83. Women Talk

In the afternoon, Karen stopped by the halfway house. I don't know what kind of wind made her want to meet Lana and Asa.

After a week of poring over the story of Inda's love struggle, she wants to hear the story of Lana with Nathan, and Asa with Dion.

Although he had heard stories about Lana and Nathan from Inda, he still wanted to hear from the source directly.

She arrived at the halfway house to be greeted by gymnastics of young pregnant mothers (residents of halfway houses).

"Well, yeah." Karen was amazed to see those mothers in the hall of the main hall.

"Every Saturday is like this, Ren," explained Lana while holding Althan.

"Mbak Asa does not participate in gymnastics, Ma'am?"

"No, again lemes," replied Asa while sitting near Karen.

They sat on the floor covered in carpet while watching television, although the sound was not heard because it was covered in gymnastic music.

Not long after, the gymnastics was done.

"Why are you, Ren, how did you grow here yourself? Don't bring a vehicle anyway" asked Lana.

"It's okay, I'd like to find some friends."

Asa and Lana looked at each other. They know if a woman is acting unusual it indicates that something is wrong.

Karen looked at Asa's large belly. He also looked at Lana who was holding Althan while playing with baby toys.

Asa and Lana's faces were always bright without big eyes from crying. It signifies they are always happy, Karen thought.

"I envy you guys. You are in complete harmony with each other's husbands. I guess there was never a problem."

Suddenly Asa and Lana laughed.

"That just looks like it. We also make a lot of noise, Ren," Asa explained.

Asa and Lana then recount their respective struggles.

Asa and Dion are always being harassed by parents because they have not had a baby for years. Asa even asked for divorce because she could not stand it. However, eventually they reunite and try together to get offspring. It was only in the 10th year of their marriage that Asa became pregnant.

Lana recounts how she was once expelled and fired from work for being pregnant without a husband. She was pregnant before she married Nathan. He was confused where he would live and work. But then Nathan found him. They also married.

Karen smiled at the story of the two of them.

Lana and Asa looked again.

Karen tells the story of Daniel's illness to Lana and Asa. He also complained that he had to fight on his own to heal Daniel.

Nathan and Dion were sitting on the couch behind them holding their phones.

Karen continued her story. "Now we haven't stayed together for a week."

"Huh?" Lana and Asa were shocked.

Nathan and Dion behind them were also shocked but shut their mouths to avoid screaming.

"Can we separate the house? Where does he live now?" ask Lana.

"He lives in his parents' house. We're being punished with my mother-in-law."

Lana and Asa are still gawking. In their minds, they wonder why they can be punished? And why did Daniel's parents interfere so much that they punished the couple.

Karen read that from the faces of Lana and Asa. But it is impossible to tell everything openly about the marriage contract.

"But you guys still love each other, right?" ask Lana.

For the next time Asa and Lana were shocked.

So did Dion and Nathan on the back sofa. Nathan pulls Dion out of the room through a door near the sofa.

Dion searched Daniel's phone number and called him.

📞"Hello."

📞"Hey gobl*k, uh sorry, hilarious because Nathan said gobl*k. Heh, you're a little bored ya diemin wife of a week."

📞"He no longer wants to be disturbed."

📞"It's not so. If a woman says that it needs to be persuaded, seduced, it just needs attention. Yes I understand you are not shrewd in such affairs because of your illness but now the time has changed, do not let Karen fight alone."

Nathan took Dion's cell phone.

They went in and sat back on the couch.

Lana, Asa and Karen are still continuing their story.

Dion saw in Daniel's hand a small rose. In the other hand he carried an anime doll.

"Jeez, you want to woo her with this?" Dion pointed at the yellow-haired anime doll.

Daniel nodded.

"Akh, yes, the important thing is there are flowers. Let's go in." Dion and Nathan lead Daniel in. "Hey Ren, look who came!"

"Mr.Daniel Stark came, Ren!" shouted Nathan.

"Da-Daniel?" Karen surprised.

Karen saw the two items that Daniel brought and sparkled to see the anime doll in Daniel's hand.

"Well, Hiruma Yoichi!" cry Karen while taking the doll out of Daniel's hands.

Asa, Lana, Dion and Nathan just quietly look at him.

"Not to be surprised, they do have their own world, Bro," Nathan said.

Asa approached Daniel and asked for the idle flower. "This is more than idle, can I?"

Daniel nodded.

Dion gave the code for the others to leave Karen and Daniel. They need privacy to talk.

Because the hall was still crowded, Daniel took Karen to the back garden. They sit in the garden chairs.

"I didn't know there was a garden behind me." Karen was amazed at what she saw at this moment.

Daniel also looked at her. That afternoon the sunlight began to dim so it did not feel hot in the park.

They both fell silent. Karen was busy looking at the doll in her hand.

"I have a question" Daniel said.

Karen turned her head slowly like a video that was given a slow motion effect. "You've taken your medicine? He said you don't want to keep taking medicine?"

"I don't care. What matters is that I can talk to you."
