08 Meeting

In a large hall room with a long table at the corner, Edward's figure stands out among the others. He looked handsome with his stunning silver-colored eyes. The aura coming out from his body gave off an oppressive and unfriendly impression.

"Press your aura, you don't want to mess things up, do you?" James chuckled softly at his side, he immediately went to the meeting when Austina left him.

After being in that place, James could not not be a little amazed to see the figure of Edward.

It had been a long time since Edward really wanted to show his nose and blend in with the other Vampires. The impression that appeared in this meeting could not be to not give much surprise and a little irritation to the old Vampire.

"I heard that you just woke up, is your body okay to let out an Aura like that?"

"Oho, look at this... The old man who used to be quiet didn't care to be concerned..." James sneered at the newcomer approaching him and Edward. Not stopping there he added "Because Edward just woke up isn't it easy enough to beat him!"

The approaching Vampire man gnashed his teeth at James' words, his face turning black from restraining anger.

Looking at Edward who was still the same, expressionless and uncaring, he let out a long sigh before replying "That's right, it's very easy to stab him in the back when he's still very weak. Don't you know that very well, James?"

"Darold You!-" James glared furiously, his blue-colored eyes becoming blood red instantly. Just as he was about to pounce on the man, his steps came to a halt due to Edward's bored voice.

"Is this meeting just an event to insinuate each other?"

With a light blink James and the Vampire man looked blank and a little silly.

"Hahaha~~ You have a funny Humor taste Ed..." Another male Vampire approached the three of them laughing "Don't mind them, we better talk about business.."

"I don't have a business with you!"

"Don't be cruel like that! Didn't you come to this meeting because you wanted to know about the serum?"

Edward's countenance changed, he looked at the Vampire man with a round face and a wide forehead before him looking interested.

Seeing the change in Edward's countenance, the middle-aged man smiled. "You can call me Robert, Robert Adalson. So can we talk now?"

Edward silently did not say a word, he simply nodded in response and followed Robert who was walking in front of him.

Seeing the departure of Edward and James who followed behind along with Robert, Darold narrowed his eyes sharply. With a frown on his forehead, he moved out of place and disappeared away.

"I never said you could follow us!" The killing intent came out as Edward looked at the figure of James who had been by his side for a long time.

"Come on, aren't we friends? I won't bother you anyway! Who knew you might need my help later?!"

"I'm not your friend and I don't need you!" Edward's voice became even colder as he stared at James with a stark hostile look

"Ah, let him come! We may need his help!" Robert mediates

Edward snorted dislikely and averted his eyes no longer arguing but focused on following the figure of Robert walking ahead.

"We're here"

After walking for quite a while, they arrived at a VIP room that was heavily guarded. Robert showed his identification and got a small nod before the door opened.

Edward's silver-colored eyes stared around where he stood. The entire room looked small with a rectangular table in the middle. There were 5 figures inside who were sitting and staring back at him.

"Sit down!" Robert opened his voice and sat down on another empty chair.

Seeing the silence of Edward who just sat down, Robert turned his gaze towards another figure who was also a Vampire and re-opened his voice. "Let's start this meeting..."

"Robert are you sure you'll bring him to our side?"

"We've discussed this before and you've agreed, if you refuse now it's too late!" Robert shrugged his shoulders indifferently answering the Vampire.

"All right, let's forget about it..." The vampire let out a long sigh and continued "My name is Darien Adamson! We've here managed to salvage some data from the research done by Stella Miller..."

"How did you know about the serum research conducted by Stella Miller?" Edward cut Darien's words. He looked at the man coldly and unfriendly.

"Calm Ed!" Robert opened his voice, looking at Edward who remained unfazed and looking angry he sighed "We have a vast intelligence network! And unlike the Vampires out there who oppose the research for fear of annihilation, we support it. It's just that we're too late to save Stella and her husband.."

"You can be sure, we're not the ones behind the husband and wife's death. If it was us who did it, we wouldn't even leave pests like their daughters!" Darien added.

"If you even dared to touch the tip of her hair, I wouldn't..."

"Of course, we're not going to do it! Not that we're afraid of you for protecting her, but doing so won't affect anything! So can we continue?" Robert cut Edward's words flat.

Seeing Edward fall silent again and no longer seem angry, the meeting resumed.

"We can only save a few things, there's nothing this little data can do. So we intend to do some research back. Of course here we want you to help with a few things, like removing moles and stuff..."

