That afternoon, Mariyah met Nina to comfort her. He invited his son-in-law's grandson to lunch together. Mariyah even deliberately took her around to the shopping center to entertain Nina.
He knew that now all Nina needed was a friend who would listen to her complaints.
That was why Mariyah deliberately asked Nina to tell all her problems with the truth or dare game.
"Are you sure you'll let your husband marry Mutia?"
"Of course, grandma,"
"Why, have you given up?" ask Mariyah again
"Of course not grandma, just for now I have to do it and it is likely that I myself will propose Mutia if the Khalif still can not determine his attitude," replied Nina
"What made you do that, wouldn't you get hurt even more if you let them both get married especially if you got married yourself,"
"As an ordinary woman, of course, I don't actually want to do this. But there is also no selfishness to think only of my happiness, Grandma. Maybe this reason sounds cliche but and maybe a lot of people out there are sneering at me because I'm good-ass, or something. This time I took the decision as Independent Commissioner of Hawi Corporation, not as Nina. Where my job is to provide assurance and security to minority shareholders in order to continue to entrust their investment to our company,"
Nina then pulled out her phone and showed the group chat conversation of the stock winners.
At once Mariyah could not stem her tears seeing the sacrifice of Nina who was willing to give permission to her husband to marry Mutia in order to keep the minority shareholders to keep investing in Hawi Corporation.
.Mariyah was sobbing while tightly hugging Nina's body.
"It turns out this is the reason why Han ordered Al to marry Nina if she wanted to become the CEO of Hawi Corporation. It seems he had a premonition before his death to insist on making the will" Mariyah murmured
The next day, Mariyah invited shareholders to discuss the rumors that were becoming a hot conversation at the Hawi Corporation.
The woman deliberately apologized to shareholders about the caliph's granddaughter's caliphate until it gave rise to unsavory rumors that shook the company's stock price.
He then announced that he would remove the Caliphate and replace it with Broto. As a Khalif racer does not have enough experience to lead a company that is the reason Mariah demoted her grandson to the Board of Commissioners.
Of course Mariyah's decision was directly about by Dama and the Caliph who disagreed with her opinion.
"Did you forget that Al is a graduate of the best university in Australia majoring in business management!" exclaimed Dama when he met Mariyah at her residence
"Of course I know, but theory alone is not enough to lead a company Dama. You know if your husband is just a high school graduate, but you saw for yourself how he managed his company to become big like this. So again to be successful does not require higher education, but only requires skill and of course tenacity. While Al has neither, then... Are you going to let the kit company crumble in his hands?" answer Mariyah
"But I doubt you fired Al for that reason, I know you must have done it because you couldn't take it because Al hurt Nina. Remember Nina's mother who sought her own illness by giving Al permission to marry Mutia, even though I disagree with what Nina did but I still can't accept that mom fired Al from her post!" dama Exclamation
Meanwhile, the Caliph really couldn't contain his anger when Broto told him to take care of his belongings and leave his study.
That afternoon Khalif immediately drove his car to the grandmother's residence.
With a reddened face radiating his anger the man immediately banged on the door of Mariyah's house like a man who was about to come to his enemy.
"Why doesn't grandma just die after dad so I can live quietly. Why do you always make me feel annoyed by always defending Nina again, again and again!" khalif shouted his anger
"Then kill grandma right now if it makes you happy" Mariyah replied and then gave the Khalif a knife
"Well if it's grandma's!" khalif then received the knife. He then walked away from Mariyah. Not long after he turned his body while throwing a knife at Mariyah to make the old woman immediately widen her eyes.
*Jlebb!!!"
"Grandmother, did grandma sleep," said Nina entering Mariyah's open bedroom.
"It's worth it to be quiet, it turns out grandma's asleep,"
Nina then turned over Mariyah's sleeping body curled up so as not to feel any pain.
But how surprised he was when he saw a knife stuck in his chest.
He saw the woman covered in blood with a paled face.
Nina immediately screamed hysterically at the sight of Mariyah's death.
Nina's shout made Dama immediately run to find Nina's whereabouts.
"What's going on!" dama ran over to the girl
"Mother's grandmother, grandmother died" said Nina then sobbing
Dama was completely shocked to see Mariyah's tragic death.
She called an ambulance to take her mother-in-law to the hospital.
Several policemen arrived at the house after receiving reports from the Wiraatmadja family butler.
Police immediately installed a police line at Mariyah's residence and barred anyone from entering the premises.
Meanwhile, Khalif was so scared when he found out his grandmother died.
His face paled and he chose to lock himself in his study and did not even want to go home.
Khalif even chose to stay in the office on the grounds that he would finish his work before he handed over his position to Broto.
Seeing the strange attitude of the Caliph made Dama follow him to the office to persuade his son to go home.
"Why don't you come home when your grandmother just died. As the Wiraatmadja's only granddaughter you should know what to do when your grandmother dies. Now your father's gone and you're gonna have to preside over Grandma's funeral in his place,"
"Sorry mother I can't" replied the Caliph
"Why??" tanya Dama lowered her face to look at her son's face closer.
"It's okay, I promise I'll be at Grandma's funeral so don't worry. Please replace me for tonight only" replied Khalif as he played his fingers on his laptop keyboard
Dama smiled as if he knew what his son was hiding.
"Don't tell me you're doing all this because you're still a grudge against grandma" Dama said
"No mom, I've completely forgotten about that problem especially now that grandma's gone. So there's no way I'm still holding a grudge against him,"
"Then what's the problem, don't tell me that you killed Grandma, so you don't want to go home??" said Dama again makes the man immediately move from his seat and look nyalang towards his mother.
