Two months passed quickly.
It was getting dark, but Kamila did not come. Is he not going home? thought Riki.
He kept pacing in front of the porch of the house to wait for his wife's return.
"Where is he? This time we are not home yet!" he grumbled with resentment in his heart.
He glimpsed a digital clock that coiled around his wrist. The figure seen there shows eight o'clock past thirty-five minutes. Kamila doesn't usually come home late at night.
The swift footsteps entering the yard of the house makes Riki turn his head towards the gate.
"I'm home!" her soft voice made Riki link her eyebrows together.
The man approached the wife who was walking into the porch of the house. "Where have you been? Why did the clock just come home? Did you run away until you don't remember coming home? Or are you looking for a side job? Or maybe ... a man who's willing to pay for your body!"
The question from her husband further discouraged Kamila. Without wanting to answer, Kamila stepped inside the house.
I think he is tired of work. Now, must grow tired from Riki's chatter. Mila was too lazy to respond to Riki's useless scolding for her.
Riki immediately pulled his wife's hand violently. "I'm asking, but you're ignoring me?" the clasping made Kamila gasp. "Good yes, Mil. Now that you're getting brave against me, you can already find your own money!" his voice is getting higher.
"I'm tired, Mas." That's all Kamila said in response.
Riki clucked in annoyance. "Tired? His name is a workman like that. That's what I feel every day for working to earn a living for the family. You just know what it's like to work?" jeered.
Kamila sighed, then turned to face her husband. "Finding that living is your responsibility, Mas. So, it's only natural that you work." Kamila replied.
"You think I'm just getting tired of working?" Ask Kamila back. "Mas. You have been unemployed for five months, staying at home and I am working when my womb has begun to grow. Don't you feel sorry for seeing me like this? Working with a distended stomach," urged Kamila.
"I stayed home thinking, too, you know! Not just silence, not obvious!" elak Riki's.
"Think? What do you think? How do I get a job? Or, how do I spend my hard-earned money and enjoy it with your parents?" Kamila's getting emotional.
Riki grew furious. His hands clenched revealing the transverse veins. However, before he spoke, a voice interrupted. "Aren't you willing to live enough of our lives?" the high voice coming from the person who just came.
Bu Nani is approaching. "Hey, Kamila! You are grateful to be able to live comfortably in our home. You should think, nothing is free in this world. It's only natural that you give us a little money,"
Kamila answered. "Mom, I'm pregnant with her future son Mas Riki, your granddaughter. When all pregnant women rest a lot for the good of the fetus in her womb, you tell me to work harder. Don't you have feelings?"
"Campilla!" Riki shouted out loudly. "Enough!" his hands are out front. "If you don't sincerely give us money, you better find a place to live and take care of yourself" Riki said gritting his teeth. "Go away from here, because I don't want to take care of your baby when he's born! Go there," Riki's hand hung in the air while pointing outwards.
Kamila clenched her hands hearing the words from her husband's mouth. How could he say such a thing, so hurtful to a wife who was carrying the fruit of their love?
"ammy!" Bu Nani pulls his son's hand to lower him. "If you throw it away, then we cannot eat well and buy all our necessities. Think about it carefully!" whispering in his son's ear.
"Calm down, Mom! He wouldn't dare to leave the house, let alone under such circumstances!" sahut Riki whispered.
"What if he decides to leave?"
"No will! You believe in me the same. She is a good woman who upholds the meaning of marriage. So, he wouldn't dare to ...!"
Riki had not been able to continue her words, Kamila said with a restrained cry.
"Why are you that same as me, Mom?" the mother and son pair turned towards Kamila . "Are you going to let me go in this state?" ask Kamila again. "Think about our son, Mommy. I beg!" lirih.
Riki and Bu Nani folded their hands on their chest. Both of them felt haughty as it turned out Kamila was begging. "It's true what I said, Mom!" speaking through the eyes.
"You're right, Rik! Make him bend his knees and obey all our wishes" Ms. Nani replied to her son's words by throwing a haughty look at each other.
Kamila had long since fallen silent to her head. He doesn't know what to say. He hoped this was all just a dream he had never experienced. But the truth is in sight.
"Are you sure of what you said to me?" Kamila kept asking to make sure of the decision she was going to make.
Bu Nani came forward to Kamila. "Hey, Kamila! If Riki had said that, then he was sure of what he said." Bu Nani said.
"Please ask Mas Riki, Mom!" his voice was barely heard.
Riki squinted his eyes, then approached his wife closer. "You're asking me, am I sure of what I said?" He emphasized every word. "What do you want to hear from me?" Riki lowered his face with both hands holding his wife's shoulder.
Kamila looked up at her husband. "I hope you're not serious about saying it," Kamila said to be sure, but that made Riki even more arrogant.
Riki chuckled with Kamila's answer. "It's a shame I had to let you down, baby!" said it. "Because I'm sure of what I said!" riki then continued.
Kamila was seen closing her eyes as Riki said what she wanted to hear.
"But if I want to change my mind, then you must obey all the wishes of me and my parents, your in-laws. How dear?" Riki.
Kamila looks enthusiastic. "What is that, Mom?"
"Hmmm ... Don't ever complain about what my parents and I did! Second, if we ask for money, then you must directly give without asking what for. Third ...!" riki did not have time to say, Kamila immediately cut her husband's speech.
"I agree!" Kamila said quickly.
"Really!" the eyes of the two people sparkled at Kamila's approval.
"All right, now give me your money!" The mother-in-law raised her hand asking Kamila for money.
Kamila smiled wryly at the words of her in-laws without making those small talk. "Do you think I'll obey all your wishes?"
"Lho, didn't you agree?" Bu Nani frowned with her hands still hanging in the air.
"I'm not a fool who stays up on a tree that's almost uprooted!" kamila Cibir.
"You mean?" both_Mother and child were staring curiously.
"I agree! Not to stay here and obey all your wishes. But, I agreed to get out of this house!" clearly, while stepping foot into the house.
"What?" The mother and son looked at each other at Kamila's words just now.
Without saying any more, Kamila tidied up her clothes and set foot out of the house that made her tormented.
Seeing Kamila leave, the mother-in-law became worried. Kamila is the one who meets all their needs. Starting from monthly money, to even for non-essential purposes.
Ms. Nani quickly encouraged her son to persuade her daughter-in-law. It becomes alarming if Kamila actually leaves her house.
Riki rushed in after his wife. He stopped the hand of his wife who was busy cleaning her clothes. "Camila. Are you sure you're gonna get out of here?" Riki asked in a worried tone, but instead of worrying about Kamila, it was more precisely the fear of being left behind.
Kamila glanced at a glance, before continuing her steps back. "I can leave my parents' house for you. Why can't I leave you guys for my comfortable life!" sahutnya.
After getting her things done, Kamila stepped away from the house with a carry-on bag containing her clothes.
Riki just stared at the passing of his wife. "He's gone really!"
