My Cold Boss

My Cold Boss
Chapter 23

"Aresh, why are you alone here?" Newly arrived Yuda walked up to his son who was seen sitting pensively on the poolside chair.

"Pa, Papa's here." Aresh stood up from his seat to welcome the arrival of the father.

"Sit back down." Judah sat down near his son. "Papa was watching you, you seem to be thinking about something. What'sthat?"

Aresh shook his head while smiling forcedly. "Nothing, Pa. Aresh just feels a little less well."

"Oh, huh? Do you need Papa to call a doctor?" Judah touched his son's forehead, but it was not hot at all.

"No need, Pa."

"Maybe you just lack rest, your body is not warm at all" said Yuda.

"Arein!"

Aresh and Yuda turned their heads when they heard Naura's voice calling out. Both of them stood up from their seats as Naura approached.

"Mom" said Aresh.

"Loh, honey, it turns out you're here, Mommy was looking for you. What was? Why did you leave the party?" ask Naura.

"He was not feeling well, but he was not hot, maybe he was just tired and lacking rest" Yuda explained.

"What's? Are you sick, honey?" asked Naura in panic. All this time he felt he had taken care of his family very well, starting from a variety of healthy and nutritious foods, plus health supplements if needed, but why now his eldest son could even be sick, he said, he thought. "Where's that sick, Resh? Mommy take you to the doctor, okay?" naura touched her son's forehead. As Yuda said, his body was not hot at all.

"No, Mom, it's okay. Aresh just feels bad. A tad. Aresh's body just feels a little limp."

"Yes, then Mommy takes you to your room, yes. You just rest in the room" said Naura as she pulled her son's hand, and Aresh only complied. "Bang Yuda, go join the party, the kids' daddy's been waiting for you there since."

Arriving at Aresh's room, Naura leads her son to lie on the bed. Aresh is actually fine. He just felt upset, when he realized his feelings for Ruby, he actually even got a heavy rival. If Aska was not his sister, he would have gotten rid of her easily, in order to get the girl who was able to make his heart touched again.

"Mom," call Aresh. He stared fixedly at his mommy while leaning against the headboard of the bed.

"Yes, Honey. What's up?" naura asked after sitting next to her son.

Aresh paused for a moment before replying, "Aresh wants to ask, giving up for the sake of his loved one what does it mean, Mom?"

Naura was silent when she heard the question coming out of her son's mouth, but soon the middle-aged woman laughed.

Aresh quickly shook his head. If Aska likes Ruby, she should not tell her feelings for her mommy.

"Then why do you say that?" ask Naura again.

Not knowing what to answer, Aresh quickly lay down and pulled the blanket up to the border of his neck, then turned his back on the mother. "Forget it, Mom. Let's just say Aresh never asked that question."

Naura took a deep breath. It seemed that his son was hiding something from him. "Then rest, dear. Mommy get out first."

Next morning.

As usual, Ruby made a cup of coffee just after Aresh got to the office.

"This is the coffee, sir," Ruby said.

"Hem, thank you."

"Thank you?" said Ruby. 'Did I not hear wrong?' he added in heart. This is the first time the girl has heard Aresh thank her.

"Yes, thank you." Aresh repeated his words again and then sipped the coffee made by Ruby who was still smoky. "Your homemade coffee is always good. Looks like you're talented to be a barista" he praised with a smile at Ruby.

Ruby stood quietly flabbergasted on the spot, and after a while the girl said, "P-Sir, are you still unwell? W-Do you want me to call the driver to take you to the hospital? It seems like something is wrong with your condition."

Aresh's attitude this morning really made Ruby astonished, from who usually likes to be angry and like to treat her arbitrarily to suddenly be soft, grateful, plus talk to her while smiling. Since Ruby has been Aresh's Secretary for the past few months, this is the first time Aresh has thanked her and smiled sincerely at her. Somehow Aresh's attitude that changed 180 degrees actually made Ruby shivering.

"No need, I'm fine" said Aresh, smiling.

Ruby then walked out of Aresh's room while scratching his nape. "What's wrong with her? Did his head hit? Or maybe he took the wrong medication?"

When Ruby was sitting in her chair and back at work, she accidentally looked at Aresh from behind a glass wall. Either coincidentally or deliberately, Aresh was staring at Ruby, and again the young man threw a smile at the girl.

Ruby shuddered in horror. Aresh's smile was really very creepy in his eyes. The girl rushed to the toilet. "God. He really scares me. What's really wrong with him? Is it possible that he's still sick but forced himself to come to the office?"
