MY LOVELY, SAHARA

MY LOVELY, SAHARA
Chapter 10 - Sagara's arrival to the orphanage

Maak Asih brought a tray to the living room, a typical village snack and two warm teas for the parlor guests who in terms of appearance look like rich people.

"Please," said Mbak Asih then left, because he did not want to know what Arimbi and guests were talking about.

"Thank you" replied Lendra and Sagara simultaneously.

"Ar, how can it be? How can you be the owner of this home?" sagara asked in disbelief. He knew exactly that the woman before him right now was Kinara's best friend back then.

"You know each other?" tanya Lendra is embraced by Sagara.

"Friends of my late wife" cried Sagara.

Lendra nodded, "yes, sir!"

"I lost my wife, at the same time my son was missing. The hospital said someone took my son away even with Kinara's consent, as I searched for traces of cctv while it was under repair. Whether this was all Kinara's plan or not was clear at that time I was just focused on crying over her departure, I haven't even had time to give happy in our marriage years without love."

Deg.

Arimbi's heart skipped a beat, he felt de ja vu heard Sagara's story.

"You said without love, but why would Kinara get pregnant?" cynical Arimbi.

"You know, too, Ar! You know exactly Kinara I buried myself with my hands?" the middle-aged man trembled.

Arimbi justifies his hijab to expel awkwardness as well as nervousness, whether misunderstanding what happened between Kinara and Sagara is clear Arimbi think something is wrong from the beginning.

"Are you cheating?" asked Arimbi, sighing for a moment.

"Kinara often sees you with a woman and a boy around the office. Maybe you're misunderstanding" Arimbi murmured. He did not know exactly because Kinara did not share all of his stories in detail with Arimbi.

"Huh?" Sagara fiddled, he indeed avoided Kinara by busying himself in the office. He even always said harsh words to Kinara, especially when Kinara continued to accuse him of cheating, but he was not a breng sek man who would betray marriage just like that. Although Sagara's heart at that time was still embedded Kinanti name.

"Ck! Quintessence. The woman was Kinanti," he muttered lowered his head.

"But I swear to God I never cheated, he-he's Kinanti's husband!" point Sagara at Lendra.

Lendra's stuck, "Sir, so you guys?"

"My ex-lover's daughter," replied Sagara flatly. "But that was long before we got married" he continued. That certainly makes Lendra shocked, how could he not know that?

Arimbi anxiously stared at the clock on the wall that kept going, what if Sagara saw the Sahara. Whether the man will be angry with him, Arimbi is not ready, however he does not want to lose the Sahara so soon.

Let's say Arimbi is selfish, he loves the Sahara more than his own flesh and blood, and that also makes it hard to remove the Sahara.

It is not impossible that Sagara does not recognize his daughter, they are very similar because the face of the Sahara tends to lean more towards his papa.

"Alright, Ar! My arrival here wasn't for that, but for this." Sagara takes out a brown envelope from inside his jass, then thrusts it in front of Arimbi.

"What is this, Sagara?" tanyakanya.

Lendra was also surprised, especially what his Boss issued was not kidding.

"Just a little, hopefully help. Next time I'll come back if I know you're the owner. Actually, this is also at someone's request..."

"Excuse me, package!" exclaim courier.

Arimbi rushed up, he frowned because he did not feel ordered anything.

"Who are you from, Mom?"

"This, the sender is Ibu Kinanti, Semarang." The parcel owner read the name.

Sagara and Lendra looked at each other, then came out. One package is large and one package is small for the Sahara.

"From your wife?" ask Sagara.

Then look at Sagara, "who asked you to donate here?" ask Lendra.

"Cakra," he murmured.

Though Lendra had just taken the initiative to help the donation, but it seems now impressed to swallow his own saliva.

Though every time Kinanti went to the orphanage, she was always angry, she always said rudely and did not want to understand. Now even when Lendra no longer gives monthly rations, the woman still sets aside her provision for others. Lendra was even more sorry about it.

After being silent for a while and returning to enter, they ate snacks and drinks provided by Mbak Asih then resigned. Arimbi breathed a sigh of relief because the Sahara had not yet returned to school.

"I'm saying goodbye, Ar!" exciting Sagara.

Arimbi kept quiet, then nodded.

"Thank you very much, Sagara! And be careful," cried Arimbi. To be honest, he felt guilty about the man. However, to tell the truth Arimbi was still very reluctant.

Deg.

Sagara gets in the car with Lendra, along with Sahara coming home from school.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Ma? Who was that?" sahara asked, seeing the white SUV car leaving the courtyard of the parlour.

"Goddessalam, Sahara! Thank you for the new donor of our home" he exclaimed.

"Let's go in, we open the package from Bu Kinanti," asked Arimbi.

Sahara nodded, she went into the room. Where her room was shared with Nana and Shla, the two-story bed actually fit four people. It's just that Arimbi couldn't possibly let his little foster children be with them.

After putting the bag down and changing his clothes, Sahara came out to Arimbi.

"Why, Mom?" ask Sahara.

"No, this is a lot." Point it at the contents of a brown envelope containing a red wad of money.

"From who?"

Arimbi silenced, he instead diverted the conversation, "there is a package for you, from Bu Kinan. Small as precious things."

Sahara nodded, she opened her package while Arimbi asked Mbak Asih to bring goods from Bu Kinanti to the kitchen.

One by one Sahar opened the layers that wrapped the rectangular box. Curious about the contents, but stunned when he managed to open the contents of the package.

"Mobile?" mumbling slowly.

Tucked in a small piece of paper, Cakra did leave a short message. Not a young love letter, just a word from the paper that Cakra asked from the keeper of the booth.

"What's it say?" ask Arimbi.

"Mobile, Mom!" answer Sahara tried to hide the small paper and put it in her pants pocket immediately so as not to be caught by Arimbi if the item was from Cakra.

"Rezeki you, Bu Kinanti is very dear to you," cried Arimbi as he rubbed the Sahara's shoulder.

"But it's expensive, ma'am, Sahara doesn't taste good."

Arimbi smiled wryly, "Bu Kinan must be sincere in giving that to you, dear!"

Sahara nodded, she tried to tinker at the phone and sure enough, there was already a Cakra number in it. There are even some blue green pink apps installed there.

"Why you should take gini anyway, Cakra!" inner Sahara.

Sahara wondered what was the contents of the paper she was trying to hide.
