"So you're a widow?" asked Mr. Irawan immediately changed the look of his face. He who had originally put on a friendly face immediately looked cold. The smile that had originally expanded from the middle-aged man's lips instantly vanished.
"I-iya, Om," replied Alena looking down miserably. He could see the disappointed look on Mr. Irawan's face.
"What if she's a widow, Dad?" ask Alvin.
"It's okay, please continue talking. I want to rest first."
Mr. Irawan suddenly got up and stood up and left the two of them followed by his wife later. Alvin grabs Alena's palm, and she rubs the back of her hand gently and lovingly. His lips seemed to smile as he looked at the face of the woman he loved.
"It seems that Om Irawan does not like me, Mas," said Alena, still looking down looking sad.
"Who said? Daddy didn't say he didn't like you."
"But obviously, he didn't like it after hearing I was a widow."
"No, hon. Did you forget that my mother is also a widow? Widow or not makes no difference to me. The most important thing is that I love you as much as you do, Lena. Just like I love my mother. You two are the most precious women in the world, so never feel inferior just because you hold the status of a widow."
"A woman being a widow is not an option, but because of circumstances. One thing is for sure, all this is destiny, you are already in destiny for me, even though you have to be with other men before you meet me. Understand what I'm saying?" obviously Alvin at length.
Alena nodded her head then turned her head and looked at Alvin's face later. And a sweet smile she showed. Honestly, what this lover had just said really made his heart feel calm.
"Thank you for saying this, I believe in destiny and I also believe that it is destiny that has brought us together" Alena replied in relief.
.
After driving Alena home, Alvin returned to his residence. He seemed to be walking towards the room about to enter it. However, the man immediately stopped his footsteps when he heard the voice of the father calling his name with a loud tone of voice.
"Alvin! Daddy wants to talk to you," said the father walking over.
"Daddy doesn't like your boyfriend, better find another woman. Or, follow your Mommy's advice to find a suitable woman for you to marry!" The father was full of emphasis.
"Is it because she's a widow?"
"Father, the age of 24 years has become a widow with 2 children? That means he got married at the age of 18. Don't let that Alena get pregnant first."
Alvin's two hands immediately clenched to hold back the growl. The 32-year-old man's jaw was hardened feeling not accepted by what his father had just said. All of that sounded like an insult and he felt he did not accept the woman he loved in such humiliation.
"Daddy forgot that my birth mother is also a widow? Is being a widow a choice? Neither Alena nor mother wanted to be a widow. They just made a mistake because they married the wrong man" Alvin said.
"This has nothing to do with your mother, Alvin. Alena and your mother 2 different people!"
"What difference? They are widows!"
"Just Daddy doesn't like Alena that much, period."
"I'll never break Alena, either, period! If Daddy still refuses to let Alena be Daddy's daughter-in-law, then I'll go home. I get enough blessing from him, kasian mother lives alone in the village. I thought of accompanying mom and staying with her." Firmly Alvin, open the door of the room and then enter into it later.
Mr. Irawan immediately silently stared. He could not have let the son live with his ex-wife.
"Basically stubborn. What do you have to do to make sure you listen to Daddy just once?" mumbled Mr. Irawan looks disappointed.
