Calvin's Request

Once he is in his apartment, Boo Young begins to think about who Calvin really is? Which makes him wonder, why his son Avril is similar to him. That makes Boo Young stop thinking about who Calvin is.

"How can Avril's son look like me? Is he my son? But it's impossible, Notya Avril has aborted her birth." Inner Boo Young started to unsettle.

That night Boo Young really couldn't sleep thinking about who Calvin really was. Several times he opened social media owned by Avril, looking at the face of Calvin who was so similar to him as a child. She searched for pictures of her husband Avril, but she found none.

Boo Young is convinced that Calvin is his son. First, Calvin was very similar to her, second, he did not see Avril actually aborting her womb or not. It's impossible if Calvin's son Avril is with another man. Calvin is similar to Boo Young.

Thinking about it made Boo Young almost go crazy. His mind kept circling around thinking about who Calvin really was until he felt exhausted and fell asleep.

That morning a sense of laziness approached Boo Young, not as usual who was always excited when it came to work. He moved his body to reduce his laziness.

Forced he had to wake up from his sleep, because later at 10 there was a meeting with important partner from a large company. Before going to Manda's room, Boo Young sat on the edge of the bed. When his consciousness returned to normal, he walked to the bathroom.

As usual before he washed his face, he first stretch his muscles and massage the eyes as a daily routine. So that the muscles are not stiff.

When he looked in the mirror, suddenly Calvin's reflection came to his mind and he stopped his activities for a moment and looked at his face in the mirror of the sink.

"Why does that kid always come into my mind?" Boo Young asked himself.

In a hurry he came out of the bathroom and changed his clothes. When he came out of his room, the assistant was already in the kitchen preparing his breakfast for him.

"Sorry boss, breakfast is not ready!" Said the assistant while making an egg omelette.

Usually Boo Young out of his room at 7:00 but, that morning he came out at 6:00 so the assistant had not had time to prepare breakfast for him. Usually if breakfast late, Boo Young likes to get angry and put out words that are not heard by the ear to his assistant. But that morning Boo Young did not care and just left.

That morning Avril was busy making breakfast for Eun Soo and Calvin. At that time, he was cooking Indonesian cuisine. Because Eun Soo has not eaten Indonesian food for a long time.

Eun Soo and Calvin sit on the dining table chair, while waiting for an egg omelette for a friend to eat fried rice.

"When does Aunty want to accompany Calvin to find papa?" Calvin asked for a promise.

"Honey, Aunty's coming to work today, if Aunty has time for sure Aunty's coming." Eun Soo replied with reason.

With a disappointing response, Calvin ran to his room without saying anything. Calvin was disappointed, because his aunt did not keep her promise. Though Calvin had hoped much for his aunt, he really wanted to see his father soon.

"Eun Soo, we can't lie to her like this all the time. See, Calvin must be disappointed right now. What do we do?" Avril said that he understood Calvin's nature.

The doorbell rings..

Eun Soo looks at the CCTV screen and sees Boo Young standing at the door. Although astonished by Boo Young's arrival, Eun Soo thoughtlessly opened the door for her.

"Why are you here?" Eun Soo asked in surprise.

"There's something I want to say to Avril!"Boo Young replied coldly.

Without being allowed to enter, Boo Young immediately broke through and approached Avril. Not only did Boo Young say a word to Avril, Calvin suddenly came out of his room and called Boo Young 'Papa'.

Calvin thought Boo Young was the father he wanted to look for all along. Perhaps also because there is an inner bond between them, Boo Young also feels that Calvin is his son. Not only from the physical Calvin, but from the way he walked also has similarities with Boo Young.

"Please, pretend to be his dad. Because her father left her for another woman." Eun Soo whispered.

Eun Soo confuses Boo Young, as Eun Soo says that her father Calvin left her. That means Calvin has a Father and Boo Young is not Calvin's biological father. That was what was on Boo Young's mind back then.

"Papa, why haven't you come to see Calvin all this time. Papa knows, I made you a classic miniature car. Because mama said papa likes Classic cars." Calvin said as he ran to his room to pick up a miniature car he had made himself.

Boo Young stood expressionless like a fool who did not know what to do. For some reason, Boo Young suddenly knelt in front of Calvin and pretended to be his father.

"Waaahhh.. papa's son is great! Forgive me dear papa, because papa did not have time to come to Indonesia. Papa's very busy taking care of the company." Boo Young looks at a miniature car made by Calvin.

"Let's just calm Pa, now there's Calvin who will help Papa take care of the company." Calvin continued to hug the man.

Avril did not know what to say, seeing Calvin's smile made her unable to say that Boo Young was not her father. Boo Young's response was kind to Calvin, making Avril choose silence. So does Eun Soo who just silently watched them.

Then Avril prepared a breakfast meal for the man, Calvin's favorite Indonesian fried rice dish and the man sat on the dining table chair with Calvin.

"You haven't had breakfast yet, please have breakfast." Tell Avril to Boo Young while giving her a spoon.

"Feel mama the best loh Pa! Papa has to finish this fried rice, so Mama doesn't get mad." Calvin praised his mother's cooking.

Boo Young simply smiled and started putting a spoonful of fried rice into his mouth. Because it was delicious, Boo Young also devoured the fried rice until it ran out.

After finishing breakfast, Calvin invites Boo Young to go into his room and show him something he made time in Indonesia.

"Papa, I painted Papa's face... Although I have never seen Pap, Papa always comes in my dreams. Because I don't want to forget Papa's face, so I painted Papa's face in this book." Calvin said he showed me his painting.

Boo Young is shocked to see Calvin's painting. The man Calvin painted really resembled him. Calvin admits that he has never seen his father's face.

"But how can this painting be similar to Papa, whereas Calvin has never met Papa?" Boo Young asked curiously.

"Kan Calvin said, Papa always comes in Calvin's dreams." Calvin answered with a smile.

"Did mom ever tell you who Papa was or show you a picture of Papa?" Ask Boo Young who is getting curious.

"No, Mama never showed me a picture of Papa. It's just that mama told me about papa, that papa is a handsome and also kind person who lives in Korea." Calvin answered honestly.

Boo Young is convinced that Calvin is her son. The picture is one proof that Calvin met Boo Young in his dream.

When Boo Young was daydreaming about who his father was Calvin, Avril suddenly walked into the room without knocking on the door.

"Sorry, Eun Soo wants to talk to you. Let me accompany Calvin to play." Avril said politely.

"Calvin baby, papa's out for a second. You played with Mama first." Pamit Boo Young stroked Calvin's hair.

And Calvin nodded in agreement, and he entered the painting into the suitcase so that the mother would not see who was in the book.
