to the message. "Meira...?" Alando misses the girl, can he not see her little girl. The girl who initially made him upset, astonished and frustrated became one. And now the girl just made him unable to breathe when he was away from her.

Today was her engagement day, and that was her father's request. He had already prepared everything from his ring to even his mental. Her engagement was indeed a little afternoon because her papa is currently still undergoing chemotherapy.

"Ohhhh..." Alando took a deep breath, preparing himself. A decision that will be the turning point of his life, Alando hopes he can live the journey of life with him.

Alando entered the hospital room where his father was being treated, only a few families were present. His father and Dinda, aunt Yuma and Om Fandi as cousins Papa and Gaby their child and his little friend. There is also the brother of Papa whom Alando has never seen again before today.

"Alan...?" they smiled to greet Alando, only that he was too awkward to face his family. After the divorce of his parents, there was no communication between them. Until Alando just smiled kindly to return the greetings of those who are his own om and tant.

"Alan...?" Gaby looks beautiful with her elegant peach-colored dress. He drew closer to Alando and smiled at him while Alando was just stunned by the memories of their childhood.

"OK, how about if we direct the engagement now" said Om Rendrawan his Papa brother, now the desire of the board is their priority because tomorrow whether the Papa is still with them.
