Midnight Foot Step
Chapter 18 - A Reason

After realizing that fact, the fear of Dance gradually disappeared and changed into anger. He does not accept Arum being harmed until he is in a coma and his spirit is left wandering.

Without hesitation, Tari lifted her face and looked at Mr. Hasan with nanar.

"So Mr. Hasan put my friend in a coma!" shouted Dance loudly.

This time he did not care about safety, the most important was justice for friends. Whatever the risk, Tari is determined to fight back to save Arum. He will not give up while his life is still there.

"Oh, so that sassy kid is your friend, huh? Apparently you learned from him to go against my rules" said Mr. Hasan quickly.

"But, it's okay, it's good. With so many more spirits who become the fruit of the devil. And this dormitory will be the most creepy place, so that no one dares come here," continued Mr. Hasan before Tari opened her voice.

Dance grew furious, "Why is Mr. Hasan so cruel? What is our fault that you treat us like this?"

The sound of Dance still sounded loud despite the hoarse and trembling.

Seeing Tari start to fight, Siska also gathered courage. Although she did not dare to make a sound, Siska had already dared to raise her face. With Dance, he will fight Mr. Hasan.

"I want revenge. You are not wrong, but .. the campus who made a fatal mistake. I'm not gonna let this hostel last long. In the near future, this place should be empty and should not be used again" replied Mr. Hasan with hatred.

"Why does Mr. Hasan want such a thing? It is an educational institution, a very useful place for many people. Why do you intend to destroy it?" tanya Dance.

He's inexhaustible with Mr. Hasan's actions. Could have wanted to close the dormitory, while hundreds of students forge knowledge on the campus.

"Shut up! How dare to call me vile. You still stink, don't understand anything! What I'm doing now, it's not worth what they've done in the past. They are the real vile humans! Masked uniform and educational, but actually have no morals, no heart, inhuman!" snapped Mr. Hasan. He was fiery in evaporation of emotions.

"What are they doing? Why is Mr Hasan so angry, so involving us?" This time, Siska spoke.

After successfully gathering courage, Siska went to fight the guard of the dormitory. In addition to his own safety, he also did it for Arum. He did not want Arum to be a victim and become a son of the devil.

"You want to know? All right, listen carefully! Think of it as a gift before you flirt," said Mr. Hasan, smiling with a grin.

"That can't happen. I had to run away and get away from this place" said Tari in her heart.

A cold gust of wind suddenly ambushed the nape of Tari and Siska. They were goosebumps when Mr. Hasan called room 201, the creepiest room. But they both try to calm down. They will not show their fear to Mr. Hasan and Ms. Rima.

Now, Tari and Siska are even guessing, about the possibilities that are the reason behind the horror of room 201. A reason that seems to be related to Mr. Hasan's son.

"But bad, he didn't go to college for long. Due to an inadequate building system, water from the bathroom seeps into the walls of the room. Meanwhile, the electrical installation was not well noticed. Finally .... fatal. Electricity in room 201 was short and my son was a victim. He died in a tragic way."

Mr. Hasan's body shook violently when telling the story. Hate and sadness mixed into one when remembering the past events are very dark. An event that will never be forgotten forever.

In front of him, Miss Rima turned her eyes. He hid his teary eyes. Losing her only daughter is a wound that has no cure. Even more so when remembering lost justice to nowhere.

"Is this why the wall is always wet and looks terrible?" batin Tari after hearing Mr. Hasan's explanation.

"My son is a victim, but the campus is not responsible. They ignored and even threw the blame on my son. They said the accident happened because of my negligent son. In fact, all that will not happen if the security of the dormitory is considered. But, they were missing and did not admit it. By relying on power, they oppress us. While people were around, they pretended to be blind and deaf. Although it is clear what happened to my son, but they are not indifferent. No one's helping me find justice."

Mr. Hasan clenched tightly, even the tip of his fingernails to the point of injuring the finger segments. But, he doesn't care. His heart and soul were already overwhelmed with anger when he remembered the incident. He wept lamenting the passing of his son, while the campus and the people around him showed no sympathy in the slightest.

"Not stop there. After my son's gone, those damn people have us guarding this fucking place, forever." Mr. Hasan paused his sentence while taking a deep breath.

"My wife and I are just weak people, having no wealth or power. We can not fight and must accept fate, serve in this place until later," continued Mr. Hasan. His chest seemed to rise and fall due to the emotions that had already reached the peak.

Mr. Hasan still clearly remembered how injured he was at that time. The child does not get justice, while he is instead ordered to guard the place that harms his child.

Mr. Hasan and Ms. Rima harbored hatred in silence. Their grudges were burning without anyone noticing. Everything was going normally, as it was. No one brought up the death of his son, nor did anyone care about their injuries.

Mr. Hasan and Bu Rima also behaved naturally, as if they had given away their son. Behind that attitude, they ally themselves with the devil for revenge. Every night presents offerings as food, so that the supernatural beings feel at home there and disturb the inhabitants of the dorm.

"If you feel scared and uncomfortable, you should go and move from this campus. Not even interfering in our affairs," said Bu Rima with a cynical look. The sadness that had been seen, was now gone and changed ferociously.

"Now, the rice has become porridge. You have come to this place, so do not expect to be safe. Don't blame us for this incident, you yourself are willing to come and willingly give up your life." Hasan ended his words with laughter.
