The dining table was so quiet. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their dinner reluctantly.
"Eat a lot. You need a lot of nutrition for our child!," Salsa turned to Azka. Our son said to warm his heart, at least his son will have a complete parent even though he himself does not know what the household will be like in the future.
But the guilt certainly does not disappear just like that after the debate that occurred last afternoon. Although he did not see the debate between the father-in-law and his ex-made, but the voice of Danar was able to make him sure, if the man's speech was not kidding. It made Salsa feel guilty towards Azka as well. Can they live quietly if he knows there will be many obstacles that block his household in the future.
"Don't think too much, Sal. Azka's problem with Salwa is over. All you need to think about is keeping the child in your womb healthy until he's born" the father-in-law said like a cool breeze. The man seemed to know that he was agitated.
"All will be well!" said Gita. Salsa smiled faintly, she also hoped so.
Salsa was grateful that all members of the Azka family received it with open arms. It turned out that not all rich people were like his shadow looking at people with one eye.
After dinner, Azka takes her to her room. The two walked awkwardly.
"Would you stay at the door until when?" Azka's question broke Salsa's daydream. The woman followed her husband into the room. Azka walks towards the closet and then picks up a change of clothes.
"This is a dress for you, Mother who bought it. Replace it with this shirt to make your sleep comfortable!," Azka gave Salsa sleeping pajamas.
"Thank you."
The 26-year-old went straight to the bathroom to get changed. Salsa came out in her pajamas she was wearing. He glanced at Azka who looked busy with her phone. I don't know what the man saw, which is clear, Azka looked so serious.
"Where are you going?" asked Azka who saw Salsa pick up a pillow and a blanket.
"Sleep on the couch!."
Azka frowned, "You want to sleep in a sofa? Why?."
"The bed is yours!."
"Then?."
"I'll just sleep on the couch!."
Azka stood up and walked towards Salsa. He took a pillow and a blanket from his wife's hand. "You're my wife, not my assistant. So you sleep in bed with me!."
"I don't want to!."
"You're afraid of me?" Salsa's silence made Azka understand what her wife was feeling. Perhaps Saga's words were correct, the woman was traumatized after the incident that night.
Azka carried Salsa in her arms. This made Salsa freeze instantly. Wanting to feel he refused, but unfortunately Salsa even liked Azka's embrace. The smell of the man's body was so soothing and it felt like he was lingering in the arms of his husband.
"Listen to me, Sal. We're already married. And now you are my wife. Regardless of how we got married. I have never and do not want to play with marriage. I want to be like a father and mother who love each other until old age. Having children even up to grandchildren. I know, you don't have any feelings for me yet, neither do I. But I want you to accept me as your husband. Learn to accept each other and build a happy household. We'll get through it all together, no matter what. And I hope, you will always support me in times of joy and sorrow!," said Azka seriously.
Salsa took off her husband's embrace, she looked at Azka's eyes that exuded honesty.
"I don't want to play with marriage either. In the past, I had a dream to marry once in a lifetime with the person I love. But what do you want to say, I actually married you!."
"I-I don't mean that. I-i-!."
"You must love me. And I'll love you!."
"Huh!!," replied Salsa cengo. He looked at Azka with a look of wonder.
"I'm sure you heard what I said just now!."
"I-iya indeed. But loving someone is not as easy as you say. It takes time, the process also many things to grow love!."
"I know, I just want us to learn to love each other. Is my request too difficult for you to grant?."
Salsa was silent again, she was in a dilemma. Can she love her husband. And can Azka love him.
"I'm not going to force you. Like you said, everything needs a process. So, let's go through this relationship from the beginning as friends?."
"Friends?" asked Salsa to make sure.
"Friends. We start with friends. I promise I won't demand anything from you. Nor will I ask for my rights unless you willingly grant them!."
Salsa glared at Azka's remark, "That's impossible. So don't dream!" said Salsa ketus.
"What?."
"Yes the part where I'll give it first!."
Azka laughed "So you're more willing to channel my wishes to other women?."
"That can't either. Uh--!."
Azka's laughter came out, she felt Salsa was a cute plain woman.
"I-i mean. Yeah, not me!."
"That means I'm first, can dong!," asked Azka teasingly. Salsa's face was red. She's not an older girl who doesn't understand adult issues.
"I don't want to talk about that. I was tired, going to sleep!," the woman turned to Azka.
"So how? You want to be friends with me?."
"Hm!." Azka smiled at his wife's funny behavior, she was really grateful for Salsa's presence. His life that used to feel dull and flat now feels more colorful.
I'm not gonna waste you, Sal. I even thank God for sending you into my life. I think I'm starting to fall in love with you.
