The room was so quiet, so quiet for a long time. Only sobs and breath sounds were heard. Candy was crying, she was crying so bad that her eyes looked swollen and very red.

After Edward told her everything, she simply fell silent in place and stared at the crying Candy.

The man squeezed his tightly clenched fingers until his fingernails tore and injured his palms.

She held herself back as hard as she could, Edward really wanted to hug Candy's fragile body that was shaking with tears. But, he could not move and stiffly just stared at Candy.

Edward could not shake his guilt. Everything happens to Candy's life because they were involved with Edward at first. If Stella had never met Edward and tried to make the serum, she might have lived in peace with her daughter and family. He will not die horribly and Candy will be able to live quietly.

Thinking about it made Edward feel guilty and uncomfortable. Of course she's happy if Candy is happy, however, she can't let go of Candy! Edward loved her very much and would do anything to get the girl by her side. Although he knows he's selfish, Edward doesn't care as long as he can have Candy.

The silence broke as Candy wiped the tears on her cheeks, she let out a long sigh to calm herself down before trying to speak with her hoarse-sounding voice. "Don't blame yourself!"

That's the word Candy said. Edward flinched and his fist loosened. The handsome vampire moved quickly and held Candy's warm body into his arms.

"I love you!"

"I know" Candy nodded slowly and hugged Edward tightly back before saying "Edward, it's not your fault that my mother chose to make the serum, and it's also not your fault if both of my parents died in the process!"

Edward's body trembled violently, he tightened his embrace even more. Edward was unsure how to respond to Candy, knowing she would never say anything against his heart. So all Edward could do right now was just shut up and continue to hug her with his fear slowly subsiding.

Candy just rubbed Edward's back gently. He was of course sad when Edward had told him everything, he realized why his mother made the serum. He knows his mother better than anyone.

Mom loves Candy more than anything in this world, and she expects a peaceful and quiet world for her little daughter. And so when he realized that his blood could work wonders to make a World harmless, he made that decision and sacrificed himself.

Candy is sad, very sad and hurt. Everything that happens to my mom is because of her. And all the things that happened to Edward's complicated life were also because of him.

After she cried for a long time, Candy began to feel calm and re-remembered by the words in the dream she had when she met her mother.

"Mom always said to stay away from Vampires because they're Evil. But, there's one Vampire that I want Candy to keep. He is the loneliest and saddest vampire I have ever met. I hope Candy can save him from his loneliness and suffering..."

"Mom hopes Candy will live happily regardless of whatever decision you make! Live happily and not tied to the past or Mom and Dad..."

Once again tears flooded Candy's beautiful eyes. She cried sadly and hurt, her mother still thought of herself and others even in her death.

He makes a decision at that very moment, Candy will always be by Edward's side and save him. He would listen to what Edward asked for, if this man asked him to become a Vampire then he would.

Candy knows with herself being Human she will only be a burden to Edward and his family, so she needs to be strong to take care of this new family and herself.

After hugging for a long time in silence, Candy tries to push Edward's body softly and whispers "How about we go back?"

Edward stared right into Candy's amber-colored eyes, his fingers rubbing the remaining tears on his cheeks "Sorry"

"Edward-to"

"Candy, I'm sorry for making your life difficult" Edward once again interrupted Candy and continued "And forgive me for dragging you to stay with me and maybe making you take decisions you don't want to!"

Candy paused for a moment to remember what she said when she was hurt and unconscious. He says he doesn't want to be a vampire!

If Candy is allowed to vote, she does not want to be a Vampire because she does not want to hurt Edward like Austina. But right now he's choosing to change his mind not because of Edward, it's because of him.

"I want to be strong and protect you and my new family!" Candy pulled the corner of her lips to smile gently "it was all my decision not because of anyone!"

Listening to this, Edward's eyes shook lightly, he looked at the girl so precious to him as if he would never let go or let her get hurt. Edward will make her live happily, that's his promise.

A gentle kiss landed on Candy's lips, Edward nodded and smiled slightly "Let's go back, this place is dusty and dirty!"

After being upstairs, Candy looked at Edward hesitantly before opening her lips "There's someone I want to meet..."

"I'll go with you"

"Sure, but-"

Candy's words were cut off by Edward who rubbed his head "I understand, I'll be outside and not interfere"

Getting such a statement, Candy nodded slowly and started heading in the opposite direction from the direction of her room.

The two of them again walked in tandem through the many corridors and various rooms within the Castle. Until the figure Candy met was in her sight.

Without a doubt in her eyes, Candy steps closer and greets him "Uncle Arthur can we talk?"

Arthur smiled gently and replied "Of course Miss, where do you want to talk to this old man?"

Candy looked at Edward for a moment and looked back at Arthur after him "What about in the next room?"

"Good"

"Edward wait a minute, I'll be right back!" Candy smiles at Edward who nods slowly before disappearing to enter a different room with Arthur behind her.

"Uncle, I'm not a stale girl, so I'll speak frankly!" Candy starts the conversation, she sees Arthur just nodding and continues "I heard the story behind my mother's birth! And every time I see you smile, I always remember Mom, so do you-"

"I have a relationship with him!" Arthur interrupted Candy's words, he sighed and went back to saying "Young Master Edward didn't seem to tell me that, he must have wanted me to tell you in person!"

Candy slightly gasped in shock but no more, she had already started to suspect who this man before her was. But Candy still wanted to know it directly from her lips.

"Can you tell me?"

Arthur nodded slowly and began to open his voice to tell the sad and happy past in his life.

He lost his wife but he had a daughter. And at the same time he could only see the princess growing from a distance until she died.

Candy listened attentively, she came back crying but it was not the same as when she listened to the story from Edward. Candy cries because she is happy, there is at least one member out of her who is still alive and cares for her.

"Grandfather..."

Arthur's body trembled as Candy called him grandfather and looked at him with dewy eyes full of affection.

Arthur shook his head after a long sigh of "I don't deserve to be your grandfather! My Candy Miss, I'm a very bad parent and make everyone I care about suffer!"

"No," Candy shook her head firmly, she squeezed Arthur's fingers in her "Mother's hand, and I lived happily. Even until now"

"Sorry..."

"Grandfather, don't be like this!" Candy shook her head looking at Arthur who bowed her head to her "I'm happy, very happy. I even met Edward and fell in love, so please don't apologize!"

Arthur raised his head back to look at his granddaughter who looked extremely beautiful and gentle. He could not help but sigh deeply at her gaze that was so pure.

Edward who was in the next room appeared and stood on the doorstep, seeing this Candy waving at him "Ed, he's my grandfather!"

Edward nodded and walked closer. He already knew this but did not tell Candy thoroughly, he wanted the girl to speak to her grandfather herself. It seems like the decision was very appropriate.
