Chapter 8: The Hard Decision
The treatment room in the hospital became a place of tension. Nari sits on the bed with an anxious look, while V and the investigation team are led by Dr. Kang Minho was around him.
The doctor explained the situation to them. "Today, the side effects of Life Artifacts can seriously impact your body. To save your life, the only option is to return V to the comic world."
V approached Nari and held her hand gently. "Today, I don't want to lose you, but I also don't want to harm you further."
Nari cried softly, feeling the weight of the decision that was on her shoulders. She loves V very much, but she also knows that her deteriorating health cannot be ignored.
Dr. Kang Minho raised a suggestion, "I will arrange everything. We'll go back to where the artifact was found and try to activate it again to return V to the comics."
They all agreed, albeit with heavy hearts. Their plan is to try to repeat the process that brought V into the real world. That was the last thing they could take.
That night, at the location of the artifact, they gathered. Nari sits in the middle of a circle made by Dr. Kang Minho and his team. They started chanting the spells needed to activate the artifact.
Suddenly, a bright light filled the room, and Nari felt herself being lifted into the air. He sees V who is beside him disappearing, returning to the comic world.
Nari was in pain, her body felt weak. He woke up in the hospital, but this was the real world. The doctor smiled with relief when he saw Nari was conscious.
"Congratulations, miss. You've returned safely."
Nari was crying happily, however, she also felt a deep loss because of V.
In the comic world, V wakes up in the middle of a story that continues unabated. He knows that the only way to remember Nari is through her work in comics.
They both had to face this harsh reality. But they also know that their love will always be eternal, regardless of which world they occupy.
On the other hand, V continues to live his life in the comic world. However, he also felt a void within him. Even in the stories he experienced in the comics, nothing could replace his feelings for Nari.
One day, Nari and V unexpectedly meet again in a very unlikely place. The two of them were taking a walk in the same city park that had once witnessed their story.
As their eyes met, Nari felt her heartbeat thump. V smiled warmly, like rediscovering a lost part of himself.
"Let's go, I miss you" V said in a soft voice.
Nari could only cry and hug her tightly. They know that their happiness is with each other. No matter being in the real world or in the comics, their love will always be united.
Episode 8 ends with the two of them walking together under the sunset, their hands clasped tightly together. They realize that maybe destiny has separated them for a while, but eventually, their strong love will bring them back together.
Meanwhile, in the comic world, V's story continues, and Nari will always be on every page, inspiring her work, and creating their eternal love story that will be remembered forever.
