Today is my first day of the semester, more precisely the preparation to face various exams ranging from USBNK trials or UNBK trials to even National exams that I will face in the next few months.
Cring.. Cring.. Cring..
The school bell reads as a sign for students to immediately head to the mosque together performing dhuha prayers and teaching. Understand that the school where I studied is within the Islamic sphere. So all students are required to obey school rules, especially regulations when worshiping. This is my habit in the morning of school. Highly emphasizing ethics and akhlaq students.
I immediately put the motorbike I used to school in the parking lot that the school had provided and immediately headed to the mosque. I suspect the teacher's board is already in the mosque preparing to perform dhuha prayers. And all the students are performing the dhuha prayer together.
When I arrived at the mosque I took off my shoes and met the teacher absent first because the clock had shown at 07:05 which means five minutes late to the mosque.
For students who are late of course there are points from school and also punishment push ups for male students and squat jumps for women.
I carry out the punishment according to the school rules. I immediately took whudlu water and put on a mukena and performed dhuha prayers as well as listening to a seven-minute lecture or commonly called a cultum from the teacher's board.
There is a pretty interesting message from the seven-minute lecture delivered by Ustadz Hasan this time.
“To be successful, you must have a greater will of success than the fear of failure.”
Yes, it is true that one's success will be achieved if one has a very strong will. Ustadz hasan is always very good motivation when filling seven minutes of college or when in class. His relaxed and humorous carrying while teaching becomes a plus point so that students can easily get close and share stories with him.
After seven minutes of lectures and prayers together alternately students shake hands with the board of teachers and immediately go to their respective groups in the deposit of memorization of the Qur'an or hanay just teach together. With a large number of students is not possible if the teaching salary is only two or three people. But all teachers participate in this teaching process.
Each teacher is assigned to ten to fifteen students in one group, surely every semester there is a memorization target that must be taken, he said, if you do not memorize the risk is that the report will not be shared after the Final Examination Semester.
This time I only deposit one short letter in juz thirty which is Surah Ath-Thaariq or means Who Comes at Night. Understandably because the rote target in this even semester is at least one juz which is thirty juz.
....
Classes will begin soon, all students enter their respective classrooms. I went to the teacher's room to see Ustadz Hasan because today is the schedule of the subjects from Ustadz Hasan.
"Assalamualaikum," My greeting while I was in front of the teacher's room.
"Waalaikumussalam," answered the entire board of teachers simultaneously.
"Mbak Ana please come in, ask for help this task today immediately completed and collected at my table." Ustadz Hasan's command while giving a paper containing the task of today.
"Okay Ustadz, thank you." I received the paper and immediately headed to the classroom.
"Mom Ana!" Call Ustadz Hasan back.
"Yes Ustadz, what's wrong?" ask me and get closer to Ustadz Hasan.
"After you give this assignment to friends, you meet me in the Counseling Guidance room."
"Yes Ustadz."
I immediately headed to the classroom, but I was confused as to why Ustadz Hasan asked me to meet him in the Counseling Room. Is it because I have a problem or because I was late this morning.
"Ahhhhh... I don't know" I muttered to myself what Ustadz Hasan was going to talk about. Given Ustadz Hasan is very rare as serious as this to his students.
....
"Assalamualaikum Ustadz," I knocked on the door of the Counseling Guidance room where Ustadz Hasan and Ms. Nia were waiting for my arrival.
"Waalaikumussalam" replied Ustadz Hasan.
"Waalaikumussalam, please sit down first mbak I still finish the task first for a while." Replied Ms. Nia who was in front of the computer and seemed to be busy with tasks that must be completed immediately.
"Good ma'am,"
My hands and feet trembled with a cold hot body as this was the first time I was confronted by two teachers at once. Moreover, one is a homeroom teacher and one is counseling guidance teacher.
Nervousness and worry did not decrease at all as long as I stayed in the counseling guidance room. Although I am used to dealing with Ustadz Hasan, but different stories when dealing with him in the counseling room.
"Have you delivered the assignment?" Tanya Ustadz Hasan broke my daydreams and bad thoughts.
"Ustadz."
"Why were you so late?"
Grn, deg, deg. The heartbeat suddenly became irregular upon hearing this question. Instantly my body sweat flowed when the fan in the room was enough as a cooler.
"I. yes Ustadz was there an obstacle at home so I went to school misfortune." I answered with a stammer.
"Owch next time if it's late permission to me, can go through WhatsApp is okay. What points did you get?" Ustadz Hasan.
"Yes Ustadz, get three points."
I calmly heard the statement from Ustadz Hasan. That's the rule at this school just late getting three points. If it has reached fifty points then get a warning letter of one. If it has been seventy points the second warning letter. And if it gets ninety points then the third warning. Especially if you have earned a hundred points then there is no more apology than to be expelled from school or points closed before the report division, then the next semester points will return from zero.
I still sat quietly in the counseling room because I had not been allowed to go back to class and continue the lesson.
"So soon" said Nia's mother.
"Yes ma'am," At that time I thought there would be something else discussed by Nia's mother. It must have been so important that I was called to the counseling room.
After waiting for a few minutes, Nia's mother turned off her computer and headed to the empty seat by the window.
"How can Ustadz begin?" Ask Nia's mother to Ustadz Hasan.
"Yes, please you can start."
I was getting trembling and it was cold to hear that Mother Nia and Ustadz Hasan were about to start a conversation.
"Don't tremble, just relax." Mother Nia held my hand and tried to calm me down.
"I. yes, ma'am." I tried to calm down and smile at Mother Nia and Ustadz Hasan.
