Chapter 32 - Getting to Know

That night Kenzo invited Kafi to meet the Scouth family. But before that Kafi asked Kenzo to stop by the mall and buy a proposal ring for his future son-in-law. And somehow Kenzo complied without much protest.

"I don't know if this is enough or not."

"At least we brought him Ken, didn't come empty-handed."

Kenzo nodded in understanding. The handsome man immediately stepped on the accelerator towards the Scouth residence. They must have been waiting for his arrival. Luckily Kenzo had rented a car unit while in Belgium so he did not need to use the taxi service anymore.

For a moment Kafi was amazed to see the grandeur of the mansion owned by his prospective besi. The middle-aged man felt a little inferior.

"Our father arrived." - reprimanded Kenzo because Kafi never got out of the car.

"Ah yes Ken, sorry Daddy daydreamed."

"What's wrong?"

"none. Let's get down."

Kenzo nodded in understanding, the handsome man tidied up his appearance before entering. There seemed to be some servants welcoming the two at the entrance.

"Welcome Sir." They bowed respectfully. Because they already knew that Kenzo would be the Young Master of this house.

One of them escorted Kafi and Kenzo to the living room when Kenzo knew where the room was but the man did not protest.

Both are welcome to sit until the host arrives.

"In a moment, I call you Mr and the Big Lady."

With his cold face Kenzo nodded in understanding. Five minutes passed and the couple finally saw. They walked together to welcome the arrival of besan candidates and prospective daughters-in-law.

"Thank you, sir, it's great to see you." Kafi welcomed Davis's hand happily.

"Honey!" call Davis because Liona is silent while Kafi has extended her hand since then.

"Sorry sir, I seem to know you."

"Really Madam?"

Davis and Kenzo looked at each other. They were very curious about Liona's words.

"Aren't you Jeje's husband?"

Kenzo is surprised, why does Mommy Ree know her real mother's name?

"Me and Jeje have been separated for a long time, Madam. You knew him?"

"He was an old friend of mine when I was living in London. We met when Jeje was pregnant, and I was still in the hospital when you checked the womb. Do you remember?"

Flashbacks 31 years ago revolved around Kafi's head. During Jeje's pregnancy, they only came to the hospital once. That was when their house was fine. He remembers Jeje greeting a doctor and Jeje saying it was his friend. And it turns out that that person is Liona, his future besi.

Liona is a former Pediatrician who served in London and accidentally knew Jeje until they became good friends. Liona worked there for almost four years until she returned to Belgium and married her lover, Davis Scouth. Since Davis forbids her from working, Liona must leave her job and end up being the Big Lady of Scouth.

"I forgot a little bit, but now I'm starting to remember" Kafi replied.

"So Kenzo's my friend's son? Oh my goodness, it turns out the world is this narrow. Then where is Jeje now? Why didn't he come here?" Liona asked enthusiastically.

But unfortunately both Kafi and Kenzo look difficult to answer the question.