In another corner of the seat, James was simply speechless observing the meeting. He could not help but open his mind with a realization. 'So the girl is. It looks like this is going to become even more interesting...'

Goddamnit! He forgot that Edward could read minds!

With a grin on his lips, he stared at Edward guiltlessly "I'm not going to do anything?!"

The meeting went well and not too long. After saying some terms and other things, Edward left the place in an instant. James also did not stay too long and disappeared.

"I don't understand why you want to make it on our side?" Darien asked Robert by his side who was closing his eyes while holding his head up on the back of the chair

"Well because he's the first Vampire and very strong. Another reason, you can see, if we manage to make that serum and Edward returns to being human, there will be nothing to stand in our way of conquering the World! All we need to be aware of is that organization.."

"Sy old fox!" Darien chuckled softly but the look on his face seemed happy with the idea given by his friend.

Elsewhere, in a magnificent and beautiful Castle. Candy's pretty figure looked bored, she stared out the window of her room with a blank look.

1 week passed and he still did not see Edward. His body had also completely recovered, and he had to return to his own room despite not wanting to.

With a long breath, Candy hugged her body softly. Either because of the loneliness of not being able to see the figure of Edward or because it is indeed the cold night air. He was unsure, what he felt was a feeling of unease and a little uneasy and cold goosebumps.

The castle is large and spacious, but somehow Candy is like listening to a little commotion under her room. With a frown on her forehead looking unconvinced, the girl gritted her teeth hard before stepping towards the living room below out of curiosity.

"Miss, you can't come to this place and make a fuss. Young Master will not be happy and angry!" Aunt Jane's voice sounded a little far away,

Candy's curiosity got bigger as she continued to move her legs the faster the sound was.

"I didn't make a fuss, all I did was say hello and wanted to make friends. Why are you treating me like I'm the bad guy here?"

Candy's footsteps stopped for a moment as she listened to the beautiful voice of the woman she had never heard before.

He became doubtful now when a thought seethed in his mind. 'Perhaps something bad happened and if he got involved, Edward would definitely get angry again later'

"Listen to me! I really just wanted to say hello. As a person who was once close to Edward didn't I have the right to meet that human?"

'The human? Close to Edward?'

This sentence echoed in Candy's mind. Sensing a slight sense of uneasiness in his heart, the girl's rationality vanished instantly. He stepped in half-running towards the living room.

"With me looking at that human, I'll look for him, is he worth it or not for Ed? If he makes a worse mistake than me then I will..."

The woman's figure came to a halt when she saw Candy standing right between the doors of the large living room where she was standing.

Amber Candy's colored eyes meet the Blue Sapphire Vampire's eyes in front of her.

He was silent and did not blink when he saw the beautiful figure of the Vampire looking back at him.

"What's this?! You're worse than I thought you were!" The figure of the Vampire gave a small snort as he stepped slowly closer to Candy.

The veil on Candy's forehead stood out as she listened to the mockery. Just because she was beautiful and then carelessly put on a bad look? Isn't that rude?

"Miss, please go!" Aunt Jane opened her voice, she stood in front of the Vampire woman to block her from approaching "Candy what are you doing here? Get back to your room!"

"Don't you feel ashamed of being protected by your parents?"

"Candy hurry back to your room!" Aunt Jane's voice rose when she saw Candy standing still in her place "Alfred.."

"I told you I hate obstructions! Why are you so annoying!"

The Vampire woman bellowed furiously as her hand waved out a sharp needle wind blade to attack the Vampire surrounding her as well as Aunt Jane.

"No, Aunt...!!!"

"Tina, what are you doing here?" Edward's magnetic cold voice rang out, the blade of the flying needle vanished instantly and became a mist

"You're back?" Austina's face wrinkled with surprise, with an awkward smile she continued "I just want to visit and say hello, it's been since the last thousand years we met. Ed I missed you!"

The look on Candy's face worsened, she looked at Edward and then the female Vampire in her arms with a hint of sourness in her heart.

"Let's talk..." Edward looked at Austina with a complicated look on her face, and he walked away without even looking at Candy "Jane is cleaning up this mess!"

"Your Young Master..."

"Look Edward, don't these shoes look pretty? I always wear it..." Austina no longer cared about Candy's whereabouts and passed following Edward's figure.

Candy's heart ached as she looked at the sight, she stared at Edward and Austina's departure with uneasiness and jealousy in her beautiful eyes.
