After helping Ze finish off the giant monsters that got stronger after his herd was annihilated, Azel immediately left from there.
"I must immediately get rid of the creatures that have broken the dimensional door rule. Otherwise, the life of the next guard's mother-to-be will be threatened and I will live longer and longer in loneliness as a dimensional doorman." muttered Azel as he flew towards the white circle of light which was the dimensional door he guarded and could control.
Azel was busy to and fro using the dimensional door to deal with the beings who had broken the dimensional door rule.
"Quite a number of creatures also managed to escape from the dimensional gate. What the hell is this?" said Azel while clamping his chin using his index finger and thumb.
"It looks like something strong enough to have deliberately made the dimensional door fail to hold those creatures back from crossing another dimension" he murmured.
"Huft, it is quite tiring to also overcome the many creatures that are very large in number." he complained.
"It's time I met that girl named Ze. He will choose one of the lives he will live in the future. I hope he chooses the world he lives in now because that dimension is strong enough to keep creatures from other worlds from entering." he murmured.
"Either the conspiracy of what makes that dimension can concede some pretty troublesome creatures" he murmured again.
"Here you go, that's the last thing I need to find out. Now it's time to take care of the girl first. His wish was paramount because I had forcibly taken his soul from his previous world." Azel broke up and immediately flew into the white circle he had raised and disappeared within that circle.
A white light suddenly emerged from the roof of the building where a girl was lying and Azel came out of the light. That girl is Ze.
"You've come." said Ze.
Azel set his foot on the floor then smiled while nodding. He sat down on a chair and Ze immediately approached and sat down on a chair close to Azel.
"I always keep my word" he told Ze.
"You're stranded in this dimension because I'm the one who carries and leaves your soul in this dimension" Azel said before Ze asked.
"Your soul is the soul of the next guardian's mother-to-be. In your previous world it was not safe for you to live there." continued Azel.
"Here you can practice cultivation in order to protect yourself from other beings who managed to break through the dimensional door. If you stay in your world, not only you, unrelated people will get hurt and even die" he explained again and Ze still faithfully listened.
"That's why when you were injured and your soul detached from your body, I transferred your body to this world and it just so happened that there was a body that was perfectly suited to cultivating that was also detached from its soul" he said.
"Your body is deliberately kept alive in your world there so that you can choose where to live" he continued.
"So, what do you want it to be like now?" his tan made Ze fall silent thinking about what he wanted.
Ze chooses to live in the world now but wants to say goodbye to his sister first. Azel granted Ze's wish. Seeing Ze's farewell with her sister made Azel shed tears considering the family he loved who had died centuries ago.
Life as a guardian is full of loneliness and fear. Not afraid of the creatures he has to fight or something like that. Fear of connecting with others.
Fear of interacting with others. Fear of having special feelings for others. His destiny to live much longer than normal humans makes him have to be willing to watch people around him age and die.
Every time he gets close to someone else because he feels lonely, he had to think again to undo that intention because he was afraid of the fear of losing when the life span of that person had reached its limit.
Because of this, he is very much looking after Ze so that the opportunity to live normally will soon get him right at the age of 10 centuries.
