The noise in the kitchen made Rania open her eyes despite still being very sleepy.
"Mas.." Her hand looked for the whereabouts of her husband who was no longer beside her.
"Mas!"
"What are you doing in the bathroom?" Rania knocked on the bathroom door. Feeling no answer, she opened the door and her eyes did not find her husband.
The clock shows at eight in the morning. Apparently Rania woke up late, somehow she felt too tired yesterday after accompanying Riana around the mall.
"What's in the kitchen time ya mas Dimas!." Rania grabs the sweeter and wears it to hide the evening dress she wears as it is very revealing in certain parts.
"Mass?"
"Mrs!" Greet a middle-aged woman.
"Who's mother?"
"I am Aminah, the new maid of the mistress." Answer while bowing your head.
"Bik Aminah, maid?"
"Yes lady. Mr. Dimas said I could start working today from six in the morning to seven in the evening."
Rania nodded in understanding. Then again his eyes tried to find the whereabouts of Dimas who was not also seen.
"Where is my husband, bik?"
"Master has already left for work."
"Whose way?" Tanya Rania hesitated.
"Alone madam. What's wrong, madam?"
Rania shakes. "It's okay. Just continue with the job, bik."
Rania stepped towards Riana's room. The door was opened several times but there was no answer.
"Miss Riana has also left for work!" Aminah cried from the kitchen.
"Is aunt sure they didn't go together?"
"No madam. Miss Riana was picked up by her friend."
Again Rania nodded in understanding. Then he went back to his room.
"Why I parnoan gini yes. It's suspicious of Dimas." Putting his body back on the bed.
"But what I saw at the restaurant yesterday was true. Unfortunately I can't hear what they're talking about." Curiously annoyed.
Her tongue grabbed the phone that was on the nightstand. "I have to start working again, so that my mind does not continue to rule over me."
Rania contacted someone who was her friend when she was working first.
"Correct?"
"Yes, I'm going to the office right now."
"OK, say. Thank you." - Thank you."
After the call ended, Rania immediately prepared for the office where she worked first.
When she arrived there, Rania was warmly welcomed by all her co-workers who still remained as friendly as ever.
"Welcome back, say. Gi la, I'm so glad to know when the boss said you'd be back here." Gita is happy to be back in the same office with Rania. The Gita is the same as the Princess, very caring and affectionate with Rania, even though they only meet when in the office.
"Welcome back, Rania." Sapa Wawan, a silent man likes Rania even though he knows Rania is married.
"Thank you, Wan." Rania.
In this office, all editors can talk informally and casually. Except for being in a meeting and being with contract writers on their web novels.
"Say, our boss isn't Mr. Rudi anymore." Gita Whisper.
"O yeah? Where is Rudi sir?"
"Pak Rudi married a Balinese girl and ended up moving to Bali. He said he's there managing his wife's family business."
Rania nodded in understanding, then she sat back comfortably in her chair. The chairs and tables he had left behind were now back at him.
"Happy, say?"
"Mk."
"I'm really happy too."
They really wanted to keep chatting, but before that happened, someone came to their table when they realized.
"Yes!" Rania turned her head towards the source of the voice that said her name.
"I received you back here not to gossip but to re-examine the novel the author sent and send it on time."
"Yes, boss. I will work hard and do my best to keep writers happy and keep writing until the story they share is over."
Gita looked down in fear, as did some of the other editors. They were worried that Rania would be fired immediately, because their new boss did not like the employee who answered while he was giving a reprimand.
"Gita, didn't you tell Rania about the rules here?"
Gita shook her head without daring to look at her boss's face which was so red smoldering that it held back the emotion to immediately curse Rania who bravely replied when she got a reprimand on her first day of work.
"Rania, you're in my room right now." Step back into his study.
"Say, are there any new rules?"
"I'm sorry I forgot to tell you."
"What rules?"
"Never answer when the boss is reprimanding you. Just be quiet, don't answer or give any reason."
"Huh?"
"Yes say. You might get fired for breaking those rules." Gita is concerned about Rania's fate on her first day of work.
"Weird rules. Take it easy, say. I'm not gonna let him fire me the first day I get back to this place."
Rania is fearless, she finds it challenging to argue with her new boss.
"Right now my mood and mind are in turmoil, how dare he rebuke me! Huh, I'm not afraid." Rania Gumam.
He casually stepped towards the new boss's study.
Geck, tok…
After knocking, Rania went straight in even though there was no order to enter. Again Rania pissed off the boss.
"You have no manners!"
"What does boss mean?"
"You entered my room before I gave you permission to enter. That's called no manners." Imperu annoyed.
Rania's forehead shriveled, her emotions rose and blood vessels seemed to be about to burst out while holding back the emotional overflow within her.
"Didn't you just now, the boss asked me to come to
this beautiful room, right?"
Bruck…
A novel was thrown in front of Rania. The novel just fell on the floor. The eyes of the two of them were looking at each other for the first time.
Rania stared in anger and could hide that feeling again. The only thing that Rania hated the most, was when one did not appreciate the work of others. Now the book is on the floor in a mess. What a great humiliation according to Rania.
"You may be the boss here." Rania crouched down to take the novel.
"You have power and rules here, but…"
"You don't have the right to throw your hard-earned work in writing and on this neat cover like shit." Murmured Rania wrathfully.
Meanwhile, his boss just kept silent and kept staring at Rania's face.
"Rey. A first author and owner of the web novel." Shows the name of the author of the novel to his boss who still looks at his face.
"Reinaldo Aditama." Said her boss, then stopped her eyes from looking at Rania's face.
"Huh?"
"Writer of the novel, Reinaldo Aditama. The name of Rey. A. It was his first work when he started making the web officially copyrighted."
"Then why would the boss just throw it like trash?"
"Like me, Rania.
"I heard you never even read the novel." He muttered in a more relaxed voice
Rania fell silent. His boss was right, the only novel he had never read was the one now in his hands.
"Read the novel, then give a conclusion that can change my mind to be able to re-show the novel in its place."
Rania's eyes blinked repeatedly as she had to accept the novel's offer. A novel that he was afraid to read. For some reason, since long ago until now, Rania still did not dare to read the novel entitled 'Dissociative identity disorder (DID).'
The novel tells the story of a boy with multiple personalities, as a result of a trauma he experienced during childhood. Rania, who felt she had the disease, was afraid to read it.
